Chapter 1 - How It Ends.

"So this is how it all ended. After everything I've done for him, I gave him my everything, and yet he chose to pay me back this way." Gina sobbed, her shoulders trembling as she sniffed.

She stood alone on the cliff, ready to jump off the bridge in the middle of the night. The silent air brushed her cheeks as tears continuously rolled down her eyes. Her inky black hair followed the rhythm of the gentle breeze as the sound of the waters underneath the cliff tended to calm her soul, but Gina's soul was already set ablaze. The latter found out about her husband's scornful act. He used her just for her company shares, ditched her in the States after he was done with her, and left her without a passport or a visa.

Due to the weight of her heartbreak and not knowing how to return to her hometown, she decided to end her life. "It should all end here. I willingly put my life to an end." She whispered silently as the breeze responded to her every word.

She took an inch forward, shutting her eyes tightly as she was scared to look at what lay below her. The bottomless ocean she was about to drown in. To Gina, there was no use living in this world. Everything was all over, the man she loved, her company shares, her family, everything…

As the battle between her emotions was drawn, Gina finally made up her mind to quit stalling and put an end to her miserable life. "It's all over now." She kicked her luggage which was in front of her and decided to follow suit, but before she could take any step further, a strong arm pulled Gina's wrist, stopping her from her suicidal plans as he pulled her down the cliff.

"Just let me die, will you?" She asked, her brows twitching in disgust with her eyes failing to give sight.

The stranger's face was blunt, yielding every thought. He wondered why she'd take a drastic decision in the middle of the night. He stared at her void face, her eyes bringing forth tears even though they were closed. He noticed her trembling in his arms. The stranger had a mixed thought going through, a minute of doubt. 'Why do I care if she dies or not?' he thought to himself, and he let go of her, but to his surprise, she grabbed his sleeves, clutching onto them as if her life depended on him.

"Take me with you." She blurted out in tears. Gina leaned in and wiped her tears with his sleeves. "Please…" She begged, her voice shaky as she slowly opened her eyes to gaze at the blue-eyed man in front of her. "Take me with you, I'd do anything."

The blue-eyed stranger was taken aback by her sudden actions, the pain in her voice, and her pitiful look. He had the urge to push her away, to get her out of his sight immediately, but he couldn't help but be attracted to those weeping beautiful eyes of hers making him abort his urge.

With a sigh, he reached to his sleeve where Gina's grip tightened as he tried to remove her fingers from his arm.

"You helpless little one. We'd take you to a nearby hospitality ward." He spoke, his voice was calm as the gentle breeze, soothing to Gina's ears as for the moment she forgot about her problems.

Her grip on him tightens, making him flinch. "Sir, take me with you. I don't mind being your maid or anything. I just need a roof over my head." She was pleased continuously.

"You'll have a roof over your head at the hospitality ward."

Gina protested. "I need you. Just take my unending torture away. I beg of you."

Seeing that she wasn't ready to let go, he looked around, starting to get irritated and frustrated as he locked his gaze with his assistant who was waiting for him at the other end.

He regretted stopping her from committing suicide as that was the only way he wouldn't have been entangled with her problems. Adding her issue with his, he felt he'd go completely mad. A lot of thoughts went through his head as he signalled his assistant to come forward and be of help to him.

Exhaling, he took her in his arms and walked towards his car.

"Sir, what happened over there?" His assistant asked, as soon as he rushed towards him.

"Just get the car door."

His assistant bowed slightly and rushed to open the car door, while the blue-eyed man settled in the back seat of the black sleek Lamborghini with Gina in his arms. He didn't know where else he would take her to apart from his house. They aren't any workers since it was a holiday and the chances of the hotels being available were slim. The only available place was his house or the hospitality ward.

Adjusting his tie, he helped her settle on the seat beside him and her head fell on his neck immediately. The man was rather irritated than pleased. "How can she sleep comfortably in the car of a total stranger?"

"Sir, where are we headed?" Came the voice of his driver, disrupting his thoughts.

The hospitality ward wasn't an option at the moment and the only option he had left was his house…

"My house." He instructed the driver with a firm voice as he rolled his eyes in frustration. He took a glimpse of the helpless lass beside him, and he immediately looked away because her helplessness gave him an unusual heartache. He didn't know anything about her, her family, and why she wanted to end her life so badly. He figured she wanted even with a suitcase or her luggage.

"Sir, you have a meeting today at 8 am with the board of directors." His assistant informed us from the front seat.

"Do I have to go?"

"Your father wants you to, sir."

"Then cancel the meeting." He instructed without batting an eye as he turned his gaze back to Gina's face.

The blue-eyed man, however, was in a dire situation as he didn't have any plans at hand for the little lass that was peacefully resting on his shoulder. He then thought of making her pass the night at his place and at dawn he'd send her away, and she looked like a foreigner.

After what seemed like an eternity, they arrived at his mansion, he refused her assistant's help in carrying Gina and held her in his arms, as he headed straight to the spare room, and carefully placed her on the bed.

He glanced at her one more time and turned his back to leave but yet again, he felt her grip on his arms.

"Stay with me." She begged, her voice barely above a whisper. "Put an end to my unending pain."

Gina's face burned crimson, her swollen eyes widely open as the strands of her hair fell on her face.

The blue-eyed man was in shock as he froze for a while. He didn't have any intentions of staying close to her. "You're so pathetic." He kissed his teeth and turned to leave, but her voice halted him in his tracks.

"I'd do anything. Just don't go away."

He turned around, his eyes burning in lust but seeing how pathetic she looked made his heart clenched as he gazed at her with self-preservation.

"You begged for this after all."
