Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Noble Steps

With the help of two Greek maids, Tepesh changed into the noble clothes prepared for him.

After putting them on, he felt only one word: tight.

The high-collared tight coat, paired with a body-hugging skinny trousers, was tight from top to bottom, and there was no comfort at all.

Of course, the color, material, and print of this dress were quite good.

The Republic of Florence produced royal blue mid-range silk, and the embroidery workers used light yellow silk threads to embroider beautiful lace on the cuffs and collar.

The value of this dress was at least one thousand deniers, enough for a family of three to live for a year.

Tepesh finally knew what it meant to pay for trouble, and the surface was far less comfortable than himself.

After adapting for a long time, Tepesh could not help but pull the tight trouser legs.

Finally, he put on the lambskin thin-soled shoes, put on the royal blue embroidered printed cloak, and walked out of the room carefully.

Why so careful? He was afraid that if he used too much force, his crotch would be torn.

Led by the Greek maid, Tsepesh came to the banquet hall. Viscount Muya in the hall looked at Tsepesh's steps and couldn't help but sigh.

"As expected of the noble Duke, he walks with such standard aristocratic steps. This kind of lotus step must be trained from childhood to walk out."

Listening to Viscount Muya's sigh, Tsepesh wanted to take off his lambskin soft shoes and beat him.

Damn aristocratic steps, I suspect that you aristocrats are afraid of embarrassment by pulling your crotch, and finally you have to give it the name of elegance.

While Tsepesh was complaining, a noble girl in a collared evening dress came over with her skirt lifted.

The collared evening dress was a benefit for men in the 15th century. The wide neckline showed the scenery of the hemisphere in front of people.

Tepesh had seen the noble girl who came to him. Her portrait was still hanging in his room.

"Your Highness, this is my daughter, Gina Pistor. Please forgive me if I am rude."

Viscount Muya had just finished introducing him when Braye entered the banquet hall from another door, still wearing his traditional Turkish costume.

Viscount Muya and his daughter immediately turned around and saluted Braye, and Tepesh also smiled at him politely.

"Beautiful lady and lady, and gentlemen, please take your seats."

Braye took the lead and sat at the top of the banquet table while speaking.

Tepesh, Viscount Muya, Viscountess Muya, and Gina sat in order according to their status.

Then, Braye rang the dinner bell a few times, and the neatly dressed old butler, accompanied by five maids, dragged a silver tray and walked in one after another.

It is not difficult to see that although Viscount Muya has a low title, his financial situation is very good.

The food he prepared was many times richer than that of the impoverished Baron Stent.

The old butler quickly brought the maid to put the sumptuous meal on the banquet table, and also prepared wine and barley beer.

Compared with wheat, oats and rye, the yield of barley is much lower, but in order to brew barley beer, many places in Europe still choose to grow barley.

In an era of food shortage, such a choice is enough to show people's dependence on beer at that time.

"Tepes, what do you think of this beautiful lady?"

Tepes was drinking beer and eating barbecue, and Braye suddenly said this.

Tepes, who was not mentally prepared, almost sprayed the beer in his mouth on the face of Viscount Muya opposite.

"Hahaha, Tepesh, don't be nervous. I didn't say I would marry this lady to you. She is already engaged to someone else.

Her fiancé is the eldest son of Count Sandria. We will pass by Nightingale Castle in a few days.

If something happens between you and this beautiful lady now, I'm afraid her fiancé will duel with you in a few days."

It seems that Braye is in a good mood and actually joked with Tepesh.

This is just a small episode, and Tepesh didn't take it to heart.

However, the next moment, he keenly noticed that Miss Gina's face had a subtle change.

Behind the beautiful smile, loss and unwillingness flashed by, but they did not escape Tepesh's eyes.

There must be a story here. Gina doesn't like the count's son. Is it like the story says that Gina has her own sweetheart?

Uh... Could this girl be in love with me? It's very likely.

Tepesh drank up the beer in the cup and imagined boldly in his mind. In the era without computers, televisions, and mobile phones, people could only entertain themselves in this way.

A group of people who had nothing to do after eating chatted for a while and then went back to their rooms to rest.

The next morning, Tepesh got up early, took a dagger and a round shield, and went to practice the skills that Litam taught him yesterday.

The training place was chosen in the small garden behind the manor. As a result, as soon as he arrived here, Tepesh saw a beautiful girl sitting on a stone bench in the garden and wiping tears.

It was Gina who was crying. She was no longer lively and cute, and her face was full of melancholy and hatred.

Tepesh saw Gina, and Gina naturally saw Tepesh. She immediately wiped her tears and wanted to trot back to the room.

"Miss Gina, what sad things have you encountered? Can you tell me?" Tepesh asked out of curiosity.

Gina slowed down her pace, obviously struggling whether to tell Tepesh the secret in her heart.

A little girl of sixteen or seventeen couldn't keep things in her heart, so Gina quickly decided to tell Tepesh about her worries.

The two sat on the stone bench together, Gina poured out her bitterness, and Tepesh satisfied his gossip.

It turned out that Count Sandria had two sons. Gina liked the second son of the Count, Arthur, but her father wanted to marry her to the eldest son of the Count, Ferco.

The name Arthur sounded familiar to Tepesh, but for a moment, he couldn't remember who it was.

Faced with such a bloody story, he was too lazy to think about it anymore, and continuing to listen to gossip was the serious matter.

"Does your father know that you don't like your fiancé?"

"Of course he knows, but Arthur, without the right to inherit the title, he won't marry me to Arthur."

"Does Arthur know that you like him? Does he have any ideas?"

"Arthur knows that I love him, and he loves me as well, but neither of us can do anything about this damn fate."

At first, Tepesh just wanted to listen to the fun, but as he listened, he tasted something in it.

The second son of the earl who has no right of inheritance, not only can't share the family property, but the beautiful girl he loves deeply will also be snatched away by his eldest brother.

This unlucky guy named Arthur has a hard life. If he can help him or give him some small promises, he is likely to become his younger brother like Daval.

Tepesh's mind raced, and he continued, "I will be at Nightingale Castle in a few days. I can bring a letter to Arthur for you, if you need it."

"Really? Thank you so much, Duke!

I will write the letter now, please be sure to hand it to Arthur in person.

I trust you, and I can tell you that I wrote the letter to ask Arthur to elope with me.

If you think it will cause trouble, please don't force it, I can understand."

"It's okay, Miss Gina, just give me the letter, I promise that I will definitely hand it to Arthur in person and won't let anyone know."

Tepesh gave Gina an affirmative look, but when the letter was delivered, he would give Arthur another choice, a better choice.
