Wake up, eat breakfast. Hours pass, eat lunch. Hours pass, eat dinner. Go to bed. Repeat. Same thing over and over again. This is life, the same thing over and over again. Rinse and repeat. Whether it's school or work, no one is exempt from this daily cycle; not even Michael.
Michael is your average 13 year old boy. Sheltered from the pain that comes with life, the pain of death. His family is in the middle class, and Michael has a standard style of living. Plain. Boring. Michael, over the years has grown bored. Bored of life. Nothing interesting happens. He has good grades, good attendance, good friends, good parents, good siblings, an all around good life. However, Michael's life is about to become so much more.
One night Michael is getting ready for bed. He had already said good night to his parents and is climbing into bed, he found himself drifting off to sleep. Suddenly he wakes up, he doesn't feel like himself. He feels detached. He gets up and opens his bed room door only to be greeted with blood stains everywhere much to his horror.
He checks on his parents and finds they are missing. Then he checks on his siblings and his two brothers are dead and his sister is missing. He runs to the main floor and right at the door are the broken bodies of his parents and his traumatized sister. He notices they seem to be frozen, as if time itself doesn't move here. Then he wakes up.
It was all a nightmare, that detached feeling was one of a dream, he was ok. His family was ok.
Michael gets up and walkes upstairs to get breakfast, he looks at the clock and notices it says 6:00 am. Michael had woken up before anyone else in his family. He quickly gets his bowl of cereal ready, he grabs a spoon and sits down to eat.
Contemplating on the horrific nightmare he just had.
