Chapter 2 - Outlier

As I ran the noise from my steps could be heard loud and clear but there was no stopping me.

I reached the church of truth there was no light emanating from inside but this place felt safe still while grasping for air swiftly I tilted my head the direction where the strange man had been. There was no sign of him as if my presence was of no importance my legs lost all there strength now kneeling down staring at the point of the church was a big bell I calmly said

"Gael is going to kill me"

But just then my fear had become reality a shiny light could be seen under my head sparks formed from light but my neck was hurting as if there was a torch against it.

"Not if I kill you first, boy"

The strange man had appeared but I could swear there was no sound of footsteps behind him then I noticed the man was missing hes lower body was this all a big nightmare the man appeared like a scorched paper burning away but this time the fire was creating the paper instead of burning the man was now back to normal,

"What's your name"

I stood in silence the fear was consuming me

"Fine."

Said the strange man

The idea of dying made me muster up all my will power with a low tone voice finally I said

"Ren"

The strange man dismissed he's sword and continued to stare down at me

"Look at me ren"

I leveled my head upward my eyes finally met the strange men he had angelic features to him he looked divine with golden eyes he had thought he's hair was also of the color but he was wrong ashen hair the tone of he's skin pale as if he were a dead man.

The man cleared he's throat then muttered

"Revenge created unstoppable monsters but hatred does not seem to hide inside you"

He continued to speak now with a clear voice so soothing and calm my fear seem to fade

"Orin was a great man but he betrayed me, the only thing he cared about was knowledge to think the man I once called father would have me killed"

So Orin orchestrated for this man to be killed still there nothing I can base what he's telling me to be truthful so silence was my choice

"You may go, I have no desire in killing a mere child"

The man took he's attention of me I could see a glimmer of sadness and lost

Then bravely I asked "What's you're name"

Behind that beautiful face the man had filled with no emotion responded

"Kane, the ruler of fire"

he said with a sadden voice
