Chapter 8 - Punishment

War of Embers Chapter: "The Day Two Crowns Fell"

The war had ended—not with treaties, but with thunder and blood.

The enemy kingdom's capital gates shattered, and King Karan Singh Rathore—adorned in his black-and-gold battle armor, cape torn from combat, blood still drying on his blade—marched into the palace of his enemy.

The halls that once rang with arrogance were now filled with echoes of fear. The enemy king was dragged by royal guards across the marble floor, bleeding, screaming, begging.

👑 In the Grand Court of the Fallen King

The remaining enemy nobles sat frozen, their legs trembling beneath silken robes. They had heard the stories—the rumors that one man had carved through thousands like a god of war.

Now they saw him with their own eyes.

💀 Enemy King (on knees, weeping):"Mercy… mercy, I beg you, Your Majesty. Spare me. I'll give everything. I'll serve you—"

Karan said nothing.

He stepped forward, unsheathing the royal double-edged sword, its golden engravings now stained with dark red.

A silence fell over the court.

The nobles held their breath.

🗡️ With a swift motion—SPLASH!The enemy king's head hit the floor and rolled to the feet of his advisors.

Gasps. Shrieks. Some nobles fainted. Others tried to crawl away.

👑 Karan (coldly):"This is the price of arrogance. Of scheming against my people."

He raised the sword again—not for battle, but for judgment.

One by one, the enemy nobles were dragged outside, and executed publicly. Their bodies were hung at the capital gates—as a message to all who'd ever think of betrayal again.

🧨 Meanwhile...

Dravid, sent to the neighboring kingdom, stood on the palace steps with a cold stare, as the defeated queen knelt before him.

👑 Dravid (calmly):"Your kingdom now belongs to the Empire. You may serve me—or fall beside your king."

The queen, shaken but enchanted, chose to live—offered herself to him, humbled by the strength he showed.

Kiel, silent and sharp as always, accepted the enemy princess as his bride, not for love—but for control. A necessary political move.

Lucy and Rika were offered palaces, gold, and authority over key regions in the annexed lands. Rewards for their brilliance, loyalty, and unshakable valor.

🎭 The Duality of the King

That night, back in the conquered palace, the Four sat together, drinking in silence.

None spoke of what happened in the throne room.None dared to.

But something had changed.

🔥 Dravid (low voice):"He is not just a king anymore… he's a symbol. A weapon. A warning."

🗡️ Kiel:"He did what no one else dared… and now the continent will bow."

But it was Lucy, looking out the palace window at the burning city below, who broke the silence with a soft, maddening smile.

💔 Lucy (to herself):"I will now tease him more. If he wants to kill me for it—let him.""But I love him so much, I can die for him."

She turned to Rika and whispered, almost giddy:

💕 Lucy:"He's not just my king… he's mine. A man like that… was made for me."

😤 Rika (snorting):"You'd lose your head just to impress him."

😏 Lucy:"If it means he'd hold it in his hands? Gladly."

They both shared a laugh—but beneath that, a mutual understanding. He wasn't just someone they followed. He was someone they feared, admired, loved… and would die for.

🐍 Back in the Homeland…

The rumors spread like wildfire:

"He cut the king's head off himself!"

"He slaughtered thousands alone!"

"He made nobles cry like infants!"

"He took two kingdoms in a single week!"

Every citizen, every noble, every trader and scholar now knew the truth—

⚠️ A monster rules this land. A man touched by gods. A King who burns everything that opposes him.

Some feared.Some worshipped.But all knew—

Karan Singh Rathore… was not just king.He was Empire.

Now, the entire continent sees the kingdom as a superpower—more powerful and richer than ever before. It is ruled by the Nine and a King who is seen as a god, a monster, and yet humble to his people. He has annexed two kingdoms, expanding the lands of his empire

 "The World Now Watches"

Months passed since the war, but the shockwaves never ceased. Across mountains, valleys, oceans, and deserts—rumors became fear, fear became prophecy.

The continent's seven nations, once smug with their borders and power, now stood in silence as they gazed upon the new map:

The Kingdom of Karan Singh Rathore☀️ Now three times its original size☀️ Spanning rivers, mountains, oceans, and plains☀️ With wealth surging like rivers from trade, mines, and annexed treasuries☀️ Ruled not by a man, but by a legend

🌍 The World Sees a Superpower

Scholars whispered in candlelit towers:

"This kingdom has entered a new age… no longer medieval—it feels futuristic."

Kings prayed behind locked doors:

"If he comes for us… who will stop him?"

Merchants and commoners across borders:

"Their gold is cleaner, their soldiers sharper, their roads straighter, their laws more just."

Even distant empires with no border to your lands started sending envoys—not to challenge you, but to learn from you.

They came in robes, armor, and silk, asking one question:

🕊️ "How does a single man and his Nine change the world?"

🏛️ The Empire Within

Inside the capital, life flourished like never before.

Massive markets flooded with goods from all annexed lands

Farmers given tools, seeds, irrigation—now exported wheat, rice, and fruits

Engineers built railways, steam ships, coal and diesel power centers

Gold-backed banks, run by Aryan, created the most stable currency on the continent

Schools and universities rose in every city

Science, medicine, and engineering reached heights never imagined

Former enemies now served as citizens, some even enlisted in the army

But above all stood the Nine, now called:

👑 The Circle of Power

Each one ruled a field, a region, or a force:

🕊️ The King's Image

And at the center of it all stood King Karan—a name that echoed across lands like thunder:

To his people:

He was the humble protector, who bowed to elders, helped children, and walked among the poor.

To the nobles:

He was the silent tyrant, a blade hiding behind a smile. One word from him could erase entire bloodlines.

To the world:

He was "God or Monster"—no one dared to decide.

He was never seen drunk, never seen laugh too much, never seen lose control. And those who saw him fight... never forgot the fear.

He was power wrapped in silence. Love hidden in a blade. Kindness wrapped in fury.

💬 Rumors From the Streets

🧓 "I heard he killed a king with a single swing."👩‍🌾 "My sister in the enemy capital said he rebuilt their hospitals after the war!"🧠 "They say his circle of nine are more powerful than any kingdom's council."🧙 "One of them—Lucy? She is Beauty a goddes."🕯️ "They say his eyes change when he's angry. Golden. Like a beast."
