Chapter 5
Brandon's POV:
The activities of the day have been exhausting. I decided to end it by cooling off at one of my favourite clubs, 'Alegría'. There, I had control of what happened and could find release with one of the whores that worked there. Women were mere properties to me, and I wasn't designed to have feelings and emotions.
It was just pleasure without measure, and that was it. You could blame my style of living on being exposed to years of violence and bloodshed. Maybe I was damaged. Maybe I was a beast in the body of man. Just, maybe. That was why I didn't try at all in becoming better or act as if I could be better. I had no heart, and I was fine with that. The seasons that passed each time was for me to build more empires and spread fear into the hearts of my enemies. Once in a while, get laid and nothing else.
'Alegria', was more than just a club for me. It was where I ran my underground works from. On the frontline, it was a club. But, it was there for cleaning up my cash and providing protection for high-class citizens. I had the best-trained soldiers I had the best-trained soldiers ranging from; assassins, people that could make anything disappear from the phase of the earth and guards in charge of protecting those who needed it. 'Alegria' as a club, it was thriving so well. Elites from all walks of life visited. I made so much from it that among all my other businesses, it was one after my heart.
Simultaneously, I just liked to watch the people who enjoyed the place, not knowing that I could do whatever I wanted at any time. In the Mafia world, I was feared. While in the business world, I was a god. The mix of the sensual and erotic atmosphere due to people moving their bodies in the soft rhythm of the songs played by the DJ, got me to settle down in my private boot.
Gazing from one corner to the other, my eyes fell on two little girls who you could tell didn't belong here. They must have forged an ID card to gain access here. And even if they did, someone from the inside must have granted them entry because my club was top-notch. Entry and exit were highly difficult My attention was glued to one of the girls who looked so familiar was hungrily gulping down a glass of water she had gotten from the bar. When she finished and wiped her mouth with a napkin, she dropped the glass and looked up. Her eyes met mine. I couldn't take my eyes off her. I was trying so hard to remember where I saw or met here. I never forget a face in a hurry. Hers wasn't just registering. I needed to know her and where I had seen her.
Standing, I straightened my suit and walked to her, still holding her gaze. I walked leisurely. Calmly. Completely sure of myself and how intimidating I could be to everyone who saw me. I was flaming in all my glory and I knew it. And why not? She wasn't bad herself.
As I approached, I realized that she was a petite, slender girl. Features in all the right places and well-built. I don't know how old she was, but I was guessing she was still a teenager. A girl. I got next to her, and she froze. I could tell that she was out of breath.
"What's your name?" I asked softly. My voice was somehow hoarse and stern. Audible enough despite the noise.
"Hailey, she said quietly, looking up at me.
I was absolutely mesmerized, but I hid the reaction so well that she would never be able to read my expression.
I smiled. A sensational and room grabbing smile. "Hailey. Unique."
I didn't bother to introduce myself because everyone knew who I was.
"What is your name?" Well, except her. With the question she asked, she didn't know me.
"You can call me Brandon," I said and watched her lips. I have never been so enticed by a woman's mouth before.
"How old are you, Hailey?" I blurted out.
She blinked her long lashes, "twenty-two," she lied.
Anger blazing through me, "I hate being lied to. Tell me the truth," I ordered. If it was another person, I would have found a way to punish her for trying to toy with my intelligence.
"Almost eighteen," she mumbled.
I nodded in confirmation, just I had expected. She was too young and obviously inexperienced to be here. However, it showed that she wanted to have a good time. I will let her have that. How she afford anything in here? Unless, the men here were flocking around her, offering to take the tabs.
I raised my hand and touched her face, gently and slowly. My thumb caressed her lower lip, trying to get a total feel of it. I felt like I owned her and had the right to do with her as I liked.
She just stood in place, allowing me to do whatever. Her head followed in every direction that my thumb goes like a good submissive.
I took my time, possessively studying the pattern of those lips that I could subject to work wonders on me.
Perfect, like they were made for the sole purpose of pleasing me.
Drawing in a shaky breath, she moved back. "You don't have the right to touch me like that!" she barked as if she has been able to get free herself from my enchantment.
"Oh, little one, I have all the right." I simply said, not getting offended by her actions. I go for what I want, whenever and in whatever I feel like. No asking for permission, not pausing to see whosoever I am taking from wants to give or not. Just take.
"Go tell that to one of your little employees!" She glared. "I have to go, asshole!"
Her rudeness clicked in and I remembered. Beneath all that gorgeousness was the girl whom I despised the most. The little sassy brat that I would have crushed into a million pieces. She was the one. Again, being rude and too bold in my world? Interesting. She has just walked into her snare and has no idea.
Masking my fury, I gave her a slight nod and moved a few inches back. I made sure that my fave was bare, giving no information away.
With the shock on her face, she took the opportunity and stomped away, mixing with the crowd.
I knew I was letting her go, and I felt like revisiting that decision. Why not just grab her here and now and let her know who was the Lord of Texas. The most feared and dangerous man. I never play by the normal rule but for her, I had to find the most painful and cruel way to deal with her spirit, soul and body. I had to do it. No woman has ever spoken to me in Hailey's manner, not given me an attitude as she did. I have to put her in her place. Letting her know that she was nothing more than a property that any man could own.
'You might have been able to get away today, but, I promise you that the next time we meet, I will make sure that you are not just unable to look me in the eyes, you will crawl at my feet.' I promised her in my mind. I will make her forget the name Hailey and fear the least thing as where Brandon Nicholas Marshall was mentioned.
