Chapter 41 - Various High-End (2)

After the death of Vampire Count Sindellow, something unexpected happened—

The Demon Plague spread.

The system alert flickered onto the screen with ominous intensity:

System Prompt: The Demon Plague is spreading in a radius of 500x500 units. All humanoid lifeforms within range are affected and marked with [Vampiric Mark].

[Vampiric Mark]: Attacks have a 50% chance to trigger the vampiric effect (HP absorption). This mark can be upgraded.

Dawei froze.

Then he stared at the prompt.

Then he laughed.

Then he lost it.

"BLOOD RETURN ON HIT! HAHAHA—UPGRADABLE??"

This wasn't just a passive.

This was a walking PvP nightmare.

An undead-style battle regen effect tied to a brandable curse mark? That meant Dawei could drag this into the arena. He could bring the aftermath of a god-tier raid into player combat. Passive blood drain + his lifesteal + percentage-based weaponry? The synergy was criminal.

"This… this is money. This is meta."

Dawei hadn't smiled like this since that time he used a glitched terrain exploit to trap thirty players in the Acid Swamp and watched them melt for 20 minutes.

Now?

Now he was going to print gold.

And that wasn't all.

Now for the drops. Let's see if the old man gave me good meat or just scraps.

He pulled open the loot bag.

[Fallen Wings Drawing]: SS+ Tier • Special Item Blueprint

Short description. No stats. Minimalist.

Which usually meant insanely high-end.

The game never told you what these did up front. That was the point. Special item blueprints like this were meant for game-changers—high-concept crafting, transformation rituals, or unlocking hidden gear sets.

It was dark-gold tier, too. Not just SS+—but god-touched.

"If this turns out to be how I graft wings onto my back, I'm never logging off again."

[Dark Edge]: SS Tier • Weapon ComponentAttack +30%, Attack Speed +4, Armor Break Chance +20%

Dawei stared at it for a moment.

Then slammed the desk in joy.

"IT'S A PIECE OF A GOD-WEAPON!"

No fixed stats—just percentage-based scaling. That meant it was built for long-term use. The higher his base stats climbed, the more powerful this artifact would become.

And combined with lifesteal, armor break, and attack speed boost?

"I've become a one-man blender."

He could already imagine the forums melting down when he started stacking speed buffs and bleeding players out like rain barrels.

And then…

[Bad Badge]:A cursed badge soaked in arcane doom. Use: Chance to unlock an unknown class. May require purification. Can be entrusted to Sage Diosse to dispel doom.

That stopped him cold.

"Unknown class…?"

His finger hovered over the use button.

This wasn't a regular badge.

This was career content. And it was tied to a god-level drop.

Which meant it was real.

Dawei's thoughts raced. The tooltip clearly suggested that purification might be required, and the system never gave that kind of explicit guidance unless it mattered.

"A new class, huh? Not a subclass. Not a title. A real class."

He looked at the item for a long time.

Lit a cigarette.

Sat back in his chair, staring at the digital cloud of doom swirled into that black badge.

"I could use it right now."

"Or give it to Diosse and see what the system actually planned for it…"

He smoked in silence.

One minute.

Two.

Three.

"Screw it. This thing came with its own cinematic. I'm giving it to the NPC."

Dawei returned to the Sage's Lodge, the [Bad Badge] in hand.

The moment he stepped onto the porch, the door creaked open before he could knock. Sage Diosse was already waiting for him, robed in white and shadow, beard flowing like mist, eyes glowing with soft arcane light.

"Warrior," Diosse said, voice deep and proud. "You did not let me down. No… you shocked me. You ended a curse no one dared to name. For that… you shall be rewarded."

The old man raised one hand, and a glowing sigil burst from his palm. Magic swirled around Dawei's inventory, automatically detecting the cursed badge.

System Prompt: Detected [Bad Badge]. Do you wish to entrust it to Sage Diosse for purification? [Yes/No]

Yes.

Diosse's hand pressed against the badge. The blackened aura hissed and boiled away, replaced with radiant crimson.

The badge reshaped itself—runes unfolded, revealing a new symbol at the center: a scarlet fang wrapped in chains.

System Prompt: Class Unlock Detected. You have obtained the hidden class — [Bloodbound Executioner].

Dawei's jaw dropped.

"Wait... WHAT."
