Chapter 2 - chapter 2

Sarah ran as fast as she could towards the cabin, in fear of what may be of her sister and herself. As she ran she tripped on a root and sprained her ankle she began to limb all the way to the cabin. She was still puzzled about how that boy heard her and how that girl, Cacy snaked up on her without making a single noise. And most of all why would Marcus want to kill her and her sister. They have never offended anyone but maybe it's their biological parents who have offended them. Maybe that's why they want to kill her and her sister. They might want to exact revenge on them. As Sarah was limping to the cabin Samantha was still asleep.

People are usually able to guess what Samantha is dreaming about because she dreams about the same thing but with twists in every dream.

She usually dreams about herself being in a beautiful meadow filled with bright yellow flowers. In each dream she would always find a different person and would always strike a conversation. She calls this place her very own happy place where she can relax and be herself. But this dream was a rather odd dream.

Instead of the meadow being filled with bright yellow flowers it was filled with dark Thorny purple flowers. As she looked around in shock and confusion she noticed that there was one bright yellow flower. She walked towards it and knelt beside it. She picked it up and put in her hair.

When she was kneeling on the ground wondering why her dream was like this she felt a cold hand on her shoulder. She froze with fear not knowing what to do. Then she heard a voice from behind her, "What's your name? Are you scared? Please say something." Samantha looked back with fear in her eyes. She saw a Young girl about her age. She had dark hair, dark purple eyes and had an odd smile on her face.

Samantha then tried to speak but you could still hear the fear in her voice. "Who are you?" She asked. The young girl then looked at her with confusion and closed her eyes and said "I asked you first, whats your name?" The young girl asked. Samantha closed her fist tightly and answered "Samantha, my name is Samantha." The young girls smile widened and so did her eyes.

"My name is, Penelope." The young girl said sweetly.

"Where are we?" Asked Samantha.

"This is my happy place." Penelope answered with a big smile. "This is where I relax and be myself."

"That kind of sounds like my happy place." Said Samantha.

Then Penelope's smile then turned to a rather alarming one, she also began to twitch her eye as if it was itchy. She then pulled out the bright yellow flower from Samantha's hair. She looked at it then put it back on her hair.

Penelope then held Samantha's hand. Penelope's hand was as cold as placing your hand in cold water. Penelope than asked Samantha a, " I need you to help me with something."

"What do you want?"

"In the forest there is a cabin. This cabin is where I was left alone for a while. In this cabin there is a dairy that used to belong to my cousin, please get it for me." Samantha was about to reply until everything went dark. She then heard a faint voice calling out her name. She then realized that her eyes were closed. She opened them and saw a blurry image. When she tried to focus she began to see and hear clearly. The person she saw and heard was her sister Sarah.

"Sarah, what happened where we are? Where's Miti" asked Samantha in a worried tone.

"I'll explain later just follow me." Said Sarah.

Samantha got up from the couch she was on. The two sisters began to make a run for it. But unfortunately Sarah's sprained ankle was slowing them down. Samantha then stopped when Sarah noticed, she was annoyed by Samantha not running.

"What's wrong? Why aren't you not running?" Sarah asked with anger burning in her eyes.

"How did you injure yourself? Haven't you even noticed that you're limping? Why are we running, where are we and where's Miti?" Samantha asked with rage. But the anger that was burning in Sarah's eyes only burned even more.

"We have to find a place safe for us. If you want to know everything I'll gladly tell you but not now. We have to keep moving." The authority in Sarah's voice was more authoritative than it was a long time ago. Samantha, hearing that voice of authority had no choice but to abide by it. The two kept running and running till they found a small burnt down cabin they got inside and sat on the floor.

"Let me see your leg." Asked Samantha. Sarah showed Samantha her sprained angle. Samantha looked at it closely. She then looked for anything she could use to treat it. She then saw some cabinets. She opened them and saw a first aid kit. She then went to Sarah and knelt beside her and opened the box. When she opened it she saw: a razorblade, painkillers, empty syringe, Band-Aids and a weird orange gel she believed to be ointment.

She took the ointment and rubbed it on Sarah's ankle. She then wrapped a Band-Aid on Sarah's ankle.

Samantha then stood up and said. "How is your ankle now?"

Sarah then stood up and tried to move around a bit.

"It burns a little but I can walk now. Thanks a lot sis." Said Sarah.

"Don't mention it." Samantha replied. "Now you can tell me what happened."

