Marilyn's pov:
As I slept, my mind racing with thoughts of Bquis and my parents, my mum's firm hand shook me awake. "Wake up, wake up! It's time for school," she urged, her voice stern. I groggily opened my eyes, feeling a sting on my back from her gentle tap.
"Mummy wake us at 5:30 am" I said, still half asleep. I am trying to convince her to let me sleep more,with the excuse of postponing the time of her waking us up…..
Although we wake up 5am,so she already knows that as my excuse to sleep more….not so funny,I know,I know...
"No you are not waking up by 5:30,the last time I trusted you to wake by that time you disappointed me.....Get up fast and go have your bath," she replied.
Yea yea that's true tho,the last time really didn't end well….that's a story to tell another day.,,…and mind you she only says that whenever I tell her to let us sleep more….

I quickly got up, woke Taniel and Tracy, and we all headed for our baths. After brushing our teeth, we discussed our plans for the day. However, our conversation was cut short by my mum's voice.
"You don't have shame!,I woke you around 5;30 and look at the time,You're busy discussing,,..,,immediately it is 7:30. You're not going anywhere," she shouted.
We quickly dressed up, and my mum handed us our school bags…..after making sure we were good to go,she locked the door and we assembled outside to take a motor that will take us directly to her shop…..yea we go to her shop because it's more closer to our school and we leave our school bags there,so we have to pick our bags,select the books we are going to have today,….you can say my mum's shop is a small home….because we literally put anything there…..you could see our timetable boldly pasted on the wall of her shop…after we selected the necessary books from her shop.
She gave us money for lunch and anointed our heads with olive oil, a gesture that showed her care despite her strict nature.
With our bags packed and heads anointed, we boarded a shuttle bus to school.
