"Sophie," Elena said quietly, her eyes fixed on the small baby resting in Victor's arms. "Her name is Sophie."
Victor and Stella said the name together, almost at the same time. "Sophie…"
The room fell into a warm, peaceful silence as they both looked at Elena.
"My dad once told me," Elena said with a small smile, "that if he ever had another daughter—or a granddaughter—he'd name her Sophie."
Victor looked down at the baby and gently touched her tiny hand. "Sophie, huh? So your mama picked that name for you... I'm sure you'll grow up with her wisdom."
Stella laughed and leaned a little closer. "Wisdom? She already has her energy. So she's got the brains part handled."
They all laughed together.
Victor carefully gave the baby back to Elena. "Alright, ladies," he said, straightening his jacket. "The survey reports are ready."
Elena looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "Are you sure everyone took part in it?"
