Kael didn't wake up in a rush that morning. For once, he allowed himself a real moment of rest. After dedicating an entire week solely to training, it felt like the most precious gift he could afford himself—sleep.
The day before had been intense, spent entirely on working with the strange mark on his chest. Each time he felt his energy drain, he rested briefly, then resumed again. And again. And again.
Around noon, One came to wake him up.
Kael stirred, blinking a few times before sitting up with surprising vitality. His body ached slightly, but his mind was calm—almost light.
Everyone was gathered for lunch… everyone except Rimaly.
Kael sighed, a faint smile tugging at his lips.
"So, she's already left. Damn it… I couldn't even say goodbye because I was sleeping. Fine. I promised I'd visit her when I leave this place. I just hope… she gets to live a peaceful life."
