# Chapter 3: Settling in Couriway Town

Toot~ In the early morning, a Ship sounded a long, deep Horn Sound and slowly sailed into the Port of Couriway Town.

Couriway Town is a famous Port city in the Kalos Region, and also a well-known leisure resort. So, even in the early morning, the Port here was already bustling.

The waters near the Port were filled with ships of various sizes and types, including giant Cruise Ships, medium-sized Yachts, and small Fishing Boats...

As soon as the ships docked, large crowds would appear on the Dock. There were workers unloading cargo, tourists entering the Port, and vendors hawking their wares... Pedestrians came and went in an endless stream, and the shouts and calls rose and fell, one louder than the last.

How long had it been since Bai Feng had seen such a lively scene? It had been so long he had almost forgotten what the Human World looked like. He stood excitedly on the Deck, watching the Dock getting closer and closer, his heart couldn't help but surge with emotion.

By this time, more than ten days had passed since he was rescued by Captain Sanders and his crew. After more than ten days of sailing at Sea, the Ship finally docked.

After a period of fumbling communication between them, Captain Sanders and the others already knew that Bai Feng couldn't understand their speech, but could understand their meaning through Pokémon.

Although they were surprised that Bai Feng could understand Pokémon Language, and also found it strange why Bai Feng's intelligence and Language system were fine but he couldn't speak, Sanders and the others were very glad that the child they rescued wasn't a little simpleton.

After more than ten days of difficult communication, Bai Feng had roughly learned that Sanders and his crew were an Official Exploration Team organized by the Pokémon League. This time they went out to Sea to explore an unknown ruin, and unexpectedly rescued Bai Feng on their way back.

In addition to this, during these more than ten days, Bai Feng also actively learned the new Language from everyone on the Ship through Bai Ye.

Everyone was very happy to teach him. Not only did they slow down their speaking pace significantly, but they would also actively answer any questions Bai Feng had. For example, when Bai Feng pointed at a Chair, they would tell him how to say Chair; when he pointed at the Sky, they would tell him how to say Sky...

Bai Feng was extremely grateful that he had met a group of kind and lovely people.

Sanders saw Bai Feng staring intently at the crowd on shore, walked over and said to him: "Once we're ashore, I'll have Mogu take you to the Police Station and ask Miss Jun Sha to take you home."

Mogu was the young sailor who first discovered Bai Feng.

Bai Feng nodded.

In fact, he didn't have a home! Wherever he and Bai Ye went, that was his home.

Because Captain Sanders couldn't understand Bai Feng and Bai Ye's words, and Bai Feng's newly learned Language wasn't yet at a level where he could communicate, they still didn't know that Bai Feng was a wild child raised by a Pokémon on a deserted island. They still thought he had just been shipwrecked and was temporarily separated from his family.

Everyone couldn't understand Bai Feng when he spoke, so he was too lazy to explain. He simply couldn't explain it clearly.

After going ashore, because Captain Sanders had official business to attend to, Bai Feng was entrusted to the sailor Mogu.

Mogu was an enthusiastic young man. On the way to the Police Station, he talked endlessly, introducing his hometown, Couriway Town, to Bai Feng.

Couriway Town was indeed a beautiful city. It perfectly combined the Sea, trees, and modern Light Rail, making the entire city full of rich natural and cultural atmosphere.

After judging, Bai Feng felt that this was a very suitable place to settle down. It had both the prosperity of a big city and a strong natural atmosphere.

In pleasant conversation, the two arrived at the Couriway Town Police Station. After the people at the Police Station learned of their purpose, Miss Jun Sha formally received them.

After Mogu told Miss Jun Sha about Bai Feng's inability to communicate normally, Miss Jun Sha said: "I see, in that case, we won't be able to effectively get information from this child..."

After thinking for a while, Miss Jun Sha suddenly slapped her forehead and said: "Right, I have an idea! Wait for me for a moment." After saying that, she quickly ran off.

When Miss Jun Sha returned again, she was accompanied by a beautiful older sister wearing a light green long dress.

"This is my good friend Ma Qiqi," Miss Jun Sha introduced to Bai Feng and Mogu. "Her Alakazam can help us communicate with this little friend." Saying this, she looked at Ma Qiqi and said: "Qiqi, please."

Ma Qiqi nodded gently, then took out a Poké Ball. As a beam of light flashed, a golden-furred Alakazam appeared before everyone.

