It had been seven years since I opened my eyes in this world.
I stood before a tall mirror and stared at my reflection. A blue-eyed boy with jet-black hair stared back at me — youthful but sharp, with a calmness in his gaze that didn't belong to a seven-year-old.
"System," I muttered.
A familiar sound echoed in my mind — and a translucent blue window materialized in front of me

I'd spent the earliest years using Mana Veins to passively increase my mana pool. Slowly, but steadily
My first real turning point came two years ago—on my fifth birthday.
----
The banquet hall shimmered with light as nobles raised toasts and servants moved with practiced grace. But once the celebration quieted down, I slipped away from the crowd and approached my parents — Vistin and Herta Morris.
"Father," I said, standing straight. "I want to learn magic."
The Duke raised a brow, clearly amused. My mother blinked in surprise.
"You just turned five," she said, her tone gentle but doubtful. "You can't even control your mana yet."
"I can."
The room fell silent for a moment. Then my father's expression shifted, becoming unreadable.
"…Show me."
I nodded, took a deep breath, and focused.
Mana gathered around my palm — warm and flickering — until a small glowing orb of energy hovered above my hand.
My mother gasped audibly. The glow danced in my palm, stable and unwavering.
"Most children can't even form a mana core until they're eight," Herta said, pulling me into her arms. "You're… a genius!"
I had gottem attached to this family. This warmth was something I didn't get to experience in my past life
Even the little baby in her arms smiled at me, almost as if proud too.
Layla. My little sister. Just ten months old then, but already attached to me like glue.
The Duke — usually quiet and reserved — looked at me with a rare expression of approval.
"You're granted access to the family library," he said with a faint smile. "Learn what you can."
"Thank you," I replied, trying to keep the joy from leaking into my voice.
From that moment on, my path was set. I devoured the library's contents — theory, spells, history. By six, I could cast Fireball, Use Aerogenesis and Heal without a chant. For my sixth birthday, my father gifted me my first movement spell — Flash Step.
------
— Present Age—
Today marked the beginning of something new.
Swordsmanship.
I wasn't planning to rely on magic alone. In this world, those who could wield both blade and spell were rare — and feared.
A soft knock sounded on my door.
"Young Master," a maid called. "Sir Aldven is waiting for you in the training grounds."
"I'm coming," I said, adjusting my collar and slipping the system window away with a thought.
