"So puck, what exactly are you?"
Subaru asked, looking at Puck who was sitting on satella's shoulder as they walked around in hopes of spotting the girl who stole her insignia.
"Hm, you don't know? I'm a spirit who made contract with my daughter here."
He replied as he pointed at satella, referring to her as his daughter.
"Say, Peter. You are not from lugunica, are you? Your clothing also seems like it's made for combat."
Puck ask, a little suspicion in his voicewhich made satella distance herself a little and look at him warily.
Subaru knew a question like this would come so he had already prepared a answer for it.
"Well, I used to be a priest in a far away land."
He said, lifting up the black and golden cross, showing it to them. Satella looked at it with curiosity while puck still looked suspicious.
"Until the church was destroyed. After that, I became a traveler. I have spent the past 6 years of my life wandering around the world."

Subaru said, it wasn't true but it wasn't a lie as well and it seemed satisfactory enough for puck to drop his suspicion.
Satella on the other hand, had stars in her eyes as she looked at him with a child like curiosity.
"Woah... tell me more about the world outside! I haven't been to anywhere outside of lugunica!"
Subaru simply smiled and gently rubbed the top of her head in a caring way.
"We should focus on finding your insignia first. I can tell you the stories afterwards."
Satella blushed at the contact and nodded shyly as they continued to look around for a while before subaru got an idea.
Rummaging through his bag, he took out a note book and a pencil.
"Well, since we didn't get any leads on her by just simply searching, howabout I make sketch of her to ask others if they saw her."
Subaru said as Satella thought for a moment and smiled while nodding. Puck too, seemed to like the idea.
So, with that. He began to sketch the girl from Satella's description. And the end result seemed to be quite satisfactory as Satella and puck nodded in approval.

Now with a point of reference, they tried to ask others if they had seen the girl only to be met with the same disappointing answer.
No.
After hours of searching, they ended up in front of a building that was elevated from the ground and gave a wide open view of the city.
"I'm never going to find my insignia like this..."
Satella said in a droopy tone as she stood slumped on the railing while puck was patting her on the back, trying to encourage her.
"Ummm, Peter, I really appreciate your efforts but I think you should continue on what you were doing. It could really hurt your image if people see you roaming around with a half elf like me."
She continued in a sad tone with a grateful smile making his heart feel like it was being crushed as he remembered that same smile on that same face.
Only difference being that the once sliver hair were charcoal black and the blood that was flowing from the corners of her mouth as she uttered only 2 words.
"Thank...you"
Subaru clenched his fist and repressed the memories as he looked at her and smiled.
"So you're a half elf huh. Is that why you're so pretty?"
She looked shocked at his compliment as her face gained a massive blush.
She suddenly turned away from him and crouched down, covering her face.
Puck then flew up to him and started to playfully punch him.
"Peter, you sly dog! Just so you know, you'll have to get my approval first!"
"Peter, you idiot!"
Satella also joined in, still crouched and covering her face.
Now, subaru was once known formany things. His courage, leadership, strength, strategies and many other things.
But the things that were most known about him was his kindness and his denseness.
He was so dense that others sometimes called the black hole of stupidity.
Of course he never noticed that. And so, in this situation. He had zero idea what was going on.
So, like any other guy in this kind of situation does, he ignored it.
He focused more on the holographic screen in front of him as he saw something quite intriguing.

He thought, watching satella descending the steps with puck floating next to her and smiled, his golden eyes filled with determination as somewhere deep inside him, in the black void with the 2 orbs, a star appeared.
