~Alex's POV
The moment I turned back to Luca, my mind shifted from Bella to the day ahead. Bella had already walked off to freshen up, leaving me and Luca alone in the living room. I let out a small breath and rubbed my hands together.
"So, what's on the agenda today?" I asked him, leaning against the kitchen counter with a casual but tired air. I wasn't exactly in the mood to deal with business, but I knew life wasn't going to slow down just because I wanted it to.
Luca, ever efficient and always on top of things, glanced at his phone and started listing off my schedule. "You've been invited to attend the commissioning of a new hospital by the Alpha of Blue Ridge Pack. It's a big event, Alex. Pretty much all the high-ranking alphas and betas from nearby packs will be there."
I raised an eyebrow, surprised. "An entire hospital commissioning? Sounds fancy. Do we really need to attend?"
