The Land of the Undead

Ten thousand years ago, the world changed forever.

The rise of supernatural beings marked the beginning of a new age—the Era of the Undead—a time when immortality ceased to be myth and the line between life and death blurred. Chaos spread like wildfire. Kingdoms fell, cities burned, and the skies thundered with celestial war. Oceans trembled under the weight of ancient power.

Amid the devastation, a divine being descended—the Heir of Divine—to restore balance. With him came Lumen's Will, a sacred law binding all beings under divine order. He split the lands and seas, ending bloodshed by granting each race dominion while imposing strict laws to maintain peace.

To the surprise of many, the Heir chose humans—fragile yet adaptable—as custodians of Lumen's Will. In return, humans were granted a unique gift: the power to cultivate their blood, awaken extraordinary abilities, and bond with Soul Beings for protection.

But this blessing came with a price: any human who defied Lumen's Will would face divine judgment—and the wrath of the supernatural.

At the top of existence stood the Angels, celestial guardians of the Divarys Realm. Beings of pure light, they were forbidden from interfering in the mortal world unless demons broke divine law. Though their enmity with demons was eternal, open war would invite divine punishment.

Beneath them were the Vampires, immortal rulers of the frozen Chirosa Dominion. Ageless and disease-proof, they were bound by an ancient pact not to harm humans. But their elegance concealed a curse: an unending thirst for human blood. Only the Hunters, elite human warriors trained to slay supernaturals, could truly threaten them.

Werewolves and Mermaids served as nature's sentinels. The werewolves ruled the untamed Myralis Territory, honing strength and senses beyond human limits. The mermaids watched over the deep, time-warped oceans of Avaris Domain. Both remained fiercely loyal to Lumen's Will, guarding their lands from outsiders.

At the bottom of the divine hierarchy were the Demons, rulers of the cursed Tamorath Land. Wielders of the forbidden Death Slayer ability, demons could only enter the mortal world through high-cost summoning rituals—often claiming the summoner's life. Bound to Lumen's Will but ever seeking its loopholes, they remained the world's greatest threat.

Unlike other races, humans alone could evolve spiritually. Through devotion, prayer, and discipline, they refined their blood and awakened powers capable of rivalling immortality. At the heart of this transformation stood the Tree of Light—a glowing manifestation of one's life force.

At age five, each child underwent the Ceremony of Awakening, revealing their Tree of Light and the abilities within. A strong, radiant tree signified purity and divine favor. Among all, none were more revered than the royal line of the Suralis Empire, whose Trees of Light bloomed golden—a mark of divine blood.

But the rarest of all was the Iris, the mythical Blue Tree of Light. Said to manifest only in the one chosen to wield Lumen's Will as a weapon, the Iris granted absolute authority over all supernatural beings. Yet no Iris had bloomed for 5,000 years.

Without a Lumen's Spirit, the empire's strength faded.

Meanwhile, a new conflict brewed—the rise of hybrids.

Half-Bloods, born of humans and supernaturals, were versatile, able to evolve and grow stronger. But they walked a fine line. Through the Ceremony of Blood, they either embraced Lumen's Will—or risked losing their humanity. Yet, if they refined their blood too far, they severed their supernatural roots and became trapped between two worlds.

Mix-Bloods, born of two supernatural races, matured fast but couldn't evolve. Their powers were limited to their bloodline, and their adaptability was near zero. Pure-blood societies branded them abominations. Half-Bloods and Mix-Bloods alike lived in exile, mercenary bands, or under constant scrutiny.

Their existence destabilized the fragile order Lumen's Will tried to maintain.

Now, the once-glorious Suralis Empire teeters on collapse. No heir bears the Iris. No Lumen's Spirit rises. Noble houses claw for control. Forbidden alliances with supernaturals spread beneath the surface.

At the continent's center stands the Pillar of Sanctity, an ancient relic said to house the Will of Ultimate Sanctity—the secret to eternal life. Only the Lumen's Spirit can unlock its power. But in their absence, rebellion festers.

Prophecies speak of a Shadow Heir, one destined to destroy Lumen's Will and plunge the world into chaos.

Old powers awaken. Ancient enemies stir. The world stands at the edge of a new reckoning—one where light may fail, and darkness may rise to claim dominion.

The Era of the Undead was not the end.

It was only the beginning.