After coming out, Alakazam looked at its Trainer with confusion, but then, not knowing what Ma Qiqi whispered in its ear, it skillfully took a pen and a blank notebook from its Trainer's hand.

Miss Jun Sha explained with a smile: "Qiqi's Alakazam can read and write. Since this little friend can communicate with Pokémon, then he just needs to tell Alakazam what he wants to say, and then Alakazam can write it down and tell us."

Mogu exclaimed in surprise: "That's amazing! It's an educated Alakazam!"

Bai Feng also marveled at Alakazam's intelligence in his heart.

With Alakazam's help, Miss Jun Sha and the others quickly figured out Bai Feng's true situation. Mogu said in shock: "You weren't shipwrecked at Sea? Was it this Gardevoir that raised you?" No wonder such a big child can't even speak.

After understanding Bai Feng's situation, Miss Jun Sha asked: "Little friend, do you have any plans? Do you want to stay in Couriway Town?"

Bai Feng shook his head and then nodded.

He could say he knew nothing about this world now, naturally, he had no plans. He did know about Pokémon in his previous life, but knowing about Pokémon and understanding the Pokémon world were two different things!

Staying in Couriway Town was a good suggestion though.

"I see... Since you are willing to stay in our Couriway Town, then I'll first take you to get an Identity Certificate, and then we'll consider how to settle you," Miss Jun Sha said after thinking for a moment.

To survive in this world, one indeed needed an identity.

Bai Feng nodded obediently, looking like he would listen to everything she said.

Seeing that Bai Feng was going to stay in Couriway Town, Mogu had an expression that said 'you have good taste'. After rubbing his head, he said: "Good kid. Believe me, you won't regret staying in Couriway Town."

Seeing that Miss Jun Sha already had arrangements for Bai Feng, Mogu said again: "Miss Jun Sha, I'll leave Bai Feng to you. I have other things to do, so I'll be going now."

Miss Jun Sha nodded and replied: "Don't worry, I'll make sure this little guy is settled."

After saying goodbye to Bai Feng again, Mogu left the Police Station.

Bai Feng's Identity Certificate was processed smoothly. He was young and his situation was special, so the Household Registration Office gave him a green light.

The matter of where to register Bai Feng's Household Registration caused everyone to worry.

"How about sending this child to the Orphanage?" At this time, a police officer suggested.

"That's probably the only way..." Miss Jun Sha said, slightly frowning.

Just like that, Bai Feng's destination was decided.

Bai Feng spent the night at the Police Station. Dinner was bought for him and Bai Ye by the police officers.

Miss Jun Sha came to pick him up early the next morning, and thoughtfully brought Breakfast for him and Bai Ye.

After Bai Feng finished Breakfast, Miss Jun Sha took out a Poké Ball and handed it to him, saying: "I'll take you to the Orphanage in a while. Consider this Poké Ball my Gift to you. You can put Gardevoir inside."

Bai Feng gratefully took the Poké Ball, and using the Language of the Pokémon world, awkwardly thanked Miss Jun Sha.

Bai Ye was not unfamiliar with Poké Balls. After interacting with humans, it had seen this magical Item many times, and Bai Feng had also privately introduced it to detailed knowledge about Poké Balls.

So when Bai Feng asked if it wanted to go into the Poké Ball, it decisively nodded.

Bai Feng was not surprised by this. His "mom" was very lazy by nature; usually, he had to constantly urge it during Training as if chasing it with a whip. Now that it had a chance to sleep soundly inside a Poké Ball, it naturally couldn't ask for more.

After Bai Feng finished Breakfast, Miss Jun Sha stood up and said: "I'll take you to the Orphanage now. I've already informed the director there. Once you're there, she will make arrangements for you."

Bai Feng nodded, filled with anticipation for his future life.

Before going to the Orphanage, Miss Jun Sha first took Bai Feng to take a bath, helped him tidy his messy Hair, and also bought him a set of suitable Clothes.

Bai Feng was very grateful for this, and sighed that Sister Jun Sha was truly too thoughtful.

The Clothes Bai Feng wore before were given by a member of Captain Sanders' crew. Even though that crew member wasn't tall, his Clothes were still too big on Bai Feng, an eight-year-old child. Bai Feng even had trouble walking.

After some tidying up, Bai Feng's appearance changed greatly. Although his skin was still dark, he could definitely be called a handsome young boy.

Bai Feng was very satisfied with his appearance.

Miss Jun Sha circled Bai Feng and looked him over, then teased with a smile: "Hmm... very good. Director Meili will definitely like you!"

