His pov
I've always had everything I've wanted; money, women, cars, you name it. But after a while, I realized it all felt… hollow. The days blurred together in a haze of boredom, and I found myself going through the motions, seeking something that could shake me out of the hollow boredom I felt.
That's when I saw her.
A beautiful brunette with curly hair and golden-brown eyes. She had that perfect corporate look, sharp, confident, but with an air of mystery around her. But it wasn't just her looks that caught my attention. No, it was the way she had acted.
She was standing in front of her apartment, yelling at a raccoon that seems to have stolen something from her. I don't know why, but I found it incredibly cute. I couldn't look away.
She chased the raccoon and even climbed up a tree trying to catch it. She slipped from the tree and fell on her ass
"Ouch ! That damn raccoon " she cursed
I couldn't help but chuckle and she then turned towards my direction.
She caught me staring, but instead of smiling or even acknowledging me, she looked away, stood up from the ground and walked right past me, like I wasn't even there.
Now, I've never been the type of guy to be ignored. People notice me, they watch me, they admire me. But her? She just… dismissed me. And for the first time in a long time, that made me feel alive.
So, I did what any guy with too much money and a sense of entitlement would do. I bought the house next door to hers. I paid her old neighbors to move out. I made sure I was close to her, even if she had no idea who I was.
At first, I tried talking to her, getting her attention, but she didn't seem to care. And that… that's when the real game began.
Every night, I brought different women to my place. some I paid, some I didn't have to. I made sure they were loud enough for her to hear. The idea was simple: annoy her until she finally noticed me. And every night, she came to my door, yelling at me to keep it down.
It felt like a game, but it wasn't just about the noise. It was about her. The challenge of getting her to respond to me in a way no one else had.
But today was different. I had just finished with one of my usual "guests" when I realized something. there was no noise coming from her apartment. No complaints, no insults, no angry knocks on my door. I stared at the clock on top of my drawer.
She should be home by now.
Curiosity piqued, I decided to do something I hadn't planned. I stopped what I was doing, honestly, I wasn't enjoying it anyway. I grabbed a towel to wrap around my waist.
"Sorry excuse me, I'll be right back" I said to the lady on top of my bed
I left my apartment and went to hers
I knocked on her door.
I wasn't sure why. Why was I so obsessed with her? What made her so different? And most especially why I was knocking on her door right now?
She opened the door, and I saw her, disheveled from sleep, looking even more beautiful than I remembered. She gave me that annoyed look, the same one she always gave me.
"How can I help you?" she asked, her voice dripping with irritation.
I couldn't help but smile. "Good day, pretty neighbor. How are you today?"
She didn't acknowledge my greeting. Instead, she just stared at me, waiting for me to get to the point.
I hesitated. I didn't want to seem too eager, but my words just tumbled out before I could stop them.
"Can I borrow a condom?"
I regretted it the moment I said it. She looked just as shocked as I felt. What kind of question was that?
"A condom?" she asked, like she couldn't believe what I was saying.
"Yeah, a male condom. The transparent stuff made of latex that people use to have sex….You know what that is, right?" I teased, knowing it would annoy her even more.
Her response was simple and blunt. "Yes, I know what it is. And no, I don't have any."
I smiled, even though I knew I had crossed a line. But it didn't matter. Mission accomplished. I had gotten her to react.
"Okay, pretty neighbor. Thanks anyway ," I said, and she slammed the door in my face. I stood in front of her locked door and tried to knock again when I held myself.
What was I doing? I felt like a total moron. Obsessed with someone who doesn't even know my name and doesn't want to know my name.
I went back to my apartment a bit disappointed but feeling smug at the same time.I opened the bottom drawer close to my bed and took out a piece of condom from the pack I had and I resumed my business with the girl in my bed. but in my mind, I wasn't thinking about her. I was imagining it was the girl behind that door. My neighbor Ava. I don't know if it was love at first sight or something else but ever since the day I saw her, I couldn't take her off my mind, I knew deep down that I wanted her. All of her. I tried to concentrate on the girl on my bed but I kept seeing Ava instead.
She moaned loudly and her moan filled the entire room.
"Do u like that Ava" I said not even realizing.
"I'm ruby and yes I love it" she replied.
Her reply bought me back to my senses
"I'm sorry ruby, I'm glad u like it." I said with a forced smile
We continued throughout the night but most of the time, all that filled my mind was Ava. Her beautiful smile, her eyes, the way she talks when flustered. I couldn't help but keep thinking about her.
