"Welcome to my humble abode, it's no Senator's mansion but it's warm and cozy" she said raising her hands in the air.
"It feels like home" he said as he looked around.
"This is my younger sister, Rosa. Rosa, say hi to Dominic"
"Hi, Dominic" the unfamiliar face that opened the door for him waved.
"Hello Rosa" Dominic waved back.
"And this is my little brother, Jimmy. Jimmy, say hi to Dominic"
"Hi Dominic" the little boy waved to Dominic.
"Follow me" she said, and she took him to her room.
"This is my own getaway space " she said, closing the door after him.
"You have a nice house Isabelle" Dominic said as he looked round her room. He noticed the family photos she had hung round her mirror and noticed her mum wasn't in any of the pictures. He didn't want to ask any questions.
"So, uhm, about you coming to my room the other night " She paused and thought about what she was about to say.
"Never mind Dominic" she said, and, shaking her head in disagreement.
"Hey, it's okay. You know you can talk to me" he said reassuringly
"It's nothing really"
His shoulders dropped in defeat, his fingers scratching his head in confusion.
"I'll see you later Isabelle" he said and just when he turned to leave, she hugged him from behind.
"Don't go. Not yet, please" she pleaded. He turned around to face her.
"Isabelle, I don't want to go either but you confuse me"
Isabelle didn't want to talk about her ex, or anything like that. She pulled away from the hug and turned to face the window.
"You won't understand Dominic" she said, tearing up.
He slowly hugged her from behind, holding her waist, she didn't push him or slap him or yell this time.
"Then how about you help me understand? Hmm?" he said softly.
"What exactly won't I understand?" He asked.
"You think I won't understand that you were in some abusive relationship with that cunt from the mall" he asked. She gasped and turned to face him.
"Jameel told you, didn't he?"
"Isabelle you should've come to me first"
"I know I'm sorry. I'm so sorry Dominic, I just don't want to scare you away with how fucked up how my life is, Dominic I'm sorry" she said amidst tears.
"Shh, it's okay Isabelle" he hugged her tight and kissed her forehead.
"I'm sorry"
"Shhhh, you're with me now. I still have one question though, I hope you won't lie to me about this either"
"What is it?" she asked as he held her face and looked her in the eye.
"Have we met before? Before the interview?"
She turned to walk away from him, but he pulled her by the waist back into his arms.
"Why? Why do you deny it Isabelle?" he whispered in her ears, and she moaned softly.
"Dominic" she called softly.
"Why do you deny us what we had? Do you honestly mean to tell me you didn't miss it or think of it?" he said, nibbling softly in her ears.
"You didn't miss any of it? Not even once?" He said as his hands caressed her belly and gently squeezed her boobs. Making her moan softly. She held his hand, strengthening his grip on her boobs, his other hand slightly choking her neck with her ass leaned against him. He slid his hands into her shirt, her mammary glands
were warm.
He pulled away from the kiss, carried her and laid her on the bed.
"I missed all 50 shades of you, Isabelle.
Your lips, your body on mine" he said as he planted soft kisses from the belly button down. And just like that day, he buried his face in between her once again. Isabelle had to cover her mouth with her pillow as wriggled in pleasure.
"You're the first to make me know there's a feeling like that down there just with the tongue " she said as she lay in his arms.
"I'll make you see sex in a new light" he said as he stared at her.
"You know, I couldn't help but notice your Mum isn't in any of the family photos " Dominic pointed out as his fingertips gently brushed her skin.
"She's no longer part of this family"
"What happened?" Dominic asked, concerned. She got up from the bed and put on her sweatshirt and shorts.
"Get dressed" she told him.
"Have I done something wrong?" he asked.
"No. Just come with me" she said, and she took him to a room.
In it was her sick father, in his home hospitalized bed, he was asleep at the time they came. His monitor beeping slowly.
"He has cancer. When we found out, we placed him on chemo and all of a sudden, it kept getting worse"
"Isabelle I am so sorry I had to make you talk about this" Dominic apologized.
"It's fine Dominic. And that's when she left, she left him" she said pointing to her dad on the bed.
"She left me, she left them" she said, referring to her younger ones.
"And I've had to do all I could do to help with things at home, keep the family together you know" she said sniffling and wiping tears off her face.
"I had to leave nursing school, the money I was using for my tuition fees, I had to use for my dad, and I had to get a job to help my siblings"
"I guess that was when you met that asshole?" Dominic asked. "Yes" she said,
nodding her head affirmatively.
"I applied for a job and being the manager, he was able to get it for me"
"But at what cost?" He asked.
She remembered how Ryan drugged and tried to do the unspeakable to her and she burst out crying again, Dominic holding her in his arms.
"Isabelle, I want you to know you're safe now, I promise "
"I know. I know"
He wiped the tears away from her face and took her back to her room and they lay on the bed in each other's arms. It became his favorite thing to do, be a big baby in her arms. Later on that night Dominic went home.
"Benjamin" Dominic called for his dad when he got home. "Welcome Dominic, I assume you must be hungry"
"No actually, but thank you very much, I appreciate the offer. However, there's something I wish to ask of you"
"Oh. Whatever is the matter?"
"The dad of a friend of mine is battling cancer, and it seems to have gotten really, really bad. I was wondering if you could take charge of his case?"
Dominic had never really asked Benjamin for anything, so Benjamin knew this meant a big deal to him.
"Of course"
"Here's the address" he said, writing Isabelle's address on a piece of paper.
"Perhaps you and I could go there tomorrow at noon" Benjamin suggested.
"Sounds perfect. Thank you"
"You're welcome child."
Dominic went straight up to bed.
