Chapter 18 - Chapter 18 : Rojan the Pirate

After that incident, Rojan set sail using his father's ship, sailing across the vast ocean alone.

Rojan remembered everything that had happened to his father, his heart filled with sorrow and anger. He didn't know what to do, because all the soldiers and his father's men had perished in the war.

Polo and Delvi were planning to visit the palace, but they were shocked when they saw the palace in ruins and scorched from yesterday's nuclear explosion.

"Whaaa, what happened to the palace? Why is it suddenly destroyed? Where are Rojan, Captain Arial, and all the men?" said Polo.

"My prince Rojan, where could he have gone? Could there have been a war here?" Delvi added.

"This is bad—we must inform the locals, because there's no one left to lead this kingdom!" shouted Polo.

But when Polo and Delvi turned around, they found Captain Arial's corpse buried under charred debris. They were shocked to see his lifeless body.

They wrapped the body in cloth and called the villagers to bury Captain Arial that very day.

Everyone mourned the loss of their leader, though some were secretly glad, feeling freed from the tyranny that once ruled over their region.

Captain Arial was buried with honor by the mourning villagers. They placed flowers atop his coffin.

"My gut tells me that Rojan is still alive!" Polo said to his friend Delvi.

"I also believe that Rojan, my beloved, is still alive. One day, he will return to lead this kingdom again," Delvi replied, weeping in sorrow.

Once the mourning was over, everyone returned to their homes.

But just as Polo was about to leave the cemetery, he saw something shiny. He picked it up and discovered it was Captain Arial's necklace—a skull-shaped pendant he had never noticed before.

Upon closer inspection, the necklace had the word "Centaurus" engraved on it. Polo became curious about the necklace that Captain Arial always wore.

He tried putting it around his neck—and immediately, Polo's eyes turned black. He was possessed by a dark energy emanating from the necklace.

Suddenly, Polo saw memories of Captain Arial's past.

It showed Captain Arial, in his youth, sailing with Captain Alfonso, the legendary pirate. They had once landed on an island called Centaurus. There, they found an abundance of food.

They met the local tribes and villagers. As their ship's supplies were depleted, Captains Arial and Alfonso requested food in exchange for weapons to help defend the island. The tribal chief agreed to the trade and gave them food.

As a token of appreciation, the tribe gave them necklaces. But once they left the island, the necklaces turned into dark magic, influencing them to act cruelly and to conquer. That was how Captain Arial and Alfonso became tyrants and grew rich with resources and wealth—yet they were under the control of a dark power.

After seeing this vision, Polo's behavior changed—he grew cold. He tried to remove the necklace, but it wouldn't come off. Its dark power had bonded with him.

Polo had no choice but to keep wearing the necklace and returned home, now a changed man.

Meanwhile, Rojan arrived at the island called Centaurus—the same place his father had once visited. He disembarked and walked up to a hill where homes stood.

He tried to find someone and hoped to stay temporarily. After meeting a local, Rojan was invited into a home and asked about his origins.

"Where are you from, son?" asked the tribal chief.

"I'm from the land of Captain Arial. Our kingdom was destroyed by soldiers from the nation of Venice. I was the only one who survived, and I sailed to this island," Rojan replied.

"Oh, so you're Captain Arial's son. What a tragic fate. It's been a long time since I saw Captain Arial," said the elderly chief, who could no longer walk and sat on the porch.

"So my father came here before? What did he do here?" Rojan asked curiously.

"Your father came to get food supplies. His ship had run out, so we talked and got to know each other. Very well, you can stay here," said the chief.

"Thank you, sir," Rojan replied, shaking the chief's hand.

And so, Rojan began living on the island, adapting to their culture and even embracing their dark traditions just to survive.

He learned how to hunt, how to use dark magic and black arts from the chief. Rojan matured into a powerful young man with great magical abilities.

Several months passed, and the chief eventually died of old age. With the chief gone, the villagers chose Rojan as their new leader.

Rojan ruled the tribe with a strict and ruthless hand, and the villagers obeyed him, as they were already used to their dark customs and ways.

But Rojan began to remember his father's death. He started planning his revenge and gathered all the villagers to form an army to return to the palace. Everyone followed his command.

After many years on Centaurus Island, Rojan returned to his homeland, the palace.

He was shocked to see that Polo and Delvi had rebuilt the palace, and it now looked completely different.

"Oh, my brother Rojan, it's been so long!" said Polo.

"Oh, my beloved Rojan, I've waited for you so long. I knew you were still alive!" Delvi added.

They all embraced, and Rojan explained everything that had happened.

Rojan and the villagers declared him king once more, and the people of the palace followed his rule.
