"Eliminate my successor, me?!"
Just what the hell is wrong with this system? Every god is now staring at me.
Kara said, "Sorry, Gar, but as you can see, I can't help but agree with the system. Luo is just too strong. We can't control him or subdue him easily either."
With those as her last words, she released a purple gas with little golden, fly-like things roaming within it. Those were the high-ranking spirits under Shila. But well, she is now in control of Kara, so she's nothing more than a puppet now.
Because of Luo's advanced magic circle, I've loosened some of the system's restrictions so it can't dominate me like it does the other gods. But it can still act through others. And thus, after inhaling the gas, I fell to the ground, paralyzed. I couldn't move a muscle—at least I could still see everything, to tell you guys how they paid for it.
So, after temporarily eliminating me, all of them went after Luo. They surrounded him from six directions. Those dirty bastards! How can they call themselves gods after doing such a hideous act?
I know they're being controlled to a certain level, but except for Kara, no one is trying to fight it. Shame on them. I know Luo did use the power of the Chaos Flower—a flower once wielded by the enemy of the Supreme God—but that was millennia ago!
Before heading off, the fire god whispered, "You know, I never liked your arrogance. Never. But good enough—I can't beat you, but your disciple? I can beat him up in your place, at least."
Then he left with a smug face.
Really, I hope Luo kicks his a** so hard he remembers it till the day he retires.
Did he not see how Luo overwhelmed Zolarous? He's nowhere near Zolarous's level, yet his attitude is—ugh! Die! Die! Die!
The fire god went to Luo. For some reason, he seemed to be in command. He told everyone to restrain Luo and started chanting a powerful spell.
As he ordered, everyone chained Luo with everything they had. Even though Luo was being pulled from five directions, they couldn't move him.
Even though Luo was being pulled from five directions , they could move him. Wait- now that I know some physics through Luo, I think they are neutralizing the effects because they are pulling stupidly from different directions.
Really, the brain is always better than brawn.
On the other hand, the fire god made a mini sun by borrowing the power of the others.
Then he shot it at Luo.
Luo just glared at it, and it blasted away before it could even reach him.
All of them were shocked—like, super shocked.
The fire god was like, "Impossible!!! How can a mere brat be more intimidating than any of us?"
Then they all started to attract together…
---
Three from the left with swords, three with magic, and one is buffing them. Good strategy—but not in front of someone who's a hundred times stronger than you.
Kara was even better with swords than the Demon King, though she lacked a bit of raw force. The others were filling that gap. She was going all out, clashing with Luo. Luo was on the defensive, but for some reason, he'd calmed down a little. I didn't see the same aggressiveness from before. Even though he was fending off three gods with his sword, his black sphere had turned back into spirits and was now shielding him from magical attacks.
It's really amazing how Luo is holding his ground against all of them.
And the Fire God's expression is growing paler and paler as the battle drags on. The look of defeat on his face is incredibly satisfying. He deserves it.
Suddenly, the corpse of Zolarous began to float. A divine light descended onto it. The system took possession of the body…!
What the hell! Why is the system going this far? Is being strong really that much of a crime? He just wanted to save his little baby…
The system then said,
"I cannot let one live who could become a threat to His world—He who created it with such care. It was my fault for not foreseeing this crisis. So I, myself, will fix it.
I summon all the gods, under the authority granted by Supreme God Kagami Kujo, to assist me in preserving the world's balance."
Then all the gods turned into glowing petals and attached themselves to an arrow the system aimed at Luo.
I was able to move again—probably because the system is too focused on Luo to keep restraining me.
I turned to Luo and saw he had given up his primordial black form. He was back to normal. Is he mad? Why now? Did he run out of magic or something? Or…
"You won't change your mind, huh? What wrong have I—or my daughter—ever done? Why are you…?"
Luo was about to say more, but the system didn't listen.
She let go of the bowstring.
The arrow, infused with all six gods, shot toward him with far more force than the Chaos Lotus.
It spun so fast it created a spiral of six colors. It was about to hit Luo—and I closed my eyes.
I couldn't watch. He had become far too close to me in the past few days.
I couldn't bear to see him die.
What could I even do? I can't fight the system—it's the very source of my power.
My eyes filled with tears. They wouldn't stop, no matter what I did.
"Huh! Do you really think that would be enough to kill me?"
I heard someone whisper.
But… but it can't be… I wiped away my tears and looked at Luo.
He was still there. Smiling gently. Waving at me.
What the fu—?!
"How are you even alive after that?" I whispered.
"Nothing much. But don't look so happy for someone who was ready to make a river out of his tears."
He could even hear that from there?
"Hey! I was really worried, you know. But how? How?!"
He smiled again.
"You wanna know, huh? Okay. So let me tell--"
BANG!!! BANG!!! BANG!!!
All the space around us shattered into pieces. Luo and I have now entered the space of the system.
Here, she holds the same power as the Supreme God. Well, she might not be able to trap us in this void for long, but in that time, she could definitely kill me, at least.
I looked around, and in front of me was a woman in chains. Her eyes were covered by a white blindfold, her hands hung by heavy iron chains, and her feet looked like they had been smashed by a hammer.
Is she the prisoner of the system?
Am I going to end up in the same situation?
God help!
Wait—I'm a God too!
Well... I assume the Supreme God won't be helping me either, since the system is now on the enemy's side.
"Hey Luo, where are we? Are we going to end up the same way?"
"....."
He paused. A serious expression settled on his face. It seems he's on his guard for some reason.
Is the system here too?
I looked around—except for us, I didn't sense anyone. Me, Luo, and that lady.
"Hey Luo, I'm kind of freaking out now. So please, tell me what's going on?"
Luo turned to me , disbelief and flickering in his eyes he said, "How can you not get it? She is the system!"(ʘᗩʘ')
I looked at the imprisoned lady, then back at Luo. "She?"
Luo nodded.
I screamed and leapt a few meters away from the woman.
(What in the freaking world?!
She is the system?! Then why is she chained? Did somebody chain her?
Is there someone more powerful than her?
And why is the system a she?
Is the Supreme God, Kagami Kujo, here too?!
Nooooo! We're all going to die! Die! Die!)
My head was storming with chaos from these thoughts.
Both Luo and the system remained silent. And I… I'm kind of just a third party here.
Why do I have to be here? Why?!
Why didn't any of the other gods come?!
Breaking the silence, the system—the lady in chains—finally spoke.
