Staring up at the body of the other girl as her body still remains stuck in the ceiling i get snapped out of my stupidity by what i just did when i hear foot steps running down the hall and i hear my older sister voice.
Casey: Being a few feet away from the batheroom that Sky said Cleo should be in i start to yell out her name "CLEO! CLEO! ARE YOU OK! ANSWER ME! CLEOlANI!"
As me, Liza, and Lili run towards it before going in to the batheroom seeing Cleo on the floor while she was looking at us. Before she glances up to the ceiling to see that the thing that was attacking her was embedded in to the ceiling.
Seeing that the thing that attacked me was still in the ceiling i look back towards my big sister and the other's, as they look back at me with surprise in their eye's. Before we heard over the phone "guys...guys did you get there yet? How is she? She didn't get hurt right? Guys answer me! What happened to Cleo."
Getting up as i had to pull myself up with the help of the sink as now my body feel weak as i grab the phone pulling it closer "Sky...i'm... i'm ok the other's just got here. I'm just a little startled from the encounter that's all."
Skylar: Hearing the shaky ness in her voice but knowing that she's ok, i let out an sigh of relief before turning to our parents "it's Cleo, as she says she's ok. As the other's had just reached her, she's just a little shaken is all."
Seeing them all collectively release sighs of relief as our parents shoulders finally relax Gahan walks over to me.
"Thats good but we really need to get out of here it's not safe. We're lucky it was just one instead of more, we need to get to the bridge before the army outpost it crowded with cars and families trying to get to the other side of the bridge."
Nodding my head as i had already put the phone on speaker so they could hear what he said i "did you guys hear what he said."
Looking at Liza, Casi, and Lili as they nod with Casi reaching for the phone handing it to her Lili runs over to me with tears leaving her eyes as she rests her head on my chest.
I lay my head on top her as i pat her head "it's ok...its ok big sister is fine, it's all over now we will go and rejoin the other's so that we can go somewhere that is safer." Feeling her nod her head as she sniffle i look up to see Liza standing just behind Lili as she has an smile on her face while she wipes away an stray tear.
Before having our gazes meet but when they do i saw her eyes widen in shock before she says"C-Cleo...your...your eye... one of them are an different c-color..." Hearing what she said i let go of Lily pushing her to Liza as i had stepped back, as Lili looks up at me as Casi turns to look at me with both of them releasing gasps of shock.
Looking in the mirror i see it again one of my eye's are purple which has the flash back of when i was washing my face go through my mind as i saw that one of my eye's where an different color.
Having me 'w-what...could of caused it i...i didn't encounter that thing back then and i... didn't get bit by that thing right? when i was trying to fight it off. So what...stoping when i remember back to when i was in the science club room.'
Before being able to think more about it i hear Lili speak softly "b-big...sister your hair...it's an different color as well." Looking at the others to see them also looking at my hair, i reach up towards my hair before twirling it over my shoulder to look at it.
As i face the mirror and there it is, my own reflection showing my blue and purple eyes as my hair that was once completely white as snow is now sharing it'self with an new color.
The top of my hair is black while the bottom half of my hair is it orginal beautiful snow white color. Hearing Liza call out to me as i hear her take a few steps towards me i step away from her saying "d...don't come near me...i don't want to hurt you...i...i don't even now if i'm still myself anymore, you...you... all should j...just leave without me. As i don't even know when i will turn or...if i'm still human."
As quiet falls over us we could hear the other's yelling over the speaker trying to get one of us to answer them. I just smile at Lili, Liza, and big sister as an tear leaves my eye "see the other's are worried you... should go now and make sure their ok...but can...can you give them an..."
Casey: Shouting "Bullshit" before she could finish i unclinch my fingers from around the phone dropping it, as i walk over to Cleo as she tries to back away. But i grab her arm and pull her into my embrace as she tries to push an pull herself away from me shouting "big sister let me go! I don't want to infect you as well! Let me go! PLEASE!"
As she starts hitting my back with her fists, holding her tighter "see look your still calling me big sister, your still trying to fight you way away from me. Your heart is still beating can't you feel your own heart beat, your even crying so do you really believe that i would see you any different than before. So what if you're hair and eyes have changed color no matter what you are my little sister and our Cleo."
Widening my eyes at what she said as my arms go limp and just let her hold me as i can no longer hold off the flood of tears that want to escape. Raising my hands grabbing the back of my sisters shirt the flood of tears are finally released, as i pull tightly against her. But making sure to not hurt her with my new found strength, that's when Liza and Lili had came to join the hug as they hugged me as well.
Elizabeth: With me and Lili joining the hug i softy "Casey is right Cleo don't think just because your appearance has changed or even if you start showing other signs of being different that you can get rid us. After all that just means that now you can take care of not only our families but also your girlfriend's.
As after all you did promise that ones me, Sky, and Sue, grew up you would marry us as we would go through everything even hell together."
Smiling after Liza had finished speaking i nod my head as i'd "mhhm" as i just snuggle into their embrace.
(At the front gate)
Standing in front of my parents and brother alongside Sky's, Liza's, and Sue's family i take an few steps foward as they look at my new appearance. As i could see the shock on not only my family face but also Sky's, Sue's, and Liza's parents faces.
Lowering my head as i bit my lower lip 'are they scared of me...do they no longer see me as the old me? I mean this is an big shock after all...will they still see me as family or the kid they knew.'
But before i could fall deeper in to my self- doubt i'm pulled in to an hug as i smell an all but familiar scent that could only belong to my big brother before i heard him speak.
Gahan:"Cleo...i'm glad you're safe, when i heard Casi and the other gasp i thought something terrible happened but we were able to hear some of what it was and as Casi said your still our Cleo and nothing can or will change that. Let's get in the cars and head towards the army base as you can explain what happen to you onces were in the cars."
Hugging my big brother back the tears start to leave my eyes as i stand on my tippy toes and place my chin on his shoulder as i wrap my arms around his neck pulling him closer as mom and dad also join the hug.
(In side the car)
As my dad drives towards the base with the other's following behind us in their cars me and mom had put our phones on the holder between the two front seats. So the other's could be part of the conversation. I ask "do you think that the army base will still let me in even...as the way i look now. As i'm not even sure if you could consider me...human and what're those things."
Nancy: Looking up after putting the phone down to look at my daughter for me to only widen my eyes to see that her appearance has gone back to normal i smile and say "well sweat heart for right now i don't think we will have to worry about that as it seems that your orginal appearance has come back."
