Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 Alternative Flying Thunder God Technique

Naruto picked up the admission notice on the table and flipped through it. He found that there was less than a month left before he started school.

When Naruto thought about going to school, he couldn't help but recall the time in his previous life when he carried a backpack to school.

Unfortunately, this time around, he had no parents, so no one would send him off to school.

But it's not a big problem.

At least he still has a big fox!

"Is it finally time to become a Shinobi?"

"I'm starting to look forward to it!"

For the past six years, Naruto has maintained reasonable exercise every day.

A light jog for thirty minutes, some horse stances here and there…

In short, he tried every kind of training method he remembered from his past life.

However, he didn't dare to exercise too hard.

After all, he was only six years old. And he'd heard that overtraining at a young age could stunt your growth.

Unfortunately, in all these six years, he hadn't had any opportunity to come into contact with Chakra.

And because he was afraid that Sandaime would become suspicious, he didn't dare to ask either.

As for the fox in his belly...

Naruto believed he would know how to refine Chakra.

But the point is...

He couldn't just ask about it.

Even if the fox did know, there was no guarantee he'd be willing to teach him. He might just assume Naruto was trying to refine Chakra to suppress it, and that'd definitely send him into a rage.

Naruto always felt that the big fox inside him was like the big orange cat he raised in his previous life.

Except that the fox is not fat enough. As for his tsundere personality, it is exactly the same.

So for now, going to the Academy was Naruto's only chance at learning about Chakra.

Back in the kitchen, Naruto washed the dishes thoroughly.

He went to the closet and took out a set of black clothes to change into.

Naruto still maintains the same taste in clothing as in his previous life.

His wardrobe was basically just black and white, as the main focus is simplicity.

Looking at his reflection in the mirror, Naruto was noticeably different from how he looked in the original work.

To keep things practical, he'd always kept his hair short since he was a child, similar to his Nanadaime Hokage look.

And in terms of height, he was way taller than the original Naruto at this age.

If Naruto remembered right, he should be around the same age as Sasuke.

But in the original work, Sasuke had still been noticeably taller than Naruto.

He believed it's caused by long-term malnutrition.

And that was all thanks to that crusty old man.

'If I didn't have my own system and be able to eat meat, fish, milk and eggs every day…'

'And only relied on the little money that old bastard sends me every time...'

'I would have probably starved to death long ago, and my situation would be even worse than Naruto in the original work.'

Naruto glanced at the clock - 8:30 PM.

Nodding slightly, Naruto put on his mask and started today's after-meal exercise.

The streets of Konoha at night were silent and empty, with only the street lamps and moths flying around the lights to keep Naruto company.

Konoha wasn't like the cities from his old world, and there's no bustling nightlife or glowing neon signs.

After eight o'clock, pretty much everyone had already turned off their lights and gone to bed.

The only 'entertainment activity' at night is making little people.

Every time Naruto went out at this hour, he couldn't find a single soul.

And as for the whole rumor that he was the reincarnation of the Kyubi...

Because Naruto had barely been seen by any villagers over the years…

Most people had started to think the story was just a spooky tale to scare kids at home.

Nobody actually took it seriously anymore.

Nowadays, even if Naruto stood right in front of them, most villagers wouldn't recognize him as that 'kid from back then'.

The rumors about him had quietly faded into nothing.

After jogging for about half an hour, Naruto returned home, took a shower, and climbed into his bed.

And his consciousness also came to the sealed space.

As soon as he arrived, he saw Kurama sleeping with his front legs as a pillow.

Naruto walked over to the open space in front of the villa, measured out some distance, then pulled out a portal.

Kurama secretly opened his eyes a little, so it still looked like he was sleeping.

But he was definitely curious and wanted to see what kind of nonsense Naruto was getting into this time.

The moment the portal was pulled out, it instantly formed into a glowing purple cocoon on the ground, shimmering with a soft, radiant light.

Naruto stared at the portal in front of him and subconsciously swallowed his saliva.

After all, it was my first time using it, so naturally, he was a bit nervous.

But thinking that he was in the sealed space, and if something really happened, he would just be kicked out…

So, Naruto closed his eyes, gritted his teeth, and dived into the purple cocoon.

The next moment, at the edge of the golden wheat fields, a purple cocoon suddenly opened up, and Naruto's figure emerged from it.

"Yeah! It worked!"

Naruto jumped up and pumped his fists, looking very happy.

The moment he entered the portal, he'd imagined the edge of the wheat fields as his destination.

Which meant...

As long as he thinks about the place he wanted to go, he can use the portal to get there.

Wasn't that basically a kind of Space-Time Ninjutsu?

Because the first attempt was successful, Naruto gradually became bolder.

He began testing the limits of the portal.

In the cage, Kurama's eyes were wide with disbelief.

'What kind of weird ability does that brat have?'

In the sealed space, Naruto's figure kept blinking in and out of existence. Sometimes, he would appear by the river, and sometimes, he would appear by the orchard.

Every time the purple light flashed, Naruto would show up again.

Later on, just for fun, Naruto even tried teleporting into the air.

The moment he was teleported to the sky, another portal was thrown out, and then the cycle repeated again.

Naruto had basically invented mid-air teleport combos with his portals.

Kurama was so confused by what he saw.

'Although Namikaze Minato is really good at using Space-Time Ninjutsu...'

'But that purple cocoon thing was clearly some kind of item!'

'There wasn't even the slightest Chakra fluctuation...'

'How on earth is this even possible!?'

Kurama couldn't wrap his head around it, not even a little.

Naruto threw the portals about a hundred times and felt a little out of breath.

"I guess it's not completely free to use..."

Now, when he wanted to throw a portal again, the icon in the system showed it was on cooldown, and his head throbbed like it had been stabbed with needles.

He also found that the small blue bar below his experience bar was completely empty.

Judging by the cooldown timer, he figured he'd have to wait until tomorrow to use it again.

Feeling a little tired from playing, Naruto took out a piece of magic dragon's meat and slapped it on the grill.

This piece of meat is as big as a washbasin. Since it came from a creature in the magic world mod, the magic dragon's meat has the function of replenishing both mana and Spiritual Energy.

He grabbed a metal skewer, stuck it through the meat, lit the charcoal, and brought out the cumin, chili powder, and barbecue sauce.

In no time, the entire sealed space was filled with a mouth-watering aroma.

Kurama took a deep, indulgent sniff and seemed to hear his stomach growling.

He remembered how good that raw meat had been last time...

Kurama could feel himself practically drooling.

He stared at Naruto flipping the meat on the grill, and subconsciously opened his mouth wide, like he was ready to devour it the second it was done.

Finally, Kurama couldn't bear it anymore.

"Little brat...you..."

But feeling that it was a bit embarrassing to ask someone directly how much meat they had, Kurama changed the subject and asked about the portal just now.

"What on earth was that Space-Time Ninjutsu you just used?"
