Chapter 7 - Episode: 07

On my second day back on the job, I heard my mother had shown up at my old school yesterday demanding to speak with me and was informed I no longer worked there. She didn't believe them and had to be escorted off school property. I figured something had happened due to the fact I had multiple missed calls from family members. I let everyone go to voicemail.

If I don't call you, then I don't want to be bothered is my current frame of mind. Besides, my job and my two new job leads have a free Google number to contact me regarding business as well as my attorney.

However, around lunchtime, I received a call from a prominent family attorney's law firm named Michael Ambruso in our city. His staff were demanding to have an address for me so that I could be served. They refused to shed light on what I was being served regarding. Therefore, I directed them to my attorney's office and informed them that all communication needed to go through them. Then, I asked them never to contact me directly, again. I hung up.

Afterward, I reached out to my attorney's office and scheduled a meeting for after work today. Unfortunately, my attorney, David Rosen, was in court when I called.

Nevertheless, they repeatedly called my phone under the impression that I was lying about having David Rosen as my attorney on record.

So, by the 20th call from Attorney Michael Ambruso's office that day, as I was walking to my car, I was livid. "Why do you people keep calling me? What part of this is now bordering on harassment and please only contact my attorney, David Rosen. Do not contact me further is so damn difficult. I heard Attorney Micheal Ambruso is Mexican and Italian. So, should I say it in Spanish and Italian? I do speak fluent Spanish, Latin, Italian and French. I am leaving my job right now and going straight to David Rosen's office. I will have him call over to address all of you idiots who have decided to harass me. Probably due to family members that if anyone of you had the slightest damn brain cells by now would have known I have restraining orders against them for very valid reasons."

"Are you finished? This is Attorney Micheal Ambruso and I know you are in an emotionally fragile place. I would really like to work with you to understand your point of view. Maybe we can meet here in my office, or I could meet you somewhere? Are you in a safe place right now?" asked the man on the phone.

On hearing his words, I lost it and cussed him out in Italian, Latin, Spanish and French. I demanded to know if he was in a damn safe place and if he got his damn law degree out of the cracker jack box.

I jumped into my car and drove an hour to my lawyer's office at 2:45 p.m. During the drive, I called my attorney, David Rosen and Claire. I had them both on speakerphone as I ranted about this latest harassment. By the time I walked into David Rosen's office, I was calmer.

"Come into my office. I have a lot we need to discuss. I just got off the phone with Attorney Michael Ambruso." stated Mr. Rosen as he escorted me quickly into his office and closed the door.

"So what is going on? Why was it so hard for them to comprehend to call you?" I asked as I took a seat in front of his desk.

"Because your mother, sister, aunt and uncle went into his law firm claiming that you have suffered a psychotic break these past few months and have been wandering the streets of Philadelphia homeless. Supposedly, you are a danger to yourself and others. You are no longer able to work or properly care for yourself. They requested assistance with obtaining a 48-hour hold in order to obtain guardianship of you." conveyed Mr. Rosen a little too calmly for me.

"You have got to be fucking kidding me? So now I am crazy, and they are trying to put me in the crazy house?" I demanded in disbelief.

"It seems so, however, after going over all the facts with him. He will no longer be handling their case. It seems they came in last week with a sob story and spoke with his rookie, new-hire attorney, Jake Ballard. He believed them and didn't bother to investigate their claims. He thought it would be a simple open and closed family law case that he wouldn't have to involve Attorney Michael Ambruso with. Until you provide them with a very memorable tongue-lashing in Latin, English, Spanish, Italian and French. Attorney Michael Ambruso is deeply sorry for any inconvenience that his office has caused you and would like to meet with you tomorrow after work to personally apologize on behalf of his law firm." replied Mr. Rosen confidently.

"Fine, but I think I want something else as well. Or am I in my right to file a complaint with the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania?" I probed.

"Yes! You are correct. The office of Disciplinary Counsel within the Disciplinary Board investigates complaints against attorneys for violations of the Rules of Professional Conduct, according to the Pennsylvania Disciplinary Board. But, this is something I would like to handle without contacting them, please. His rookie, newly-hired attorney, Jake Ballard, did mess up, but we have all been new to the game, so to say. No reason to have his first complaint so early in his career. What can I get you to let this go?" questioned Mr. Rosen.

"I am not sure, yet. Let me go home and think about what exactly I want to do moving forward. I will call you first thing in the morning. Maybe I am just over reacting and I don't want anything. Tell me what kind of law does, Michael Ambruso's firm handle." I asked calmly.

"They do a little bit of everything. Injury, family, divorce, medical malpractice, wrongful death, tax, criminal and real estate law. We pretty much do the same thing except I try not to get involved with tax law or real estate law. It hurts my brain cells too much. Why do you ask?" probed Mr. Rosen.

"No reason, just curious. Thanks again for everything. Can you make sure all cases regarding my sanity are dropped?" I asked as I stood up to go.

"Already done! I will look for your call in the morning on how to proceed." declared Mr. Rosen as he walked me to the door.

"Yes and thanks again for everything." I replied as I left his office. I quickly rushed to my hotel before I got caught in rush hour traffic.

Walking into my hotel room, I got a call from another cousin informing me that Keisha was bragging about getting a historic mansion in Chestnut Hill from Jared as a surprise late wedding/ baby shower present. Keisha couldn't wait to move into the historic mansion. She had found the deed in his office when she was snooping around. She even had the nerve to drive by and see it from the outside. It was on a dead-end street.

Unfortunately, she didn't want to draw too much attention to herself from the nosy neighbors for now. So she was unable to get out of her vehicle and walk around the property.

However, her plan is to demand that he renovate it and decorate it to her taste. Then, leave it to her as part of the divorce settlement. She would be the perfect wife until they have her baby shower when she turns seven months. Currently, she is only three and a half months along in her pregnancy.

I WILL BE DAMN IF SHE GETS MY DREAM HOME!! SHE CAN HAVE THE CHEATING ASS MAN!!
