Chapter 10 - FIRST DATE

The following morning, the weekend had finally arrived—a Saturday. I was eagerly anticipating our first date, waking up prepared to embark on this special occasion. I had meticulously planned our day, ensuring that every moment would be memorable.

Our itinerary commenced with a visit to a secluded beach, a destination I had been searching for. Afterward, we would dine at a restaurant nestled near the sea, a place that I believed Ayu would cherish. Her affinity for the ocean made this choice particularly appealing, as she found the beauty of fish to be captivating.

As the evening drew near, we would conclude our outing at a park recommended by my aunt. She had shared a secret spot within the park, a place that held sentimental value for her. Although she was uncertain if anyone had discovered this hidden gem, she had fond memories of visiting it with my mom and high school friends.

Ayu had expressed a desire to experience the city skyline from a unique perspective, and I was determined to fulfill that wish. Aunt Yumi had guided me to the secret spot, a breathtaking vantage point that offered an unobstructed view of the city skyline, the houses, and the sky. She believed that Ayu would find this location particularly enchanting.

As I prepared for our date, I was meticulously selecting an outfit that would convey my admiration for Ayu. The decision-making process was challenging, but I eventually found the perfect attire. I wear a Sonoma Goods For Life Supersoft Flannel Button-Down Shirt, some black skinny jeans, and I wear classic Converse shoes. I looked at myself in the mirror and I was looking pretty good.

As I was exiting my room, I bid farewell to everyone as I approached the door to leave. My aunt was engaged in household chores, and my sister Ren was assisting her. However, while walking briskly, I had an intention of arriving early to await Ayu.

During my journey to the city, I had to make a stop at the train station, which was situated at a considerable distance from my residence in Tokyo. As I was engrossed in my thoughts, I failed to notice my close friend, Fuuto. He had waved at me, but I had not seen him. Subsequently, he gently pulled my hair, prompting me to react.

"Ouch! What the hell!?" I exclaimed, rubbing my hair, which had indeed caused some discomfort. It felt as if a mosquito had stung me.

"Yo!" Fuuto exclaimed, his face filled with excitement. He was wearing a hand sign.

"What was that for?" I inquired, rubbing my hair again.

"I was calling your name, but you did not respond. It seemed that you were so engrossed in your thoughts that you did not notice me." Fuuto observed my posture, tilting his head from side to side.

"Well, I suppose I was," I admitted.

"Wow, you look quite handsome today!" Fuuto remarked, his eyes widening in admiration.

"Wait! Don't tell me you're going on a date with Ayu," his voice filled with anticipation.

"Yes, I am," I replied, blushing slightly. I scratched the back of my head in embarrassment.

"It's about time," Fuuto said, averting his gaze.

"Shut up! You're the third person who has told me that," I retorted, crossing my arms over my chest.

"Oh, really? Who are the other two people beside me?" Fuuto asked, making a silly face close to me.

"It was Aunt Yumi and Ren," I sighed.

"I knew it," Fuuto said with a smile.

"Then why did you ask me?"

"As you proceed on your journey to Ayu, take a moment to yourself. Have fun, my friend," Fuuto bid farewell with a peace sign as he turned and departed. As I previously mentioned to him.

As I was approaching the train station, I noticed that the train doors were about to close. In a moment of panic, I ran towards the train and accidentally bumped into a man. Although the collision was not severe, it caused him to become upset. As he was expressing his annoyance, I continued running and apologized profusely.

Despite my efforts to catch up, the train doors were closing rapidly. In a desperate attempt to board the train, I sprinted forward and managed to squeeze onto the platform just as the doors began to move. As the train started to depart, I found myself breathing heavily, trying to catch my breath. However, I was acutely aware that the train was crowded, and I was struggling to take in enough air.

The tight squeeze of the train made it difficult to breathe comfortably. While I was trying to catch my breath, I noticed that the train was moving towards the city. I took a deep breath, trying to fill my lungs with air, but I was unable to do so effectively due to the crowded conditions.

