*Chloe's worst day ever *
Chloe woke up in an unfamiliar hotel room, her mind foggy. As she looked around, memories of the previous night remained elusive. She tried to recall, but her thoughts were shrouded in darkness.
Under the duvet, she discovered she was naked. Panic set in. The door to the hotel shower on room opened, and a stranger emerged, his hair wet and dripping with water. He wrapped a towel around his waist, and Chloe's eyes widened.
"Who are you?" Chloe demanded, her voice shaking. "What am I doing here?"
The stranger dressed hastily and sat on the sofa, ignoring her questions. More people entered the room, and Chloe recognized the voice of her mother-in-law Adrien mum
"Look, see your fiancée?" Adrien mum Sabrina sneered. "She's a whore, getting paid for her services."
Adrien's heart sank. Was it true? Was Chloe cheating on her?
"Is it true?" Adrien asked, her voice trembling.
"No it's not true, please believe me I don't know anything about it, baby please believe me" Chloe said through sobs with the duvet still covered around her fragile body
Adrien's anger boiled over. "I saw it with my own eyes! You're nothing but a prostitute!"
Chloe removed the duvet, her face etched with tears. "Explain yourself!" Adrien spat.
"I was framed," Chloe pleaded. "I don't know anything about this. Please believe me!"
Adrien's mother, Sabrina, intervened. "Enough of this drama! This woman is not worthy of you, Adrien. Laila is the one who's best for you."
Laila sauntered in, hooking her arm around Adrien's waist. "Don't worry, baby. I'll satisfy all your needs. Forget about this...whore."
Chloe's world crumbled. "Why are you doing this to me?" she sobbed.
Laila smirked. "You stole him from me first, but now I've got him back. Back off, Chloe."
As they left, Chloe collapsed onto the bed, tears streaming down her face. The stranger remained, watching her.
"You ruined my life," Chloe accused, her voice barely above a whisper.
The stranger stood up. "I didn't mean to. I drank too much."
He offered her money, but Chloe refused. "Well, I think you were framed," he said. "But I don't know how we ended up here."
Chloe replied with a defeated "Whatever."
The stranger exited the room, leaving Chloe alone.
Chloe was in her small apartment when her phone beeped, displaying a notification from Laila: a transfer of $100 million.
Chloe's memories flooded back. She drank whiskey to numb the pain, but it only fueled her despair.
