Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Skill and Dungeon.

The night came.

Jiang Yu was silently meditating to sense mana, a training he had gone through to have better control over mana, which was taught to him by big sister Sarah.

But soon, maybe due to the influence of his class skill [Mind Eye], he was able to completely visualise the entire flow of Mana inside and outside of his body.

While sight of that was truly enchanting. As if he was looking at a world filled with sparkling light blinking in the surrounding, though at that moment his eyes were completely shut off, but his other senses were working at the peak.

'If I can use this skill during combat. I will not have any kind of blind spot in my vision,' He mused. Though doing that could be rather harder than said, and he knew that he might need to train in it. After all, even the bot was not able to train two or more skills at the time.

'Maybe, I should train Mind Eye separately, and it might have application of using this skills, with other skills.' Jiang Yu mused.

When the door of the apartment opened. Walking inside was the lady in her twenties, with long black hair and a clean face, who looked completely out of a magazine in his previous world.

In reality, Jiang Yu's mother was much more beautiful at her peak life with his father. But after that old man's absence, a lot of burden was put on his mother. And Jiang Yu was well aware of this fact, but even then, she still looked quite young and good-looking.

"Welcome back, mom!" He came out of his room.

While his mother was taking off her bag.

"Did I wake you up?" A small, indulgent smile appeared on her tired face.

"Hmm! Not at all. I was just meditating when you came and heard you." Jiang Yu replied while going to the kitchen to heat up the food. As Mei Lian got back to her room to change her clothes and after washing her face, she came to the dining table for dinner.

"Thank you, sweetheart, but from today, pay attention to your sleep. You are now a hunter." She looked happy but still nagged like any mom would. Though, it only made Liang Yu grin.

"Sure!" He replied, not minding it that much.

"Just wait. In a month, I will make you leave that job." Saying that, Jiang Yu walked back to his room, leaving Mei Lian silent on her seat as she looked at Jiang Yu before shaking her head, thinking how it was going to be a bit difficult, but she still wanted to put faith in her son, who was already starting to grow up into a fine man.

'Don't rush it up, my boy. I can still wait'. She thought silently. After that, she started to wash her dish and all.

Next morning came.

Jiang Yu has woken up. Looking at the skill tab, he saw his cheat still working, with his Basic Swordsmanship skill mastery reaching level 3.

Though it ended up stopping at that, after all, with his physical limit, mastery of level 3 was the peak of the mastery he could get. 'Oh, physical skill needs a higher physique to work,' Jiang Yu thought. While thinking about it, he directly took out the skill that Sarah had given him.

[Host has acquired Mana Bullet.]

And with a tap, he collected the experience from the level 3 Basic Swordsmanship.

Essence of basic Swordsmanship came crashing in his mind. It was like he had fought several types of opponents with simple, basic swordsmanship skill, plus even though it looked simple, at its essence,.

The accumulative power of the skill looked perfect within the human limit, having no fancy move, but coordination, fluency, and most of all, accuracy of the skill were exceptionally high.

'Haah!' With a light breath out. Jiang Yu's whole being changed. It was as if looking at a trained swordsman, though only those with high combat experience or expertise in swordsmanship would be able to tell it apart.

'This is simply amazing.'

Thinking that. Jiang Yu directly put his Mana Bullet skill at the training tab now. After all, it was a really versatile skill.

Furthermore, he had not yet examined all of the class skills he had acquired because his class's single skill was already this deep; therefore, he was aware of his limitations and preferred to gain a thorough understanding of a single skill rather than learning about all of them.

Name: Jiang Yu

Class: Ancient Archive [Abyssal Rank]

Ideal Training Bot: 0

Physique: 1.8

Mana: 3

Strength: 1.7

Agility: 1.3

Spirit: 1.1

Training Skill: Mana Bullet [Level 0 (0/10)].

Class Skill:

Mind Eye [Level 0 (0/10)].

Aeon Archive [Max] [Entry Pass: 5].

Observation [Level 0 (0/10)].

Acquired Skill:

Basic Body Strengthening [Level 2 (20/500)].

Basic Swordsmanship [Level 3 (0/800)].

Mana Bullet [Level 0 (0/10)].

Although it came as a bit of a surprise. But at a later level of mastery of basic swordsmanship came the usage of Basic Body strengthening through Mana.

