Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Because Arlo Seys only ever lost to Ariel Morris in this lifetime

Dawn Sutherland's hand froze on the car door. Her eyes involuntarily glanced at Arlo Seys' Lamborghini sports car, which had crashed into the wall and had a somewhat deformed front. With a distant gaze, she said in a daze, "Because the invincible Arlo Seys, in this life, has only ever been defeated by Ariel Morris."

Nico Haynes' eyes followed Dawn Sutherland's gaze.

The front of the Lamborghini sports car had already caved in, deformed.

A sharp turn, then without reducing speed, it crashed straight into the wall.

Was it luck that made Arlo safe and sound?

Everything in the parking lot, he and Dawn saw it all clearly.

Since Arlo could turn in such a situation, why hadn't he slowed down to stop? Instead, the car speed increased, crashing into the wall?

Could it be that the usually unflappable and composed Arlo was so nervous that he mistook the accelerator for the brake?

If that's true...

In this game, Nico Haynes lost even before betting.

In these five years, he never heard Arlo mention Ariel Morris.

He and Dawn also never talked about the past in front of him.

But does that mean it never existed?

Back then, Arlo's affection for Ariel was incurable! Could Arlo really forget that past?

Nico Haynes stood there, lost in thought.

Dawn Sutherland got into the driver's seat by herself. She started the car and rolled down the window to shout at the dazed Nico Haynes: "Third Haynes, call someone to tow and repair Boss Seys' car. It's the weekend, and he needs it by Monday for work."

With that said, she stepped on the accelerator and sped away gracefully.

Nico Haynes, coming to his senses, jumped and cursed at Dawn Sutherland's departing figure.

...

...

Monday.

Morning.

Arlo Seys sat quietly at the dining table having breakfast.

Aunt Forest, the servant behind him, occasionally glanced outside, wanting to speak to Arlo Seys multiple times but stopped.

After Arlo Seys leisurely finished a bowl of porridge and another stick of fried dough, Aunt Forest couldn't help but finally speak, "Young master..."

"Hmm?" Arlo Seys didn't look back, just replied faintly as a sign of inquiry.

Aunt Forest hesitated for a moment, "It's raining heavily outside, young master, remember to bring an umbrella when you go out..."

"Uncle Glenn will arrange it." Such things were always diligently arranged by his dedicated driver, Uncle Glenn, what was with Aunt Forest today?

Having finished his meal, Arlo Seys stood up, intending to go to the company.

Aunt Forest handed Arlo Seys his coat, whispering, "Young Master, the weather is a bit chilly today, dress warmly. Once the spring rain starts, it won't stop for a few days, it's easy to catch a cold..." She spoke as her eyes darted outside again.

Arlo Seys put on his suit jacket and glanced at Aunt Forest, "What's outside?" Aunt Forest's words were more than usual, and her mind was evidently elsewhere, what's happening?

"A person!" Aunt Forest blurted out.

Arlo Seys' cold gaze flashed sharply, his voice deepening, "What person?"

Aunt Forest, intimidated by his gaze, said somewhat fearfully, "A girl… She was standing at the gate before it was even light out. When asked who she's looking for, she didn't say. It was just after five in the morning then, I didn't want to disturb you. I just checked, she's still standing with an umbrella at the gate." As Aunt Forest spoke, she cautiously observed Arlo Seys' expression. Seeing him tense, looking gloomy, she nervously asked in a very soft voice, "Young Master, do you… know her? It's raining heavily outside, and the weather's quite chilly..."

"I don't know her!"

Arlo Seys coldly spat out three words.

A girl...

Ariel Morris...

Ha, you're really persistent!

_

Arlo Seys sat in the backseat, looking at the latest financial magazine, but his thoughts were in turmoil.

It's raining heavily today, the weather's a bit chilly...

She was standing at the gate after five...

Aunt Forest's words kept replaying in Arlo Seys' mind.

After five...

Now, it's nearly nine, more than three hours have passed...

The heavy downpour outside showed no sign of stopping, the raindrops hitting the car windows. The 'pitter-patter' sound made Arlo Seys frustrated as he read the magazine.

He lifted his eyes, turned his head, and couldn't help but look out the car window.

The car drove out of the villa gates of Royal View City.

"Young Master..." Uncle Glenn suddenly called from the front seat, slowing down the car.
