"Nathan your bride will arrive this afternoon you need to get ready for the wedding I have made all the preparations". His mother said as she entered his room.
"Mother I am not in the mood for all of this".Nathan said as he covered his face with the blankets.
"You need to come out of your shell".his mother said while opening the curtains.
"Mother I don't like crowded places,it makes me nervous and sick". Nathan said.
"Do you even hear yourself...."
"Good morning lady Isabelle".milan said as she walked in.
"Good morning to you too make sure he gets dressed on time,I have a lot to do".she said and left.
"My king greetings,you should do what mother says". Milan said smiling as she walked to the bed
"Won't you feel hurt".he said.
"Of course not my king this is for the best". She said smiling.
"Milan I am only doing this because to protect you, please don't misunderstand me".he said.
"I know that my king that's why you should get ready on time".she said.
"Fine my love not without a hug".he said smiling.
"I love you".she said as she hugged him.
"Me too".he said.
"My king I have to go now and assist them with the preparations".she said as she freed herself.
"Take care of yourself".he said smiling.
"You too my king".she said in a bow and left.
We got to the dock, there was a royal ship waiting for us.I was having mixed feelings but I dared not to show it.The ship sailed till dusk and we got to the kingdom of elanite. I was escorted to the carriage, there were only few people at the dock. It was beautiful and bigger than most of the kingdoms I had been to.
We finally got to the Royal mansion. It was ten times bigger than our manor back home, The yard was very beautiful and neat, it even had a fountain, they were servants working outside and they had guards everywhere.The air was serene and comforting. the carriage stopped in front of the Main door.
"Greetings princess".A man said in a bow as I stepped out of the carriage.
"Greetings".I said.
"Well I am Gregor the Royal house keeper you must be tired from your journey come with me".he said smiling as he opened the doors.something seemed off about him.
I couldn't help but stare at everything, It was so beautiful and royal, The big chandeliers were gold plated, The walls were decorated with pictures of the family and former kings.the servants bowed as they we walked,the decorations were so beautiful. The passage lights were dim, I couldn't see properly.
"This is where I stop".gregor said as he stood in front of a door.
"Thank you".I said and I opened the door.
"Good evening my princess".the girls said in a bow. they were two girls.
"Good evening".I said.
"My lady we are here to get you ready for the wedding".they said.
"I want only her to get me ready".I said as I pointed at the shy one.
"As you wish my lady".the bolder one said and left.
"What's your name".I said.
"Lily my princess".she said.
"well lily get to work".I said. I removed my gown and my armour ashe was so surprised to see my armour.
"Not a word about it".I said as I entered the tub.
"Yes my princess".she said in a bow.
I stood facing the mirror,I couldn't believe that I was the one,the ball gown was really uncomfortable coupled with the fact that I wore my armour.
"you look beautiful".lily said smiling.
"Thank you".I said.
"My princess it's time to go now".gregor said from outside.
"Lily hide my luggage make sure no one see it or else".I whispered.
"Yes my princess".she nodded quickly.
"You look beautiful".gregor said in a bow as lily opened the door.
"Thank you gregor".I said smiling. We went downstairs and gregor opened a door. Everyone stared at me as I walked in, it was the royal courtyard. I wouldn't let their stares intimidate me,I walked to the front. The throne was beautiful.
"Welcome princess".A lady said as she hugged me.
"Thank you lad....".
"Isabelle,I am the king's mother".she said smiling.
"Here comes the king".The spokesman shouted, everyone stood up as he walked in. I couldn't help but stare at him, he was so elegant and handsome,he had blue eyes, his perfect set of teeths, and his lips, his fair skin, his brown curly hair, he was indeed handsome.I had never felt like this before.
"Let the king and his bride step forward". The priest said. We stepped forward.
"Princess do you take king nathan to be your husband, king, and lord to cherish, to love and respect till death do you part and to become the queen".he said.
"Yes I do".I said.
"King nathan do you take princess to be your wife,and queen to cherish,to love and hold till death do you part".he said.
"Yes I do". he said.
"Exchange rings".the priest said as he opened a small box.they were diamond rings.We exchanged rings.
"Now my king you must place the crown on her head".the priest said.he placed the crown on my head.
"We now pronounce them husband and wife,greetings to the king and the new king of the elanite kingdom".the priest said and everyone stood up clapping.
"Let the celebrations begin".the spoke man said. The king sat on the throne and I sat beside him.
"How long is this rubbish going to last".I said absentmindedly. The king and his guard looked at me in shock.
"How unruly".nathan said in surprise.
"Ouch".I said,I was becoming very uncomfortable.
"What's wrong".he said worriedly.
"It's nothing".I said, my dress had already tore.
"Are you sure".he said
"I need to pee".I said.
"You can't just leave the celebration like that...."
"Of course".I said as I stood up. he immediately removed his cloak and covered me with it. Everyone one stopped and was watching.
"You may all continue the king and queen have urgent matters to attend to". Stephan said and the celebration continued.
"Let's go through the side door".he said as he held my shoulders, he smelled so nice.
Stephan opened the door. The passage was dark, and then lights came on.
"Follow me".nathan said as he removed his hands from my shoulder. I followed upstairs and then we entered a room. It was bigger than my room,it had a king-sized bed, a walk in closet, and a mini library.it was decorated with a lot of flowers and it had a balcony. It was his room,then I saw a picture of nathan and his wife.
"Your wife seems okay why did you get married again".I said as I removed his cloak.
"Stephan please wait outside".nathan said in disbelief
"What if she tries to harm you".stephan said while glaring at him. I threw my dagger at him ,it cut his arm.
"You have a weakling protecting you".I said.
"Why will you do that, something bad could have happened to him".nathan said in shock.
"Well I was just testing him".I said proudly.
"Who are you".Nathan said.
"I am princess araidne".I said.
"What you mean the princess ariadne".he said as he fell back.
"Greetings I have always wanted to meet you I am very sorry for my misconduct".stephan said as he knelt down.
"You may leave".I said and he left.
"You destroyed this dress,I mean who wears an armour underneath a ball gown".nathan said as he pushed the book shelf, there was a room. I followed him in and he closed the door.
"What's this do you run a boutique".I said as I looked around they were all sorts of women dresses,fabrics, stones, glitters and designs on the wall.
"It's my passion well you are in luck because I have just the right dress for you". Nathan said as he opened the closet.
"Don't tell me you spend all day making clothes".I said in disbelief.
"Yes I do".he said while checking the dresses.
"You must be joking don't tell you are not involved in the matters of the state".I said.
"People from different kingdoms come to buy my clothes, this will suit you because you aren't a proper lady".he said as he gave me the dress. It was indeed beautiful.
"Well thank you".I said.
"don't wear that armour underneath we are in battle".he said.
"I will wear my armour".I said defensively.
"Can you not be so stubborn".he said as he moved closer to me.
"Stay away from me".I said as I closed my eyes.
"You have very nice hair".he said while patting my hair. then I kicked his legs.
"You may leave".I said smiling.
"You are crazy".he said and left. I changed into the dress it was quite comfortable.
"My king".I said as I came out. he was sleeping on the bed, he looked so innocent. I sat beside him. I wanted to touch his face but he held hand.I felt sparks in stomach.
"Are you trying to take advantage of your husband".he smiling as he sat up.
"You are lunatic".I said.
"You really have no respect for me do you".he said as he let go of my hand.
"Am so sorry my king".I said mockingly.
"My king something bad has happened". Stephan said as he entered the room.
