Episode 25: The Sword's Origin and the Hidden Trial
A week had passed since the Weapon Ceremony, yet the academy still buzzed with the same question:
"Where did that sword come from?"
Aeron trained silently every day. The sealed sword remained strapped to his back, its energy calm, almost as if it was waiting. He hadn't spoken much, not even to Az.
But something strange had begun…
At night, when Aeron slept, the sword whispered to him. Not in words—but in emotions, in visions.
---
One Night
The dreamscape was misty, echoing with the distant sound of clashing swords.
Aeron stood in a circular chamber, floating stones spinning around him. A strange symbol glowed beneath his feet.
Suddenly, a voice echoed through the dream:
"Only those chosen by the Origin Flame may awaken my soul."
A giant spectral sword appeared in the sky, pointing at Aeron. Fire, shadows, and stars wrapped around its blade.
Then—
Boom!
He jolted awake, drenched in sweat. The sword beside him pulsed once, then went quiet.
---
Enter Az
Floating upside down from the ceiling, wearing sunglasses and holding a popcorn bucket:
Az:
"Well well well… someone triggered the Hidden Trial of the Sword.
Took ya long enough."
He looked at the readers, tilting his glasses down.
Az:
"You all thought it was just some cool blade, huh?
Plot twist—the sword is actually part of an ancient trial made by yours truly… kinda."
(He looks side to side and whispers)
"Okay fine, the author gave me permission. He said—and I quote—'Throw something OP at him, I'm bored.'
So I did."
---
Back in the Academy
Principal received a secret signal from the sword. A mark on his arm began to glow.
He opened a sealed scroll and gasped.
Principal:
"The trial… has begun."
He rushed to activate the secret chamber beneath the academy—the Trial Gate.
---
Later That Day…
Aeron was summoned.
The principal stood before the gate with a grim look.
Principal:
"Your sword… has awakened the Hidden Trial. You must pass it if you wish to wield its full power."
The gate opened.
Az:
(whispering to readers)
"Time for fire, pain, mysterious beasts, and…
well, maybe some emotional damage. Buckle up."
Aeron stepped forward.
The door closed behind him.
And the trial began.

Special Note (from Az):
> "Hey readers! Just so we're clear, this sword wasn't forged by gods or found in ancient ruins.
Nope. It was dropped straight from the Author's imagination into Aeron's hands. Because we were tired of swords that moaned all the time.
This one? It's a drama-free beast with unknown origins… just like your browser history.
See ya next episode!"