Sarah told Samantha everything that had happened leaving no details behind. When Samantha heard all of this she was frozen with fear. And with the thought of Miti passing on was too much. Samantha then closed her eyes took a deep breath and looked at Sarah.

"Did you try calling the police?" Samantha asked.

"I tried that already." Sarah replied. "My phone is broken, and your phone as well as Miti's phone isn't getting a signal."

"Where are they right now?" Samantha asked.

"I left them back at that cabin." Sarah replied. "Let's look around for a second we have to find something that can at least help us."

They began to look around the cabin. They searched around the place couldn't find anything useful. As they were looking Sarah came across a wooden hatch. She called Samantha and the two opened the hatch. When they opened it the two saw a staircase that leads deeper into the cabin. The only problem the two had was that it was too dark for them to see.

"We have to find a flashlight." Said Sarah. "Whatever is down here can really help us in getting out of this forest."

Samantha nodded in agreement and the two began to look for a flashlight. Sarah was going through the leaving room until she hit something with her leg. She looked down and saw a flashlight. When she picked it up she turned it on and where the beam of light flashed made her scream. Samantha came to see what the scream was about and when she noticed Sarah was frozen with fear and looked at what towards the direction of the flashlight. It made her puke on the spot.

It was a young boy whose face was bashed with something hard so many times that his face was opened up. They also saw a writing on the wall that read.

"HE IS A FAKER!!!!."

Which psycho would do this: is it one of Marcus' is associates or was it someone even more brutal. Sarah then noticed he had a key in his right hand. She went closer, knelt near him and slowly took the key from his hand. There was a tag on the key. It was written "locker no 556".

"Where do you think this key goes?" Sarah asked.

"I'm not sure. Keep it just in case." Samantha replied. "So do we go to that weird basement or we keep going around this thick forest?"

"Let's go to the basement." Sarah replied. "We might find something that can help us get out of this forest."

The two went to the basement. As they went deeper and deeper they finally reached to the bottom. It appears that the two had found themselves in an underground mine. They could tell because they found some rails and some mine carts. They kept going deeper and deeper through the mine till they saw a wooden door.

"Where do you think this door leads?" Samantha asked.

"Not sure but this key obviously can't open it." Sarah answered. "Come on let's go. We'll might find the key somewhere else."

Before Sarah could turn and leave Samantha noticed that the door was not very strong. She noticed how the wood looked like and it looked like the termites have weakened it. She began to bash her shoulder against the wooden door. Sarah noticed what she was doing and saw it as pointless.

"Stop it you're going to hurt yourself." Sarah said but Samantha continued.

"Just trust me okay... I know what I'm doing." Samantha replied.

Then Samantha bashed the door one more time and the door fell down along with her. She got up and looked at Sarah and said.

"See told you I know what I was doing." Said Samantha. "Now pass me that flashlight." Sarah handed Samantha the flashlight. She aimed the beam of light towards the dark room. She then saw some lockers and each one had a three digit number tagged on top.

"I think that key might open one these lockers." Said Samantha.

"Yeah it might work." Sarah replied. "But we still have to be careful we don't know what we may find in here."

 "Or out there." Samantha added.

Then all of the sudden one of the lockers opened slightly by themselves. Samantha and Sarah noticed the rusty sound it made when it opened. Samantha flashed the beam of light at it. From a safe distance she could tell that there was nothing inside. She flashed the light at it and saw the locker no 553.

"Locker number 553." Said Samantha. "Hey Sarah who do..."

"Locker number 556." Said Sarah. "That's the locker were looking for."

"But what if we find something that won't help us at all." Said Samantha.

"We have no choice right now." Sarah she continued to walk around for the locker, "It's a matter o hope."

Sarah than took the flash light from Samantha's hand and began to look for the locker 556. When she found it she opened it and found a lot of valuable items. She found a shot gun, a pistol holder with a revolver and a backpack.

As Sarah was doing that Samantha was still curious about locker 553. Samantha looked inside and touched the wall of the locker. She then found a small piece of paper. She couldn't see what was written on it. Then all of the sudden Samantha felt a strong force pull her into the locker. The locker door got shut tight. Sarah noticed and tried to pull the locker opened but it was shut tight. Sarah heard Samantha's cries for help. Samantha screamed, cried and even tried to push the locker open from the inside. Sarah continued to pull it open until her voice began to fade. After a few seconds Sarah couldn't hear her sister's voice.
