Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: Spoils and Strategies

A Loa is an animal god worshipped by all troll races. It can also be said to be an animal that has cultivated itself into a spirit God.

According to Galen's memories from his previous life, there were more than a dozen Loa spirits, led by a semi-god-level demonic Tyrannosaurus Rex.

The spider god Shadra is the Loa animal worshipped by the Deadwood tribe. He is in charge of poisonous power. Every year, the Deadwood tribe collects a large number of sacrifices to please Shadra.

After the sacrifice, the Spider God will appear and bless the spider venom collected by the trolls to make their holy medicine. These holy medicines contain a trace of the Spider God's divine power, which enhances the user's combat effectiveness.

Witherbark trolls have relied on these potions to improve their combat effectiveness to fight against Stromgarde for many years. At the same time, the Trollbane royal family has also collected a lot of information about holy medicines and spider Loa.

The potion that the witch doctor drank earlier should be this kind of holy medicine.

Galen guessed correctly. The troll team they ambushed this time was one of the teams sent by the Deadwood Tribe to collect sacrifices, which is why there were so many spider venom sacs.

Although Galen cannot use these venom sacs himself, he has his own caravan and can transport them to Dalaran. The base will be a large consumer of resources in the future, and free loot cannot be wasted.

"Keep the spider venom sac and give it to the caravan when we return. Burn the troll's body and dispose of its head. These are my war achievements. I will ask my father for some benefits when we return to Stromgarde. Yours will be indispensable then. Prepare yourselves, and we will return to our original camp."

Galen let the two wounded men get into the baggage cart first. Galen and Varokar violently dismantled the camp tents and then gathered them around the bonfire. When Omar and the others brought the troll's body over, they set the entire camp on fire.

In fact, Galen could simply ignore the trolls' corpses. The next day, carnivorous birds of prey such as highland wolves and velociraptors would digest them.

But Galen had some plans to prepare after his return this time. This area of Stonefist Hall in the future generation had already been reserved by him, so it would be better to clean it up.

After returning to the previous camp where several baggage carts were stationed, Omar and Varokar decided to take turns standing guard before dawn while the remaining soldiers rested. Seeing that they had already arranged the rest of the matters, Galen didn't bother to pay more attention and returned to his tent.

After taking off his equipment and lying down on the blanket, Galen completely relaxed.

From the moment we discovered the troll footprints in the afternoon, to lurking and hiding, sneaking into the camp, until now that we have returned to the camp, this period of time felt so long, and my mind has been in a state of high concentration, which is more tiring than a day of training.

He narrowed his eyes and projected his mental perspective towards the location of the base. The Altar of Kings was still under construction and didn't even seem to be halfway completed.

The farmers chopping trees around the base were probably newly trained. They should have returned to the farm to rest after a day's work. Galen also saw six infantrymen patrolling around the base.

A rough estimate shows that the training time for an infantryman is 90 minutes, so it should be around two or three in the morning.

"Give orders to complete the training queue of the Town Hall and the barracks, and add some farms."

Then Galen closed his eyes and instantly fell into sleep mode.

When Galen woke up the next day, it was already bright. He walked out of the tent and saw that the sun was already high in the sky. It was probably almost noon.

Galen saw that Varokar was already roasting a whole velociraptor on the bonfire.

When Varokar saw Galen come out, he turned to him and said, "Your Highness, the barbecue is almost ready. I will wake you up in a moment. The water is ready and is next to your tent."

"I'll wash up first. Call them to eat together. I have something to announce later."

After saying that, Galen turned around, lifted the curtain, returned to the tent, and took out tooth powder and a homemade toothbrush.

After brushing his teeth and washing his face, Galen felt refreshed. This was a personal habit he developed in his previous life. Brushing his teeth and washing his face are essential, otherwise it would be inconvenient in the wild. Galen bathes every day.

Sitting by the bonfire, everyone was there. Galen woke up later and was the last to arrive.

Perceiving the aroma of roasted meat, Galen said to his guards, "We fought a good battle last night. After a fierce fight, we annihilated all the trolls."

He looked at everyone, especially the two men with bandaged arms, and continued, "You saved me last night, thank you very much. I regret my recklessness, but fortunately no brother died because of me. Next time, I will worry about my own safety. I will reward you well when we return to Stromgarde."

"Your Highness, this is our duty. You don't have to feel guilty. We are loyal to you and willing to give everything for you."

Hearing their words, Galen said nothing, but felt very moved in his heart. The lowest-ranking person in this group had followed him for more than four years, and the longest were Omar and Varokar, who had followed him since they were six years old.

Seeing that the roast was done, Varokar put seasonings on it, cut off the velociraptor's tenderloin and gave it to Galen, which was Galen's favorite part, and then everyone began to share the roasted raptor.

Galen smelled the aroma of the tenderloin, and his stomach began to rumble. He blew on it, took a small bite, and began to chew it in his mouth.

"After eating, let's pack our things and return. We will go north first, rest in the nearest town, and then return to Stromgarde."

This was what Galen wanted to announce. There were only eight people in his team, and two of them had broken arms. Although they had received simple treatment, this was no longer conducive to subsequent activities.

They annihilated a team of trolls last night. If there are other emergencies and they lack combat power, they will be in a passive position.

In addition to the loot obtained last night, there were also a large number of raw materials collected by his team before, totaling several carts, so the luggage was already a lot.

The reason for choosing a town instead of the nearest village is that only larger towns will have churches and resident priests.

So Galen decided to return to the control of the Stromgarde army. First, he needed to rest and find a priest to heal the two men with broken arms. Second, he wanted to sell some raw materials that were difficult to preserve.

"Your Highness, we are about a hundred kilometers away from the nearest Royal Avenue. If we set off soon, we should be able to reach the nearest town by night."

The one who answered was Varokar. This year, Galen asked him to make a map of the Arathi Highlands, and he knew the surroundings of the kingdom almost like the back of his hand.

"Very good, we are tired of hunting, let's set off when we finish eating."

Then everyone devoured the food.

Varokar had always thought that the prince came here to experience wilderness survival and hunting.

This was once the mining area of the kingdom, but it was later abandoned due to trolls.

Later, moving away from human habitation, it became a habitat for wild animals, with groups of velociraptors, packs of wolves, and herds of highland sheep and wild horses.

Galen explored the surrounding environment and terrain, running aimlessly in the highlands and forests, making his guards think it was his first time out and that he was curious about the outside world.

She never expected that her prince had already completed the construction of a base during this period, which would serve as the cornerstone for the future rise Stromgarde.
