At the gates of the Konoha Military Police Force stood Hiashi Hyuga, cold and expressionless. Behind him trailed several members of the Hyuga clan.
"Where's Uchiha Ichiro? Tell him to come out."
"You think every random mutt can meet our captain? Do you really think he's someone you can just summon?"
A Konoha Police Force jōnin scoffed at Hiashi, showing zero courtesy.
As the two main dōjutsu clans of Konoha, the Uchiha and Hyuga had never seen eye to eye. The Uchiha clan looked down on the Hyuga, and the Hyuga clan had nothing but contempt for the Uchiha in return.
"You're asking for it."
Hiashi's younger brother, Hizashi Hyuga, stepped forward in an instant. His Byakugan activated, veins bulging around his eyes, and he took the opening stance of the Gentle Fist.
The Uchiha jōnin quickly formed hand seals, ready for combat.
"Uchiha Goro, stand down!"
Ken, the deputy captain of the Police Force, intervened and stopped Goro. His three-tomoe Sharingan locked onto Hizashi with a sharp gaze.
"Starting a fight at the Police Force? You better think through the consequences."
"Hizashi, stop."
Hiashi called off his brother.
"Ken, where is your captain? Tell him to come out."
"If you've got something to say, say it to me. There's no need to trouble Lord Ichiro. He doesn't have time to deal with trivial matters like this."
Ken's eyes flashed with contempt as he looked at Hiashi. He had absolutely no respect for the Hyuga clan.
The newly appointed clan head, Hiashi Hyuga, was merely at elite jōnin level. If it came down to a real fight, even Ken wasn't sure Hiashi could beat him.
With that kind of strength, you think you're qualified to speak to Lord Ichiro?
"You arrested members of the Hyuga clan, sealed off our store — don't you think the Uchiha owe us an explanation?"
"An explanation? You think your Hyuga clan is worthy of one?"
Ken's response was forceful and direct, showing no fear of a fight.
If Hiashi really dared to act out, Ken was ready to arrest him on the spot for attacking the Police Force. Don't think he'd hesitate just because Hiashi was the clan head — that title wouldn't protect him.
"So, you're looking down on the Hyuga clan?"
Hiashi's gaze turned dangerously cold.
"Yeah? So what if I am? If you've got a problem, try doing something about it."
Ken unleashed a powerful burst of chakra. The Uchiha members of the Police Force followed suit, releasing killing intent one by one.
The Hyuga clan, daring to go up against the Uchiha? They didn't have the qualifications.
Honestly, the Hyuga had no one but themselves to blame.
Their Kekkei Genkai, the Byakugan, wasn't weak — but how many of them could truly use it to its full potential?
To the Hyuga, the Byakugan was mostly just a tool for long-range vision, x-ray sight, and a 360-degree field of view with no blind spots.
Also, that x-ray vision wasn't the perverted kind — it showed things like the target's chakra network, acupoints, skeletal structure, and chakra flow.
"For the honor of the Hyuga clan — attack!"
Hiashi had finally lost his patience.
Everyone was already mocking the Hyuga. If he, the clan head, didn't stand up and react, how could he continue leading the clan?
Hiashi took great pride in the honor of his clan. He couldn't tolerate being looked down on.
"Like we're afraid of you. All units, engage!"
Every Uchiha in the Police Force launched into battle. A chaotic fight between the Uchiha and Hyuga erupted.
The Gentle Fist paired with Byakugan was formidable — but unfortunately, their opponents were the Uchiha.
Even Goro had arrived on the scene. The Hyuga only had Hiashi as an elite jōnin, and Hizashi was still a step below that level.
So in the end, the entire Hyuga group was defeated. The Uchiha won decisively.
"What should we do with them?" Goro turned to Ken.
"Arrest them all, obviously. They caused trouble, and that's exactly what we're here for."
"Should we inform Lord Ichiro?"
"No need. Lord Ichiro is busy today. Let's not disturb him. This is going to be a rough day as it is — we can't afford to embarrass him."
They knew full well that the Hyuga wouldn't be the last. Other clans were definitely coming next — unlike the smart ones like the Ino-Shika-Chō trio.

"What did you just say? You want me to follow Uchiha Ichiro?"
Uchiha Mikoto looked stunned.
Uchiha Fugaku had suddenly shown up today. She had planned to bring up canceling the engagement — but before she could even speak, Fugaku's words had left her speechless.
Sure, she had already made up her mind to break off the engagement, but as of now, she was still officially his fiancée.
Getting passed off while still engaged? She had never seen anything so absurd.
Fugaku's expression was cold. "From now on, you belong to that bastard. You don't have a say in this — you will obey."
He had once treated Mikoto decently, but now he couldn't be bothered to act polite.
Mikoto remained silent, her eyes filled with loathing as she stared at him.
Seeing her unresponsive, Fugaku's temper flared.
"What now? Trying to play the virtuous woman? You think I don't know what happened between you and that bastard Ichiro? I'm handing you over to him — isn't that exactly what you wanted?"
His mocking tone filled Mikoto with guilt and frustration.
He made her sound like some promiscuous woman — but she was the real victim here.
If Ichiro hadn't threatened her with her only family, she would've rather died than give in.
"I want to end our engagement. From now on, there's nothing between us."
Her voice was ice-cold.
"Fine by me. Even if you didn't, I would've called it off myself."
He cast her one last look of disdain. He was going to become the Uchiha clan head — how could he marry a woman who had lost her chastity? Especially one about to be passed to Ichiro.
If he didn't cancel the engagement, wouldn't that make him the one being cuckolded?
But if he broke it off himself — even if Mikoto became Ichiro's woman, he could still tell himself he wasn't the one who got played.
That, to him, was a psychological victory.
