Chapter 18 - The King's Command, Birth of the Null Blade

(Opening Scene: Kurozane sits upon the obsidian throne, the silent, bowing entities surrounding him, Eclipse coiled loyally at the base. The memory of the Shadowed Maw's menacing form flickers in his mind, fueling a burgeoning resolve.)

A sense of authority, still new and somewhat overwhelming, settled upon Kurozane. He was the king of this silent, powerful realm, a lineage he had never known. But the memory of his vulnerability in the mortal world, the terror of being hunted by the Shadowed Maw, lingered. He couldn't simply remain on this throne while threats existed in the world he had come from.

A desire to act, to protect himself and perhaps even exert his newfound power, began to solidify within him. He focused his thoughts, reaching back to the chilling darkness that resided within him, the same darkness that had brought him here.

He willed it to take form, to become something more than just an instinctual reaction or a means of escape. He was a king now, and a king needed a weapon, an extension of his will and his power.

He closed his eyes, picturing the void around him, the solidified darkness of the throne, the sharp edges of the obsidian. He imagined that darkness taking shape in his hand, a blade forged from the very essence of this realm.

A cold energy began to coalesce in his right hand, a swirling vortex of pure shadow. The air around it shimmered, and the silent entities seemed to stir slightly, their ancient awareness focused on this nascent manifestation.

Slowly, deliberately, the swirling darkness began to solidify. It elongated, sharpened, taking on the form of a sleek, obsidian blade. It wasn't ornate or embellished, but purely functional, radiating a palpable aura of cold power. The Null Blade had begun to take form, born from Kurozane's will and the very substance of the void.

He opened his eyes, gazing at the shadowy blade that now rested in his hand. It felt strangely familiar, an extension of himself. The cold energy pulsed gently, and the darkness of the blade seemed to absorb the faint light of the void.

Eclipse stirred at the base of the throne, its serpentine form uncoiling slightly, its indistinct gaze seemingly fixed on the newly formed weapon. A thought echoed in Kurozane's mind, a silent acknowledgment from his newfound companion. "A tool of the blood… forged in the source."

Kurozane rose from the throne, the Null Blade held firmly in his grasp. The silent entities remained watchful, their bowing forms now conveying a sense of anticipation. He looked at Eclipse, a silent understanding passing between them. It was time to act. The king of the void had a score to settle in the mortal realm.