So, after getting to level 2 mastery, his training bot also ended up training Basic Body strengthening to level 2 mastery too. Thanks to that, his journey back to school ended up being very swift, though he made sure that no one saw him along the way.

After all, he would like to keep it secret as a trump card for the coming test. Since today, they all will be allowed to enter the training dungeon that opened almost all around the globe in every city and was the place from where players appeared.

On a later date, this specific dungeon with a lowest limit of having level 1 to level 10 monsters inside became a training ground for all young fledglings like them.

And the government also made cities around that kind of dungeon and opened schools around them. Especially Middle schools, which awaken young awakeners who have reached the age of 17.

"Student Jiang. Up early as usual." While entering the class, Jiang was surprised to see his class teacher already waiting there at his usual spot.

"Good morning, sir." Jiang Yu greeted politely.

"Here! Although it is a bit late. But seeing your Non-attribute class, it ended up taking a bit of time to get a skill for you." Old Han was a kind teacher. Jiang Yu had been a smart student, so he went on his way to get a good skill for Jiang from the principal and got one that might suit him and the coming test.

"Eh! Thank you, teacher." A bit surprised, Jiang took the skill. As he had been thinking that he might not get any skill after seeing that class he had awakened with, he never did think that they were just finding a better-suited skill for him.

Skill: Mana Deflection.

Description: Using the essence of Mana around the body part. Host can release a rush of mana to shield against physical and elemental attacks for a moment.

It was a great skill. Jiang Yu had seen a recorded awakener using this skill to shift the blade angle to dodge the attack from a silent knight of undead attack.

And it is said that with the right usage, one can use this skill to completely guard against multiple attacks of swords, arrows, or even magic hurled at you.

After all, the wave of mana released from this skill has a deflective property. Though, using it as a simple shield will only get one burnt from the coming magic.

'This is a great skill. I can definitely use it.' Jiang Yu thought. "Thank you, teacher. This skill will help me a lot in the coming test." Jiang Yu thanked politely.

"No need for it. It is something you earned. Also take a seat; others are coming." Old Han coughed awkwardly, feeling happy from inside.

"Yes, Sir!"

In no time the class was filled. Lin Xue was from the other class, so he usually met her after the class, though today Jiang Yu was feeling more confident.

After getting his class and that cheat-like system, he knew that in the future, he would be able to close the gap between the resources she would get from her family and would be able to stand beside her.

No! At this rate, he knew he would be able to surpass her.

So, dating her was not a pipe dream. But in his past, he suppressed those feelings because of a little bit of inferiority complex he had developed after seeing the difference between his father's skill at his prime and his mother's skill, which was like heaven and earth apart.

And now!

He had confidence.

He had an ancient class, although he didn't know what rank was abyssal, since he only knew from S rank to F rank class. But he had a feeling that his class was not below A rank for sure. While the possibility of it being above S+ rank was also high.

"Alright class! It's time."

Soon a referral teacher came running in. With a smile he clapped his hand, and the classroom teacher finally spoke out loud.

"Alright kids, it's time for the first adventure. And keep in mind. That you had been training for this moment for the last 4 years. Each of those hardships has already honed your body and mind for it, so all you have to do is believe in yourself and keep a calm and rational mind at all times." The classroom teacher, Old Han's pep talk, heightened the young boys and girls spirits quite a bit.

As they all stood from their seats and started to walk out. While Wei Yan turned to look at Jiang Cheng with a mocking smile, which did not go unnoticed by Jiang Yu. Still, not wanting to disturb his mindset and momentum, Jiang Yu completely ignored the guy and walked out of the class with quick feet, toward the dungeon entrance.

After five minutes of walking, they finally reached the centre. In the huge circular structure stood the students of 4 middle schools in this region. Each of them looked excited about their first entry to the dungeon.

In the middle of the whole structure was a giant pillar of light, which was the entrance of the dungeon, through which each class was walking inside one by one.

Jiang Yu got a watch from the reference teacher, who had already told them about the watch that has a time limit of 3 days, and within that day, they will be allowed to stay inside the dungeon and after that, they will be brought back.

There the test will come to an end. Plus, they can also end the exam by hunting the boss, though only those within the same team will be able to pass, or a single participant will pass if he or she soloed the boss.

'Here I come dungeon.'
