Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

Chapter 6: Teacher, Teacher, My House is Quite Big!

After the conversation, Lyle learned that the girl in front of him was named Lilith.

She was famous for being a part-time queen in Ioufer.

With her meager salary from the Adventurer's Guild front desk, she could afford a small house in Ioufer.

Lyle expressed his admiration.

"By the way, do you know of any work around here?"

Lyle thought for a moment: "Something suitable for me."

Lilith froze for a second: "Are you really short on gold?"

"Not yet, but I will soon have no source of income."

Lyle smiled bitterly: "I don't want a part-time job, I just feel uneasy. I also need to consider buying a house, the property prices in Ioufer are quite terrifying."

Lilith found this completely baffling.

Someone like him, still trying to beg for a job?

But...

The work at the Adventurer's Guild was mainly divided into two aspects.

First, registering and updating adventurer guilds, registering their abilities.

Second, receiving commissions.

For example, the Adventurer's Tavern was looking for a level 4 brewer, so the guild would connect them.

In short, the Adventurer's Guild had a hold over the entire talent market in Ioufer.

They were the evil middlemen.

But in front of her was Lyle, a monster with seventeen maxed-out life skills!

If she could just cling to his leg!

She could become this month's performance champion!

And Lyle didn't even know his own worth.

He even thought he was about to beg on the street!

Happiness came too suddenly!

Lilith was so moved she almost cried.

I need to make enough for next month's mortgage!

She lightly cleared her throat, adjusted her clothes, and puffed out her small chest.

"For work, it's not easy to find something right now! I'll help you because I think you're likable. I can help you right now..."

"Stop."

Lyle raised his hand: "Why are you lying?"

"Huh... I..."

"When elves lie or get shy, their ears turn red."

Lyle pointed at her pinkish-pointed ears: "I don't think you're shy around me right now."

Damn!

He ran into an expert?

Lilith wiped the cold sweat from her forehead.

She flicked her ears, feeling a bit defeated as she sat down: "To be honest, with your skills, you should be looking higher."

"Looking higher?"

Lyle looked up at the ceiling.

"Mythical Adventure Group."

Lilith said seriously: "Scholars, mages, and priests, they're not lacking in anything. But someone like you, a maxed-out life adventurer, believe me, with just this parchment, your entry threshold would definitely be trampled on."

"Why? What use are life adventurers for dungeon raids?"

Lilith responded: "Why do you adventure?"

Lyle thought for a moment: "For dreams? I'm not sure."

At first, everyone adventured thinking they'd go deep into the dungeons and see those filled with fantastic and adventurous landscapes.

But the Moonlight Bloom changes everything.

He began to question that idea.

Shiya... seemed to want to defeat the Crystal Tears and join the Mythical Adventure Group.

It's like they were a bit mad.

"Ultimately, it's still about status, power, and money. Adventure is the fastest way to obtain material enjoyment—the best food, the most beautiful clothes, the most comfortable living spaces, and so on."

"So, essentially, they're servants?"

Lyle shook his head: "For now, I just want a normal job."

Speaking of which... he still couldn't let go of the idea.

He wanted to be a scholar...

"Then be my teacher?"

Lilith had the unique ice-blue eyes of the elves, her golden hair flowing gently over her shoulders, with large round glasses perched on her face.

Her waist twisted lightly, revealing soft white skin on either side, with an amazing softness.

Elven girls wearing glasses were incredibly alluring.

Ioufer didn't have racial conflicts or demon kings and heroes.

You could even see succubi walking around on the streets.

Everyone's goal was to climb the divine staircase—level 100 of the Iushgard Dungeon.

Lyle asked: "What's the benefit of being your teacher?"

"I'll give you the tuition fees."

"That's not what I mean."

Lilith's ears turned red as she fiddled with the hem of her skirt, a bit shy: "Well... I can occasionally play the teacher-student role, too..."

"Teachers tap the ruler on their palms, and students have to obediently kneel on the ground and stick out their bottoms... so naughty..."

But Lyle's response was:

"What are you thinking about?"

It's not like I'm being put to sleep, isn't it just taking advantage of me?

And then, Lyle once saw the journal of an adventurer.

He had an elven wife.

That pioneer wrote in the diary—

The elven race is very loyal.

They will only say "I love you" twice in their lifetime.

When they get married and when they die.

They make great wives.

But!!!

The elven XP is so complicated that it could fill several books.

Don't ever think you're getting the upper hand.

When you trick her into playing a hundred games of super lewd ones, feeling smug about it,

You're the one who's actually being played!!!

She might even make you secretly sleep with the neighbor's wife!!!

Lyle casually replied, "I'll talk about it when I have time."

But Lilith seemed to have already made up her mind to cling to him.

The elven girl began calling him "teacher" affectionately, spinning around him like a butterfly, almost sticking her butt out towards Lyle.

My mortgage... I'll squeeze it from you!

"Teacher, if you want to find a job, you need to package yourself first."

"Package?"

"Don't you need a nice outfit to apply for a job?"

Lyle looked down at his gray robe.

It was the standard outfit given to him by the Adventurers' Association when he became a scholar—[Scholar's Robe].

It was so unflattering.

But he didn't really care about that.

He was basically just a research nerd.

Lilith looked Lyle up and down.

With light-colored eyes, black hair, and a scholarly air, honestly, he was quite good-looking.

If he cleaned up a bit, he'd definitely be handsome.

"[The Scholar Who Was Exploited by a Bad Woman Suddenly Becomes Exceptionally Charismatic and Super Popular]"

Hiss… Lilith felt excited.

Changing a man who had potential but didn't know it seemed more fun than just a wardrobe change!

"Teacher, do you have a place to stay tonight?"

"Currently, I'm staying in a hotel."

Lyle shook his head. "Don't call me teacher."

A hotel, huh... Lilith's beautiful ice-blue eyes blinked. "As a student, it's only natural to offer housing to a teacher, right?"

"I told you, don't call me teacher!"

Lilith smiled mischievously, tidying up the table and then picking up her little bag.

"Let's go!"
