Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 Three Years Without Meeting

Inside a luxurious suite at the Splendid Years Hotel, the Spencer and Han families were discussing the marriage between Maya Spencer and Liam Spencer.

Maya took a deep breath, her face not showing any happiness.

Three years ago, she had tried every way to leave this man, and now he was to be her husband. How ironic.

Sitting to her left, Liam, hearing her uneasy breathing, turned his head to glance at her. It was rare to see a different expression on her usually lazy face.

The corners of his mouth lifted slightly, as if smiling, but more of a sneer.

Maya's gaze didn't fall on Liam; she didn't see the displeasure caused by her small mood.

While she was lost in thought, a large hand suddenly slid slowly up her knee. Startled, she immediately tried to stop someone's teasing, but even with all her strength, she couldn't escape Liam's clutches. As he advanced closer, she quickly stood up from her chair to avoid his shamelessness.

Immediately, over a dozen pairs of eyes in the room simultaneously turned to her.

"Maya, do you have any objections to the wedding arrangements?" Old Master Spencer asked with a smile on his face, seemingly quite fond of her.

Hearing her grandfather's question, Maya swallowed and solemnly declared, "Grandpa, I want to marry Kinsley!"

As soon as she finished speaking, everyone was stunned, showing nothing but shock. After three years, she was still so reckless, still disregarding Liam.

Maya, seeing everyone's astonished expressions, felt rather pleased. She glanced at Liam out of the corner of her eye, then lifted her head and said nonchalantly, "Sorry, I need to go to the restroom!" With that, she pulled back her chair and left the room.

In the restroom, before she could catch her reflection in the mirror, someone grabbed her, and her back was slammed heavily against the cold wall. The overwhelming force of a kiss made her mind go blank.

With a domineering demeanor, Liam was coldly reminded by Maya, "Liam, aren't you in too much of a hurry? Whether I'm your wife or your sister-in-law hasn't been decided by Grandpa yet."

"Ha ha!" Maya was only met with two cold laughs.

The familiar laughter made her take a deep breath, a bad premonition rising in her heart.

She wanted to call for help, but heard a familiar voice from outside the door, "I'm sorry, miss, the restroom is under maintenance, please use another one." It was his assistant, Elijah Reed's voice.

Liam found the girl's reminder ridiculous. If he didn't nod, who would dare marry her?

So he asked, "Sister-in-law? Maya, do you think you have that chance?"

"Liam, let go of me." Maya had always been afraid of the man behind her.

"Maya, are you scared? Since you're afraid, who gave you the courage to abort my child?"

"You misunderstood, that wasn't your child."

"Shed no tears until you see the coffin, Maya. Since you dared to show up in front of me, you should know what you have to face!"

Her hands tightly clenched into fists, weakly propped against the wall, Maya's eyes full of hatred unknowingly turned red, but the tears kept spinning, never falling.

At this moment, the situation was almost exactly the same as that night three years ago, even the feeling of humiliation was the same.

---End of Main Text---

One quiet night three years ago, like she often did, Maya sneaked into Old Master Spencer's study while he was not at home. Using the light from her phone, she used the spare key to open his desk drawer and fished out the diary she had already read a third of.

She quickly took a few photos, and just as she was about to leave, her eyes were covered by a long scarf. The fabric was long, wrapping from her eyes to the back of her head, tying her hands behind her back. Her head was pressed against the desk.

Suddenly, Maya's legs went weak with fear. She didn't dare yell and could only whisper an explanation, "I was just looking at my mother's diary. I wasn't trying to do anything bad."
