Chapter 1 - King of Beggars

Transfer

The first thing that appeared before me was a massive wall made of black bricks.

It looked ancient, and in the middle of the wall was a beautiful wooden door —

Maple or oak, I couldn't tell, but it looked majestic and grand.

I walked toward the door quickly, and as soon as I reached it,

it opened on its own. When I looked inside,

I saw a desk, and behind it sat a giant with white hair and a thick beard.

When our eyes met, he raised his hand and pointed at me.

I approached until I stood before him.

He spoke in a hoarse voice and said,

"You have a chance to reincarnate into another world. Choose which world you want to go to."

I was shocked by what he said — many questions raced through my mind,

the most important one: Am I dead?

The giant spoke again,

"Your life is over, oh man."

I was a little stunned. Had he heard me or read my mind? It didn't matter.

He said I could reincarnate into a world. I thought for a bit, then asked,

"Can I get a system or something to help me?"

He looked at me, then showed me a book and said,

"This is a book containing what you want."

Then he asked, "Which world do you want to go to?"

I said, "The world of Game of Thrones," and added,

"Can I choose the world of the novels instead of the series?"

He answered with a nod.

Then I said, "I want to reincarnate in the world of the novel. But… are there any differences between the books and the series?"

He nodded again.

"There's no major difference — just the characters and some events that were erased in the series."

I asked him, "The Night King from the books, is his power like it was shown in the series?"

He replied, "No, but if you mean that if he dies, his followers will die with him, then yes — all those under his command will perish with him."

Then he said, "Choose what you want."

The book floated in the air and shrank to the size of a normal book.

I looked through it and saw many skills, systems, and even elements from anime and films.

Then I asked, "Is there a limit to what I can choose?"

He said, "Yes, and I advise you to choose wisely. Take your time."

I browsed through it and chose several skills.

He said, "You can't have all of them. You have 7,084 points."

I opened the book again and selected:

The Return System: if I die or get killed, I can return to one day earlier.

The Library Skill: lets me copy any book or scroll and has many features.

The Inventory: a good skill with expandable space that grows as needed, and I can shape and control it however I like.

I said, "These are the skills I've chosen."

The giant said, "You have 1,884 points left. Do you want more skills, or should I pick something for you?"

I thought about it. There were no more useful skills that I knew of. I said,

"Can you combine all the skills into a system?"

He said, "I'll do that and give you a gift."

Then he asked, "Whose body do you want to reincarnate into?"

Without hesitation, I said, "Viserys Targaryen."

He looked at me and asked, "Why?"

I replied, "I feel he didn't get his due. He could've inherited the Iron Throne.

He could've been a dragon rider, and I think he could've used blood magic or some kind of sorcery in the world of Game of Thrones or in Essos."

Then I thought to myself, Why is he asking this? Can't he read my mind?

The giant then said,

"Your system is complete, and I've added features. The gift is all the stories about the novels and the world, including fanfics and shows.

I've even included some books from your previous world. Explore them slowly.

Now go. And no, I can't read your mind or your memories."

I thought to myself, Go to hell, and then I fainted.

When I opened my eyes,

I found myself in a tent full of Dothraki. I recognized the scene from the show.

I cursed in my head — I get isekai'd and die immediately?!

I saw Drogo lifting the molten gold pot and lowering it onto my head.

I wanted to scream, but I couldn't.

I looked at Daenerys Targaryen — my dear sister — saying,

"Fire cannot kill a dragon."

And I thought, No wonder the original Viserys told her to go get fucked by 40,000 Dothraki and their horses.

Then I opened my eyes again and looked around.

No one was in the tent. I remembered the pain and that humiliating beginning.

Then I said,

"System."

A transparent screen appeared in front of me. I stood up, walked out of the tent, looked at the system,

then at the Dothraki. That's when I realized I was truly in another world.

I checked again to confirm that no one else could see the screen.

I looked at my stats:

Durability: 3/10

Speed: 5/10

Strength: 2/10

I focused, then tapped on "Durability."

Another screen appeared, displaying skills related to durability:

Bone Durability (Bone Hardness): 3/10

Muscle Durability (Muscle Coordination, Shape, and Toughness): 2/10

I went back to the main screen and saw the skills I had selected.

Then I looked at the bottom of the screen and saw the inherited skills:

Horse Riding: 6/10

Court Etiquette: 5/10

Short Sword: 4/10

Long Sword: 3/10

I asked myself, Is this really the great Viserys Targaryen — the Dragon Slayer, Heir to the Iron Throne, Lord of the Narrow Sea,

Master of the Stepstones, King of the Wall and Beyond, Lord of Winterfell, Storm King, Lord of Flea Bottom,

and all the titles I don't even know — and he only has four mostly useless, incomplete skills?!

That's when a massive headache hit me. I dropped to the ground, clutching my head.

After several minutes, I had regained all of Viserys Targaryen's memories.

I thought, No wonder Daenerys was happy when I died, after all the beatings, insults, and control over her life —

and everything else Viserys did to her.

After a while, I shook my head and thought, What now?

I decided to leave Vaes Dothrak and go learn magic in one of the Free Cities.

Then I said quietly, "System."

The interface opened. I closed it again and whispered, "System."

It opened once more. I wanted to test my skills.

I said, "Library."

Another system interface appeared, and I found myself in a small library.

There were no books at first, but then I looked around and saw a shelf with many books.

Above it, a counter showed the number of books: 3,500.

Books from Earth I hadn't read.

Then I saw another shelf with books and a television next to it.

I opened one of the books and started reading.

"If the Seven Kingdoms Were on Earth"

The total estimated area of the Seven Kingdoms is about 3,062,960 square miles (7,932,960 km²).

This would make it larger than Australia and smaller than Brazil.

If it were a real country, it would be the fifth-largest in the world by area.

Westeros (the entire continent):

George R.R. Martin states that Westeros stretches north to south about the same as South America.

South America is about 6.89 million square miles (17.85 million km²).

This includes lands beyond the Wall, which are roughly the size of Canada.

The Seven Kingdoms (south of the Wall) are about half that size.

Summary:

The Seven Kingdoms are roughly the size of Australia (a little larger).

Westeros as a whole is nearly the size of South America.

It's important to note that these are estimates based on the scale and information provided in A Song of Ice and Fire.

Exact interpretations may vary, but this gives a clear idea of the vastness of the lands in Earth terms.

There was detailed information about the world of A Song of Ice and Fire.

I closed the book, then saw the book Fire and Blood, and many other titles about Planetos —

like The Century of Blood, the Blackfyre Rebellions, and fan-written stories.

I browsed through some of them until I got bored,

then returned the books to the shelf. I thought about leaving,

and returned to my body.

That's how the Library skill works.

Next, I wanted to try the Inventory skill…