As the train continued its journey, I remained standing up, trying to conserve my energy. I was aware that I would have to wait for the next stop at the train station, which was approximately 15 minutes away. After disembarking from the train, I would have to walk for another 15 minutes to reach the meeting point with Ayu.

I hoped to arrive at the meeting point before Ayu, as I wanted to make a positive impression on her. I wanted to demonstrate my care and affection for her, and I believed that being a gentleman was essential in such a situation.

While the train was moving, I kept an eye on my phone, checking the time and looking for any messages from Ayu. Unfortunately, I did not receive any messages from her. The only messages I received were from my aunt, Yumi, and Fuuto.

My aunt's message read, "If I am there yet with Ayu."

Fuuto's message read, "How are my beautiful angels doing on their first date?"

I would have sent messages to them after disembarking from the train, but I found it easier to use both hands when texting. However, due to the crowded conditions on the train, I was only able to use my left hand to hold the phone and swipe and touch the screen. My right hand was used to hold the handlebar of the passenger train. Having placed my phone away, I patiently awaited the arrival of the next stop.

After fifteen minutes, I finally arrived in the picturesque city of Tokyo. The view from the train window offered a captivating glimpse of the city, and I felt a sense of accomplishment as I realized I had reached my destination.

As I made my way to meet Ayu, I couldn't help but contemplate her attire for the date. Would she opt for a formal dress, a stylish mini jeans skirt, or perhaps embrace the fashionable style of wealthy individuals adorned with sunglasses? Ultimately, the choice of her outfit was inconsequential to me. I would be delighted regardless of what she chose to wear.

The train announced that we were approaching the next stop. As the train gradually came to a halt, a soft noise emanated from its doors. Slowly, they opened, allowing passengers to disembark. Everyone exited the train, including myself. I was relieved to be out of the confines of the vehicle.

As I approached the exit, I noticed that people were still disembarking. I took a deep breath of relief, feeling a sense of anticipation.

"Sigh* Finally here," I muttered under my breath.

Reaching into my pocket, I retrieved my phone to check if Ayu had sent me a message. To my delight, she had. The message, sent approximately seven minutes prior, read:

"Hello, handsome,

I just wanted to inform you that I am almost there. In about fifteen minutes, I will be at the spot we agreed to meet. I am eagerly anticipating our date.

With love,

Ayu"

Two smiling cat emojis accompanied the message. Subsequently, I received another notification from Ayu, accompanied by an image, as I opened the image.

A photograph of Ayu's only face, captured in the window of the train and the cityscape, was shared with me. However, it was only a partial image of her, leaving me curious about her attire for the date. This anticipation heightened my excitement, and I responded to Ayu, informing her that I was en route to the meeting location and eagerly awaiting her arrival.

Upon reaching the designated meeting spot, which was an alternative park near the train station, approximately fifteen minutes away on foot, I found myself waiting with a mixture of nerves and anticipation. This was my first date with Ayu, and I was determined to make it memorable.

As I waited, I couldn't help but feel a sense of confidence that everything would unfold smoothly. While scanning the park for any sign of Ayu, my phone rang, signaling a notification. I suspected it was Ayu, and upon opening the message, I was greeted with an image of myself, my face turned towards the camera.

As I examined the photograph, my gaze was drawn to the precise position where Ayu was standing. To my delight, she was in front of me, her laughter echoing through the park. Notably, she was not wearing her glasses.

"Hello, handsome men," Ayu greeted me with a smile, her eyes gleaming with happiness. As I took in her appearance, I was captivated by her attire. She wore a black dress that accentuated her figure, complemented by a delicate black necklace. Her beauty was overwhelming, and I found myself unable to look away.

"Daisuke, aren't you going to say anything or are you just going to stare at me? Hehe," Ayu teased, her cheeks flushing as I continued to gaze at her.

"Oh, I apologize. I couldn't help but be captivated by your appearance. Your radiant eyes and captivating beauty left me spellbound." I expressed my profound admiration and embarrassment in response to her.

However, Ayu remained composed and her cheeks flushed even deeper. She seemed to be touched by my words, as if they reflected the beauty she embodied, both in her attire and in her essence.

