Chapter 1 - Swordsman?

In the South of the Crimson Phoenix Continent.

City of the Red Comet.

In a small courtyard, a beautiful young woman with black hair and red eyes lightly pushed open a wooden door, sending it swinging back, and then entered.

"Brother Yu, I want a massage."

She spoke directly, a little anxious, her eyes showing that she wanted it as soon as possible.

Ahead of her, Fang Yu, who had been sitting on a single bed reading a book, stopped his reading when he heard her voice and quickly looked toward the door.

"Why are you so anxious today? What happened?" He asked, raising his eyebrows slightly.

The young woman didn't answer, only walked closer. When she got near, she sat on his lap, resting her head against Fang Yu's neck.

She then looked up at him, with a look that said: Hurry?

Fang Yu, seeing this scene, didn't know what to think of this perverted little lamb. But in the end, he only smiled and continued reading his book.

Chu Ying, being ignored, pouted and then put Fang Yu's arms around her own body. "Let me see what you're reading… since you're ignoring me."

She wanted to know what was more important than her, and soon saw the content of the book.

Basic Sword Art Practice.

In this book, there were no words, only an illustration of a man practicing all the basic movements of a swordsman.

Slash, dodge, grip, block.

That was the basic line. After checking that, Chu Ying looked up again. "Do you want to be a swordsman?"

"Yes."

Fang Yu answered while engraving all the movements in his mind. At the same time, he closed his eyes, trying to understand the best way to practice.

Chu Ying, seeing the young man so focused, didn't interrupt his practice, just waited until he comprehended it. After she saw him open his eyelids, she finally spoke. "Did you understand anything?"

"The basics... But I'm not sure. I need a sword to see how far I've come." Fang Yu was also curious.

"Let's go outside." Chu Ying got up from Fang Yu's lap and headed towards the courtyard.

He followed her, wanting to see what the girl would do. Soon, the two of them arrived in the courtyard.

At that moment, the girl took a blue elastic band from her pocket and tied her hair back into a ponytail. Then she looked at Fang Yu and threw a metal sword, which seemed to appear from nowhere in her hand.

The object spun through the air. Seeing that, Fang Yu dodged to the side, and soon, a little distance from where he had been, the sword fell, making a dull sound.

After that scene, he stared ahead with wide eyes. 'How did this woman pull something out of nowhere? Does she have some kind of spatial treasure like me?'

He scratched his head a little but decided not to investigate further.

Everyone has secrets. Even him.

He walked over to the sword, picked it up from the ground, and inspected it. The blade was sixty centimeters long, made of iron. The hilt was black.

After checking it, he walked forward, approaching Chu Ying. "What are we going to do? Fight between us?"

"Yes! Fight me, I'll evaluate your skills. If you lose, you'll give me a good massage... I want you to use your divine fingers." Chu Ying didn't mince words, she said whatever came to her mind.

'This little lamb.' Fang Yu shook his head, finding it a bit funny. "Well, and what do I get? It can't be just you taking advantage, right?"

"You're right." Chu Ying nodded, placing her hand on her chin, thinking. After a moment, she lowered her hand. "If you win against me, I'll teach you the true sword art."

"True sword art?" Fang Yu was confused by those words.

"Win against me first. I'll evaluate you. Think of it as a turning point in your life, because once you know, you can't turn back."

'How dramatic.' He rolled his eyes and then said firmly: "Well, then I'll beat you!"

"I'm waiting. I also want you to beat me... Just kidding, I want your massage. I'm dying for it... Why are you so mean? Just fulfill this lady's wish." Chu Ying pouted.

'Lady? With that attitude?' Once again, Fang Yu felt his eyes roll. Then he grew serious. "Let's begin."

"Okay."

Chu Ying pulled another sword from somewhere. It was identical to the one in Fang Yu's hand.

With both holding their weapons, they stared at each other, each lost in their own thoughts. The place fell silent. All that could be heard was the sound of birds, and soon after, the wind.

A breeze made their hair flutter. After that little breeze, the battle began.

Chu Ying shot forward with incredible speed, soon reaching Fang Yu and slashing at his clothes, aiming for his shoulder.

Seeing the strike, Fang Yu placed his sword in front and blocked the first attack. He then counterattacked, aiming for the hilt of Chu Ying's sword, wanting to make her drop her weapon.

But unfortunately, before he could succeed, Chu Ying threw her sword into the air, then crouched down, leaning toward the ground, her head almost touching it. Then, with a swift movement, she stood up, grabbed her sword, and sliced downward.

Seeing the weapon coming with force and his sword bending, Fang Yu dodged in an unusual way, performing a jump and swinging his sword beneath his legs, using his fingers on the blade to propel himself upward.

The two swords collided with force. After the clash, both flew. Chu Ying's sword went up, and Fang Yu's fell to the ground.

Fang Yu retreated. He performed a backflip in the air and landed on the ground, his knees bent but not broken.

"Tie?" He asked, standing up and looking at Chu Ying, who was eyeing him strangely. He returned the look, thinking her dodge had been pretty abnormal too.

The moment lasted until Chu Ying broke the mood. "I must say, Brother Yu, you're abnormal. It's not even about your skills, but your mind. I never thought I'd see a swordsman use his sword like that."

"I'd say the same thing! Is your body made of jelly? How can you bend like that? Did you turn into an elastic woman?" Fang Yu retorted.

And then they both laughed. The mood between them relaxed a lot.

"Now that we're tied, what do we do?"

"Give me a massage first! I've been waiting for this since morning." Chu Ying was really eager for it.

"Okay." Fang Yu no longer refused the girl's wish.

"I love you, Brother Yu!" Chu Ying hugged him like a bear, wrapping her arms around his back while rubbing her face against his chest.

'What a spoiled little girl.'
