The New maid pov :
"Hay Maria the person in that house must be dead. He has not taken his food for months. I think we should take a look."I said with a cheerful voice.

Dust rolled like fog over the threshold as two maids, wrapped in modest robes and carrying dim lanterns, stepped cautiously inside.
The moment they entered, the air shifted. Heavy. Cold. Wrong.
Their lanterns flickered violently as if something unseen were sucking the flame itself. And then they saw it.
Hovering above the cracked stone floor was an egg—but not one born of any beast.
It was massive, silent, and shimmering like glass. Inside, stars burned and galaxies spun. A nebula drifted near its surface like a cosmic breath. Time itself seemed to slow around it. The egg was a miniature universe, pulsing with unknowable power.
But worse were the three black, root-like tendrils wrapped around it—parasitic, twitching softly, pulsing like veins feeding on the egg's infinite energy. The roots weren't connected to anything. They simply existed, drinking from the void.
Then, one of them moved.
A soft, slow twitch—barely more than a ripple. But the elder maid screamed, dropping her lantern, which shattered with a sharp crack.
The younger's eyes widened, pale and glassy. "This—this ... it's alive…"
Both women turned and ran, skirts catching on debris, breath catching in their throats. Behind them, the door slammed shut on its own—quiet, decisive.
And somewhere in the deep silence of that room, the roots pulsed once more, as if amused.

"We are not dead, " I said. "What do you mean by dead?.Go back to your work."Said Maria.
