The sea roared as if whispering the secrets of the absent. The sun hadn't risen yet, and the only silence was the wind whipping through the tents.
Inside the command tent, Franco stared at the map before him, while Columbo fiddled with strange devices surrounding the area like domesticated animals ready to pounce.
Franco (with a long sigh):
"Every time we get closer to calm... a new monster sprouts."
Marco (entering with steaming coffee):
"This isn't the end of the world, Franco. It's just... a new season of madness."
Rocco (smiling as he cleaned his weapon):
"And who doesn't love new seasons?"
Irina (staring at the screen):
"Wait... this can't be true!"
Savio (raises an eyebrow):
"Irina, don't scare us... I've had enough shocks for this month."
Irina (zooming in):
"This is a photo from an abandoned spy satellite... of a man emerging from an underground lab near the ruins of the old Zacrota base. The man looks... like Luca Ferré!"
Sudden silence.
Franco (in a low voice):
"Luca is dead... We saw him buried."
Colombo (suddenly getting up):
"Sometimes... geniuses don't die, they just disappear and come back with new faces."

Hours later - near the ruins of the old Zacrota base
The place is covered in ash from the wreckage, and the roar of the sea interspersed with the silence of the ruins gives a sense of unreality. The squad moves cautiously.
Marco (pointing to a mask on the ground):
"I wonder if Luca has returned as a villain? I hope so. I need an interesting opponent."
Rocco (sarcastically):
"Maybe he's back to ask us for a loan."
Suddenly, a man's silhouette emerges from the smoke.
Voice:
"Did you miss me, you idiots?"
Luca Ferri emerges, his face scarred, his hair longer, and his black, luxurious clothes torn at the bottom.
Franco (astonished):
"Luca... How?"
Luca (smiles sarcastically):
"Zacrota didn't kill me... they preserved me. They put me in an experimental pod, thinking I'd be their next project... but I decided to be their nightmare."
Savio:
"Are you with us or against us?"
Luca:
"I'm with myself... but it looks like my path will cross yours again."

Colombo (checking Luca's pulse with a small device):
"Your blood is a mix of human and nano-machine?! You're officially the weirdest person in the room... and I am!"
Luca (laughing):
"All this so I can live and expose who's behind Zacrota... and who's planning the next phase."
He takes a small device out of his pocket, displaying a map with nine red dots spread across the continent.
Luca:
"These aren't enemy bases... these are control centers for a project they've dubbed Plan Blue."
Franco:
"Plan Blue?"
Luca:
"A network of artificial intelligences connected to human minds, controlling everything from the weather... to political decisions."
Marco (laughing as he sips his coffee):
"Oh, cool... now even the rain is made of conspiracies."