...

The geographical environment of Couriway Town is very special. It is bordered by the Sea on one side and mountains on the other. These two sides are divided in the middle by the Light Rail that spans the entire city.

The prosperous areas of the city, such as the Commercial Area, Residential Area, Tourist Area, etc., are all located on the side facing the Sea, while Ranches, Farmland, Orchards, etc., are on the side facing the mountains.

It is precisely this clear distinction that gave Couriway Town its name.

The Bluebird Orphanage where Bai Feng was about to settle was located on the side facing the mountains.

Taking the Light Rail Train, the two quickly crossed a Cliff. The Bluebird Orphanage was located not far above the Cliff.

Standing at the entrance of the Orphanage, Bai Feng carefully looked at this place where he might stay for a long time in the future.

The Orphanage did not cover a large area. There were only three houses in total, arranged in a square shape, with a small Courtyard in the middle that wasn't very large.

When the two arrived here, there was a woman in her forties in the Courtyard hanging Clothes to dry.

After the woman saw Miss Jun Sha and the little boy beside her, she immediately put down the work in her hands and quickly walked over to greet them, saying: "Miss Jun Sha, you're here! Is this the child who will be staying with us?"

Miss Jun Sha nodded and said: "That's right. This child's name is Bai Feng. I'll entrust him to your care from now on. His situation is special; he has some difficulties with Language communication. Please pay extra attention to him."

Miss Jun Sha told the director everything about Bai Feng's situation in detail.

After finishing her explanation to the director, Miss Jun Sha had Bai Feng let Bai Ye out, and then, using Bai Ye's mouth, said to him: "From now on, listen to Director Meili. If you encounter difficulties, you can also go to the Police Station to ask me for help."

Bai Feng nodded solemnly and thanked Miss Jun Sha again.

After Miss Jun Sha left, Director Meili took Bai Feng's hand and led him into the Courtyard, while introducing the situation of the Bluebird Orphanage.

"My name is Meili, and I am the director of this Orphanage. You can call me Director Meili, or you can call me Grandma Meili..."

The Bluebird Orphanage was not large in scale. There was only one staff member, Director Meili, and the Quantity of orphans taken in was not large. Currently there were only six children, plus the newly arrived Bai Feng, making a total of seven.

It was precisely because the Bluebird Orphanage didn't have many people and the atmosphere and environment were simple that Miss Jun Sha arranged for Bai Feng to stay here.

Bai Feng listened attentively as Director Meili introduced the situation in the Orphanage, suddenly noticing a few small heads peeking stealthily from a corner not far away.

Director Meili also noticed them, so she reached out and called out to them loudly: "What are you doing? Come over quickly, let me introduce you to our new member."

Just like that, four little ones walked out from the corner, shyly. Three boys and one girl, all looking younger than Bai Feng.

"This is your new older brother, Bai Feng. You should get along well with him from now on," Director Meili first introduced Bai Feng and Bai Ye to the children. "And this is Bai Ye, older brother Bai Feng's family. You should treat Bai Ye as kindly as you treat older brother Bai Feng."

"Okay, Grandma Director!" the four children shouted in unison, especially their gazes towards Bai Ye were full of curiosity.

Then the director introduced the four children to Bai Feng.

The tallest boy was named Youta; he was six years old this year and looked like a lively and active little guy. Next was Nanako, the same age as Youta, whose personality was probably more quiet.

Below them were Ikki, five years old, and Xiaoyou, four years old, respectively.

Ikki seemed a bit shy; he hid behind Nanako the whole time, not daring to look directly at Bai Feng and Bai Ye. Xiaoyou, on the other hand, seemed quite outgoing. If Ikki hadn't been holding him back, he probably would have already rushed over to Bai Feng and Bai Ye.

Besides these four who were present, there were two other children at the Orphanage, one named Fuyu and one named Rimo.

Rimo was just a one-year-old baby, currently sleeping soundly in the room, so she wouldn't be mentioned for now.

The other was the oldest child currently at the Bluebird Orphanage, named Fuyu, nine years old. However, he wasn't home right now, but had gone to school.

Don't let the small size of the Bluebird Orphanage fool you; it was actually established with official investment from Couriway Town. In other words, Director Meili was still someone who worked for the government.

Children taken in by this Orphanage all had a very good Benefit, which was that after the age of seven, they could attend Public School for free.

Of course, the government would only support you in completing the most basic Education. If you wanted to continue further studies, you would have to bear all the expenses yourself.
