Chapter 2 - Daughter of the saint: Seraphina

Thousand years ago the world came to an end.. The god had left humanity due to their constent betrayal in the god.

The god, the prideful and petty god has punished all the living beings on the earth with a painful and petty curse. Boars had become monstrous beings, Even more dangerous then what they used to be before. With the curse over the animals also came the curse over the humans, One to five human were cursed with other worldly abilites.

When the humans realized they were "gifted" with magical abilites they thought they were being blessed, But soon the magic took over their mind and made them kill thousands and hunderds for people. The Humans that were not cursed had realized what the magical gifted people were actually cursed, The humans took it to their own hands to stop the mad people that were killing people by taking the lifes of all of the cursed humans as soon it is found that they are baring the curse.

The only acceptence to that rule was...

who was it..?

"Seraphina!" A voice called out to me, it sounded like an old woman's voice.. Raspy and rough like old people. She's probably about fifty something years old.. "Seraphina! I am calling to you!" Ah thats right, It's the priest that teaches the class about the history of the holy temple and the reason magic is bad. "Seraphina this is the last time I am calling you!"

I had snapped out of the trance I was deep in, "Yes your priestess?" I looked up at her with a smile. "Dear father... you are so diffrent from your mother.." She lifted a hand up to rub her temple in frustration It was clear she was upset at me, I need to do something before it ruins my reputation.. Your reputation could be ruined in just a wrong glance towards one of the priests in the temple. "I apologize priestess, I was not paying attention. I was thinking about how my mother, the saint Aveen was doing.." I looked down knowing that bringing up mother's name will change her attitude.

Just as I predicted she immidiately changed the way she spoke to me, "How is the saint doing? is she eating well? does she need any help in one way or the other?" She kept babbling on but I had long ago stopped listening. Due to this woman being a low ranked priestess that teaches children she could not approach my mother, Even so she assumes my mothers personality just by how she looks in public. Hence her comment about how diffrent I act from my mother, If we look at it from a real prespective my mother and I are the same.

If we were not my mother wouldn't have given birth to me at all, and the person who is known as Seraphina Oriana would not have existed. As I was thinking deeply a priest walked in "Seraphina Oriana, saint Aveen is requesting your attendence." Mother was requesting me, She probably feels lonely.. I need to go.

I stood up and answerd the brother "Yes, please tell saint Aveen that I will be there shortly." As I said that The priest nodded and left to inform mother, I turned to look at the priestess "I must go see my mother. I will see you in the next lecture." With that I left the lecture hall.
