The detective stirred, his mind still disoriented from the strange shift in location. Opening his eyes, he was greeted by a breathtaking sight - a field of iridescent flowers stretching out in all directions, their petals glowing like stars in the night sky.
"Where.... am i?"
Rising his gaze, a magnificent figure loomed before him - a goddess of pure light, her form nearly too brilliant to behold. Her skin was pristine, and a halo of stardust adorned her head like a crown.
"Greetings, dear."
The detective stared at the heavenly figure before him, awe-struck by her presence.
"Uhm, hello.Who are you?"
The goddess, radiant in her celestial glow. Her eyes shimmering as a million of stars.
"Greetings, dear soul. I am Aurelia, the goddess of light incarnate. Pray, might I beseech your noble aid, O great detective."
"Would you humor my humble request?"
The goddess' radiant form seemed to exude a divine aura of wisdom and grace. Her very presence was almost too magnificent to behold, and the detective found himself struggling to comprehend the sheer magnitude of her power. Yet he managed to pull himself together, and the words came forth with a surprising ease.
"Absolutely, goddess."
"If i said no, i'll be screwed..."
The goddess, her celestial form aglow with a dazzling light, continued.
"Indeed, noble detective, the malevolent entity known as Achillous seeks to destroy countless worlds in his path and enslave them to his wicked will. To prevent this devastation, I hereby bestow my divine power upon you. With my aid, I trust you shall triumph over the dark forces and save all that is good."
"Should i do it?"
"What'll happened next if i make a contract with her?"
"There's no time think!"
"Yes, I'll do my best."
The goddess closed her eyes, her radiant form beginning to shimmer and grow translucent. Slowly, she turned into an aura of golden light, swirling around the detective in a mesmerizing dance.
As the light danced around him, the detective could feel the essence of the goddess seeping into his soul, filling his mind with an overwhelming surge of knowledge and power. He understood the purpose of his quest, the depth of his own being.
"Try to use light blow when you're in dangerous situation, dear."
The detective's eyes fluttered open, his head spinning as he tried to make sense of his surroundings. The world seemed to be in an upside down state, with buildings and trees hanging precariously from the sky. He found himself breathing heavily, as if his body had endured a great ordeal.
As he slowly stood up, he noticed the time machine lying broken on the ground. He picked up the device.
"It's broken...I need to find a way to leave this place.
As he ventured further along the ancient path, the detective's eyes, now tinged with a golden hue, took in the eerie surroundings. Red eyes, like those of otherworldly observers, were present on every wall, casting an oppressive atmosphere.
Yet, the detective remained calm and composed, thanks to his heightened "calmness" ability bestowed by the benevolent goddess. Despite the unsettling surroundings, he moved through the dark area with ease, his goddess-imbued golden eyes functioning as a guiding flashlight.
"Wait... i'm not really dreaming!"
"I actually got her abilities, that's unbelievable!"
As the detective approached a dead end, he was met by an even more ominous sight. The red eyes that had been watching him throughout the dark area were now multiplying, forming an unbreachable barrier upon the path ahead.
"Wait, what should i do here?"
"I can't turn back now..."
"Oh yes, i can use the 'Light Blow" she taught me."
"Here's goes nothing!" He extend his hand.
"Light Blow!"
"Wh- Light Blow!"
The light blow proved ineffectual against the unrelenting gaze of red eyes.He drew his revolver only to realize it was useless against the supernatural barrier. He tried to think of a way to activite his goddess-given power.Perhaps, he needed to closed his eyes and charge, he thought.
"Alright, let me use it again."
Unfortunately, his last tactic failed. In a fit of frustation, he extended his arms once again like a bird, expecting nothing to happen. But miraculously, within mere minutes, the element fired.
"Wait a minute- Does she expecting me to do that bird post to activite?"
"Well, atleast i had the power."
The detective stood there, marveling at the sight before him.
Where once stood a barricade of unyielding red eyes, there was now naught but a trail of slowly drifting dust..With the path now cleared, the detective cautiously stepped forward, his footsteps echoing against the stone walls. As he approached the enormous ancient door, he marveled at the intricate carvings etched into its surface, the markings telling tales of long-forgotten history.
The air was thick with tension, a palpable sense of danger lingering in the air. The detective's grip on his revolver tightened, his senses on high alert. With the door now open, the atmosphere inside was thick and hostile, a palpable aura seeming to emanate from the very stone itself. Within, stood a colossal statue atop a mighty stone horse, holding a gleaming blade that crackled with untold power."
As the colossal statue stirred from its eternal slumber, its fearsome horse rearing up beneath it, the blade it wielded now fused with the very flames of hell itself. The detective felt a tingle of anticipation run down his spine, but his face remained expressionless. He stood before the mighty statue, ready to face the challenge that lied ahead, his entire body coiled, ready to strike at a moment's notice.
"I have passed many foes before."
"But this one... well, good luck to me..."
The colossal statue unleashed a powerful swing, slicing through the air with its blade. The detective dodged just in time and quickly drew his revolver, but to his disbelief, the revolver did nothing against the colossus.
"Great, now i'm in a huge disadvantage."
The colossal statue's blade sliced through the air and sliced the detective's shoulder slightly. But he refused to back down, attempting to use the light blow, but the power refused to come out.
"How useless!"
The massive blade sliced through the surrounding columns, the detective narrowly dodging them. He took cover behind a pillar, frantically scanning for any weaknesses.
"Alright, i'll take a risk at those eyes.I don't have too much bullet."
Bang!
After shooting at the eye of the colossal statue, the attack slightly hurt it.
The colossal statue shook its head in pain, the loud sound echoing through the chamber. The detective's only job was to hit the colossal statue's remaining eye, but the constant movement of the mighty horse made it difficult. He aimed again, but the shot missed, the eye just out of reach.Gasping for air, hold on to his wound from blood leaking.
"This wound is kinda painful..."
"Damn it!"
"I have no choice but to approach!"
With the horse in constant motion, the detective had to get up close. He dashed towards the colossal statue and jumped onto its shoulder.
"We're gonna end here!"
Bang!
He fired the gun from point-blank range, the shot striking the remaining eye.
As the final shot hit the colossal statue's eye, a brilliant flash of light enveloped the chamber. The roar of the horse and the statue's bellowing were silenced, replaced by the sudden stillness of the room. When the light faded, the scene before the detective had completely changed.
Instead of the ancient chamber, he found himself enveloped in a strange, unfamiliar landscape. The air was heavy with a strange stillness, the kind that only comes after a great upheaval. The detective is still shaking from the adrenaline.
"A victorian era?"
"How did i even get here?"
"Something's not right...."
As the carriage whizzed by, the driver's yell broke through the heavy silence.
"Move it, you're on the street, son!"
Shaken from his stupor, the detective looked around, taking in the surroundings. The road was covered in a fine layer of dirt, and horses were the main mode of transportation, with carriages of various shapes and sizes passing through. Tall buildings loomed on both sides of the street, their intricate architectural designs catching the sunlight.
Feeling the wound heal slowly, the detective raised his hand to touch it. The pain was starting to fade, but something else was amiss – his time machine was missing.
He patted his pocket, expecting to feel its metallic frame, but there was nothing but empty fabric. He looked around frantically, searching for the time machine, but it was nowhere to be found.
"It seems like i'll be stuck here for awhile. The goddess' power should be the one that healed my wound. But, How did i get here?"
"I didn't use my machine.... maybe someone send me here."
The red eye, still following him.Watching him from the higher up.
"But most importantly, who's Achillous?"
