Chapter 4 - Kaido! I Want to Challenge Bob

Everyone turned to look.

They saw a young man with an extremely robust build. His muscles were bulging, and he had a pair of horns on his head, while his messy black hair draped over his back. The entire person exuded an explosive sense of power.

He carried a spiked club on his shoulder, and his gaze was fixed intently on Bob within the squad.

Then, he swaggered to the center of the testing ground.

With a proud expression, he looked at the captain and said, "Captain, let me be the one to assess that kid named Bob!"

This was a golden opportunity, and he wasn't going to miss it. If he could defeat the genius who had just stolen the spotlight and was being fought over by the commanders, who would doubt who the real monster genius was?

"Hahaha! It seems you're quite interested in that kid!" Rocks shifted his gaze from Kaido to Bob, who had just looked away.

"Alright! Since you've volunteered, I declare that Bob will be assessed by you alone!"

As he spoke, Rocks activated his top-tier Observation Haki, locking onto Bob in the field.

He noticed an inexplicable aura emanating from him, a kind of energy he had never encountered before. This made Rocks frown involuntarily.

This person was indeed not simple. He agreed to Kaido's request without hesitation, as he also wanted to see Bob true strength.

Although Whitebeard praised him as a martial arts genius, he had never actually seen him in action. However, he was well aware of Kaido's strength. Among these apprentice crew members, Kaido was undoubtedly the strongest.

This time, Kaido's request would serve as a perfect test for Bob.

"Hey! Why is that?"

"Why does Bob get to be assessed by an apprentice crew member while we have to face the official crew?"

"Yeah, it's unfair! We're all newcomers, but he gets special treatment!"

"Hmph! There must be some shady deal going on here."

...

As soon as Rocks finished speaking, a wave of protests erupted from the crowd.

In their eyes, apprentice crew members were naturally much weaker than official crew members. If Bob could face an apprentice crew member, then his chances of passing would be significantly higher.

This situation was clearly unfair to those who had to undergo the official crew assessment.

At that moment in the crowd, several individuals who considered themselves strong even started taunting Kaido directly in front of him.

As for this scene, the official crew members all watched coldly.

Laughing inwardly, they thought about the apprentice crew members. These newcomers really didn't understand—Kaido's strength was such that even they wouldn't last more than a few moves against him. Facing him, every single one of them was destined to lose.

At this moment, Kaido stood in the field, looking at the newcomers who were taunting him. He didn't say a word. His body, which had been standing still, took a step forward.

Instantly, a large crater formed on the ground, with dirt and stones flying everywhere. His gaze was fixed intently on them. The pirates in the field immediately sensed something was wrong.

This feeling... it was as if they were being stared down by some primordial beast. Cold sweat poured down, and they immediately thought of retreating. But Kaido wasn't going to let them come and go as they pleased.

They would have to leave something behind, like their lives. Kaido's face was filled with ferocity as the massive spiked club swung toward the faces of these pirates.

Seeing this, those pirates indeed showed some strength. They reacted immediately, raising their long swords to block the incoming attack.

A loud clang resonated from the point where the weapons clashed, echoing with the sound's transmission. The bodies of the pirates flew out rapidly, and their heads exploded like smashed watermelons.

On the spot, aside from a pool of blood, only a few severely deformed long swords remained.

Seeing this scene, everyone couldn't help but gasp in shock.

The entire place fell silent.

Some who had opposed earlier immediately felt cold sweat pouring down. This... instant kill?

This was too strong! Was this for real? Was he really just an apprentice crew member?

"Hahaha! As expected, they were killed in one move."

"These newcomers who don't know their place need someone to teach them a good lesson."

"Look at those newcomers they're all scared stiff!"

"A bunch of idiots, really thinking Kaido is easy to bully! He's acknowledged as the top dog among our apprentice crew members his strength is terrifying!"

"Speaking of which, over the years, those who died at Kaido's hands, if not a thousand, must be at least eight hundred!"

"Hahaha! Quite a few with bounties over a hundred million."

"This Bob guy is really pitiful, being targeted by Kaido. It seems he won't live past today."

Those who had witnessed Kaido's strength immediately burst into laughter.

This kind of bloody scene was exactly what they wanted to see. What's the use of shouting so fiercely? As for Kaido, at this moment, he looked around at everyone with a smug expression, shouting loudly.

"Who else?"

This time, the newcomers were eerily quiet. Not a single person dared to make a sound, let alone voice any opposition.

Seeing their reactions, Kaido laughed heartily, noticing no one respond. He directly started calling names.

"That kid called Bob, how long are you going to hide?"

"Come up here!"

Hearing this, Bob stepped out from the crowd, slowly making his way to the center of the testing ground.

A faint smile appeared on his face as he thought to himself.

Kaido. The future Yonko, the strongest creature on earth, the captain of the Beast Pirates. He never thought Kaido would take the initiative to challenge him.

I wonder, what level has Kaido's strength reached now?

Bob couldn't help but feel a bit curious. But it's fine.

I've been training for two months, and I need someone to practice with. And if I beat Kaido up in front of so many people, it will surely be a black mark in his history when he becomes a Yonko! Seems quite interesting...

Thinking this, the smile on Bob face grew wider as he moved forward.

Bob had already reached the center of the testing ground.
