That sharp voice echoed throughout the guild hall, shaking the hearts of everyone who heard it.
In an instant, the Guild Master and I froze. My fist was still suspended mid-air, while the man before me reluctantly lowered his arm. All eyes turned toward the source of the voice.
Velthya.
She stood at the entrance, slightly out of breath, clearly having run all the way here. Her silver hair flowed over her shoulders, and her blue eyes stared sharply at both of us. There was anger in them but also an unmistakable worry.
Neither of us said a word as Velthya stepped inside, weaving through the frozen adventurers paralyzed by the heavy atmosphere. When she stood between us, she turned to me.
"Sylvia, please explain. What exactly happened? Why did you attack a guild staff member?"
I remained silent for a few seconds, debating whether she deserved to know everything. But in the end, I nodded slightly. I opened my mouth to explain, but....