"Thank you," Ayu replied, genuinely pleased with my words. In my thoughts, I admired her attire for the day. As I raised my left arm in a gentlemanly gesture, Ayu noticed my movement.

"Shall we commence our date?" I asked with a smile.

"Yes," Ayu replied, a slight blush spreading across her cheeks as she held my arm as we walked towards the sea aquarium. Upon arriving at the aquarium, Ayu's eyes widened in awe as she took in the sights.

"Ain't no way this is a sea aquarium?" she exclaimed, her voice filled with excitement. "I mean The title alone suggests otherwise. Is it Daisuke?"

"Yes, I remember a few weeks ago when you expressed your desire to visit a sea aquarium. You mentioned that it was a beautiful place with a stunning view and that you were particularly fond of seafish. I believe this is the one you had in mind."

Ayu's smile grew even wider, and she grabbed my hand, urging me to hurry inside.

"Let us enter and explore this magnificent place!" she exclaimed, her enthusiasm palpable.

As we entered the aquarium, we were greeted by an abundance of marine life. Sharks, octopuses, starfish, and countless other creatures darted gracefully through the water. The sight was breathtaking, and Ayu's smile illuminated the entire space.

"Wow!," she said, her eyes wide with wonder.

While taking pictures of the sea fish, Ayu's smile remained constant, guiding me through the aquarium. Her smile made my day. As Ayu hurried towards me, she suggested taking a picture of the two of us.

"Daisuke, let us capture this moment together," she said, grabbing my arm and pointing the camera at us. The beautiful view of the sharks provided a stunning backdrop for our photograph.

As we continued our exploration, Ayu's smile remained a constant companion, making every moment spent together a cherished memory. As we were experiencing hunger, I decided to take Ayu to the Sea Aquarium restaurant. The restaurant features a unique design where guests can observe seafish swimming in the aquarium walls. I was confident that Ayu would be delighted by this experience.

"Oh my gosh! A restaurant with sea fish swimming in the walls! This is incredible," Ayu exclaimed with wide eyes and excitement.

"Wow!" Ayu was impressed as she looked inside the restaurant while we were entering. I inquired with the host if I had a reservation and if my name was on the list. She confirmed my name and informed me that it was on the list. We were seated and the waiter led us to our table. Ayu was about to sit down, but I was being courteous to her by moving her seat as she settled in. However, the next step was ordering our food from the menu. As the waiter approached to take our order, Ayu expressed her desire for a high-quality sushi dish, while I opted for a regular hamburger with fries.

As the waiter retrieved the menu cover book, The waitress approached the chef to inquire about the orders we had placed.

"Daisuke, this restaurant is exquisite. The sea fish swimming gracefully against the wall is simply mesmerizing. I am utterly captivated and at a loss for words. It is truly remarkable."

"I had a strong feeling that you would appreciate this establishment, Ayu. I am delighted that you are enjoying it." I was looking at her as I held her hand, expressing my happiness that she was enjoying the place. Everything was proceeding smoothly as I had envisioned for Ayu.

"However, I must admit that the most cherished aspect of this date is your presence, Daisuke. That is undoubtedly the highlight of this evening." As she placed my hands on her cheeks and looked at me with her sparkling eyes, I was struck by the brilliance of her beauty. My eyes widened in awe as I gazed upon her, unable to find the words to express my admiration. She embodies the essence of beauty, and I find myself constantly expressing my awe at her.

"Gosh, I could gaze at you all day, Ayu. You are the epitome of beauty in this world." I smiled softly at her, and she reciprocated with a blush.

"You know, Daisuke, you possess a remarkable quality in this world." She smiled back, pleased by my words. Ayu is indeed a remarkable individual.

"Hey Ayu, I have a question for you."

"Sure, what's up, prince?" She chuckled and smiled at me.

"When did you start to develop feelings for me? Specifically, the attention you give me?" I asked, looking at her.

"Hmm, I'm glad you asked me that question," she replied. I was paying attention to her as she continued speaking.
