It is Saturday morning, which means the day for the princess to go round the mine and inspect the slaves as they work.
It is always a tiring day for her, but she has no choice. All part of the duties of being a princess.
" It is such a sunny day ",she exclaimed huffing out a sigh as she made her way to the mine together with Nina and the palace guards who were like several steps away from them.
" Yes my lady, that is why I brought along with me the umbrella, my lady cannot be exposed to such scorching sun", Nina said , immediately opening the umbrella and hold it up to her head.
All for being a princess.
" You should definitely hold it for the two of us, don't stay under the sun",
Nina wanted to oppose but a single glance from the princess made her clamp her mouth shut.
She immediately stood beside her and applied it for the both of them.
As they walked together towards the mine , other people round the palace could not help but look.
It isn't that that it was their first time witnessing such, but they just can't seems to believe it any time they sight such.
Everyone knows the princess for her generosity and humbleness, which is unlike most royalties.
The world made sure to clear the difference between royalties, nobles and servants.
Finally they arrived at the mine, and as usual several people were working tirelessly and endlessly under the sun. Not only men but women, some pregnant and some nursing mothers. Children as well could be seen working.
Princess Sabrina's gaze wandered around the mine and she couldn't help the bitter taste of guilt that seeped through her throat.
Here she is under the umbrella, eating good food and living the best life but these people are there not even having the freedom to live a free life.
All because of what? Because they were once an indigent of kingdom Zandia? Does that mean they should be tormented all their life?
This is definitely too much.
And it seems it isn't stopping anytime soon, because all child coming from each one of them is automatically a slave as well.
" Are you okay my lady?", Nina asked worriedly as she noticed the princess was so lost in thought.
She nodded " yes I'm fine. Lets walk.a bit more", she said and Nina nodded.
Taking a step, she stopped and faced her maid.
" Lower the umbrella Nina, I prefer walking under the sun", she said taking Nina by suprise.
" What?, my lady I ...", she wanted to oppose
" Do so Nina",she ordered.
As she spoke in a more ordering voice she need no one to tell her that her lady isn't joking.
" Yes my lady", she replied and stood to fold the umbrella while the princess walks more deeper into the mine.

As her fragile body could not take in any more of it, she decided to rest a bit before getting back to work.
Resting her buttocks on the hard hot rocks, she let out a tired huff.
"Arghhhh..", she groaned in pain as she felt surge of pain hammered all over her waist and joints.
Beads of sweats rolled down her forehead as she breath heavily, trying so much to catch her lost breath.
She felt the need to quench her thirst, but she couldn't. That is going to at noon, so hence they will be served their lunch and be given water , anything from that time is impossible.
They will all have to hold in their hunger and thirst till noon.
Out of nowhere, a figure appeared behind her. Raising her gaze to see who it was, she felt her heartbeat seized .
It is one of the guards who inspects their work, not just anyone of them but Derek.
The slave master.
The man has been nothing but a pain in the ass, he's just like the devil incarnate.
She shot up immediately, with her head bowed.
" I.. I…I I was….I'm so sorry sir, I j..just wanted to rest for awhile… believe me I was going to return back to work immediately ", she blabbed stuttering on her words.
Unaware, a slap came out of nowhere landing on her cheek.
The hard impact of the slap made her staggered and lost her balance.
He slapped her .
" You bitch ", he cursed at her gripping unto her hair tightly, pulling it hard and with force.
A savage look on his ugly face.
" Ahhjj ….", She wailed in pain, tears stung her eyes badly.
Her scalp burning her badly.
"I'm sorry",,she pleaded in tears .
But another hard slap made its way to her cheek again making her scream more in pain.
" You dare defy the order and dare rest bitch. You dirty lowly slave ", he roared yanking her hair harder.
" p.please ",she cried and pleaded in pain.
" I will have to teach you a lesson, so next time you won't dare defy the orders here , you dirty slave", he spat with venom kicking her so hard in the tummy.
She groaned in pain at the impact of his feet .
Not moved a bit, he dragged her by the hair to a not so crowded place .
" You lowlife,you dare disobey , uhn ", he yelled throwing kicks and punches not minding where it landed.
Not even minding her screams and cries.
After beating her to his satisfaction, he pulled her head up to look at him. Her face filled with tears and bloody cuts.
" I know what you want , and trust me I will definitely give it to you", he spat to her face and then he started to remove his lower garments and fondle with his underthings.
Coming to understand his gestures, her pleadings and cries increased in folds.
" No,no please I'm so sorry sir Derek, please,I beg you. I won't dare disobey again, please have mercy , please ", she sobbed and pleaded for mercy at the same time.
" Shut up, you lowly slave. You should have known better than dare disobey. ", He barked, still busy with his underthings.
" By the time I am done with you uhn, you will know your place ",
" And what is going on here? ", a voice boomed.
Annoyed that he was interrupted with his business, he turned his head angrily ready to yell.
What he saw and heard made him freeze.
" Ohh save me my lady, save me princess Sabrina ", the helpless slave sobbed, crawling towards the princess in tears
Embarrassingly, he quickly arranged back his garment and underthings.
" Ohh, princess. What are you doing here?", He asked flustered at the position he was earlier.
" Oh oh , you dare speak to the princess like that", Nina scolded.
Immediately he bowed his head in apology.
The princess held her hand to Nina, gesturing to her to stop.
" I said what is going on here?", She asked again in a calm but authoritative voice.
" Forgive me princess, but it is this lowly slave that kept on idling around so I decided to discipline her ", he said, stepping on the lady's toes intentionally.
The princess closed the distance between them and what followed next was her throwing a slap to his face.
He was surprised and as he made to talk another slap kissed his cheek.
" Lowly slave you say? ", She scoffed
" My lady,I….."
" If you dare open that filthy mouth again, I will definitely make you regret it. ", She spoke too calm for someone who was burning with anger.
" Get on your knees ", she ordered taking him by suprise yet again.
" Now!",, She ordered, her voice firm and full with undeniable authority.
The next seconds he was on his knees, head bowed down ashamedly.
" You dare manhandled a lady? Beat and Harass her? How dare you", she spoke feeling the urge to slap his filthy face again but restrained herself.
" Believe me princess, I wasn't doing anything bad, I was….",
" Shut your mouth! ", She yelled at him for the first time.
Princess Sabrina turned to Nina," Take the girl to the palace clinic now Nina ", she ordered her .
" Yes my lady ", she bowed and waste no time in supporting the lady out of there.
" What is the name?"
" Derek, your highness", he replied his head still bowed to the ground.
" Mark my words Derek,. You will pay for this",she said lastly and without a second glance she walked away regally.
" Your highness,I am really...arghhhh ", he yelled on seeing she was gone already.
What is going to happen to him now?
It is all that slave's fault.
" That stupid bitch",he cursed angrily, getting on his toes.
Almost immediately and from nowhere, two palace guards arrived .
" Hey. What are you doing?",he yelled as they grab unto his arm and manhandled him out of the palace.
He is definitely in for it .
