Xander looked at them, his face hard as stone. Without another word, he walked to his place, picked up the training stick, and barked out:
"Kids! Do it. Practice that drawing technique a thousand times—perfectly. You're not going home until it's done!"
Ben's mood darkened like storm clouds rolling in, but he gritted his teeth and tried again. Swing after swing, he attempted to replicate that one perfect moment—the stance, the tension, the release. only correct the grammar and spelling mistakes without changing sentences and rate it Sam, observing from the side, nodded slightly. "Ben, you're doing well. Now, do it another hundred times. The more your body adapts, the less your soul resists."
Ben glared at him, panting. "Devil... why do I get punished for doing it better?" he muttered under his breath.
Sam chuckled darkly. "Being weak is a sin. Starve for strength, Ben. That's how men grow. That's how a warrior survives."
Ben stared at Sam, fire sparking behind his eyes. A smirk tugged at the edge of his lips.
Without another word, he lunged—swinging his sword in wild, relentless fury. Every strike was faster, heavier. Pain didn't matter. Fatigue didn't exist. The world faded away.
When the brutal training session finally ended, the three of them stumbled out of the warehouse, soaked in sweat and running on fumes.
Their legs wobbled with each step.
But something had shifted.
They felt lighter. Not just in body, but in spirit—like gravity had loosened its grip for a moment.
Gwen and Athina collapsed onto the ground with a thud, the force catching them off guard.
Ben, somehow still walking, turned back with a grin. "Come on! Move slow. Have a little patience!"
At that exact moment, Will's legs gave out beneath him. He toppled like a tree.
Athina burst out laughing, Gwen right behind her, both of them howling as they lay sprawled on the pavement.
Xander shook his head and chuckled, walking over to help Gwen and Athina up. "Drama queens," he muttered.
Sam swung a leg over his bike and revved it to life. "Ben! Hop on—we've gotta be there in ten!"
Ben jogged over, hopped onto the seat behind Sam, and gripped the back bar.
The bike engine screamed as Sam twisted the throttle, the tires squealing as they tore down the road.
Xander slid into the car, shifted gears, popped the handbrake, and peeled out after them.
By the time they pulled up to the house, Amber was already waiting at the porch.
She crossed her arms. "So? How was training? And school?"
Sam and Xander exchanged a look. Sam scratched the back of his head.
"Uh… not great," he admitted. "We got more attention than we wanted."
"Is Alex awake?" Xander asked, avoiding her gaze.
Amber shook her head. "Still out cold."
Ben groaned and brushed past them. "Hey, old man—change that car already. It's a brick on wheels." He didn't wait for a reply, just disappeared inside.
Sam snorted. "Kids these days, man. They don't even flex anymore."
Xander laughed. "Back in my day…"
Ben pushed open Alex's door. The fan overhead spun lazily. Alex was still asleep, bandaged and pale, one arm draped over his chest.
Ben leaned against the frame, arms crossed.
"Yo, Cap… today was a disaster. You didn't tell me your name carried that much weight." He sighed. "Wake up, man. I don't know what I'm doing without you."
The door creaked.
Gwen stepped in quietly, eyes soft as she walked toward the bed. Her arms opened—instinct, maybe. She just wanted to hold him.
"Don't even think about it," Ben said gently. "Fractured rib. You'll crush him."
She froze mid-step. Her expression crumpled for a second, then she nodded and backed away.
Ben offered a half-smile. "Hey. We just have to wait till he's good again. Then we can all be idiots together."
Gwen gave him a look—something between fondness and frustration—and left, quietly closing the door.
Dinner was loud—chatter, clinking silverware, passing plates. But under the warmth, tension buzzed beneath the surface.
John looked at Gwen. "So… anything special happen at school?"
Gwen poked at her food. "The school's fine. But… I'm not sure about the future."
Amber leaned in. "What happened? Why the long face?"
Ben didn't hesitate. "Soon as they heard Alex's name—and Gwen's—the room lit up with rumors."
Athina nodded. "Especially when someone dropped the full name—Alexander Forster. Half the class went into meltdown."
John blinked. "Wait, and that's… bad?"
Ben turned to Amber, raising an eyebrow. "Aunt Amber, seriously. Terrible taste in men."
Amber threw up her hands. "I know! I can't change that."
Gwen laughed. "What he means is—we're getting way more attention than normal people."
Ben leaned back. "The students already knew Alex. Some guy whispered, 'That's Mr. Attention Seeker.' Like he was some kind of celebrity."
Sam frowned. "So what'd you say?"
Ben grinned. "I told him, 'That attention seeker is a war maniac. He took on forty guys and walked out without a scratch. Tell your ace squad and your disciplinary committee to hold on tight—because Alex is coming for their chairs.'"
He snorted with pride as the table erupted into laughter.
Athina swallowed her bite. "We definitely dropped a few hints. They know something's up."
Xander and Sam laughed. John gave Ben a high-five across the table.
Amber, though, looked uneasy. "Kids… you can't just go around spreading rumors about Alex. That could hurt him."
Gwen leaned in, her voice calm. "Mom. He's a good guy. People will see that."
Xander raised his glass. "Alright, enough talk. Good job, everyone. Sleep early—we go again tomorrow."
after Ben, Gwen, and Athina went to Alex's room and slept along with him.
That night finished, they slept fully.
Awesome—let's keep building on that polished version with this next morning scene. I'll upgrade the writing with natural flow, rhythm, and emotional clarity, while keeping your intent and tone.
The soft clinking of metal echoed through the quiet morning.
Amber was already awake, pacing near the entrance as she waited for the doctor. Her fingers fidgeted with her bracelet. Eyes fixed on the clock.
Cling cling…
She rushed to the door and swung it open. A familiar face greeted her.
"Good morning," the doctor said with a nod, stepping in without hesitation.
Amber smiled and motioned her inside. "Morning. He's in his room."
As they walked down the hallway, the doctor caught sight of the teens sprawled out on beanbags, chairs, and even the floor—all camped out near Alex's door.
The doctor raised an eyebrow. "Looks like the kids are pretty close."
Amber chuckled, arms folded. "They are. Children love playing more than resting. Thanks to them, this house feels alive again—noisy, but in the best way."
The doctor laughed softly. "Kids—wake up!"
Ben cracked an eye open, spotted her, and groaned. "Hey, doc…"
He nudged Gwen and Athina awake. The three sat up sleepily, yawning and rubbing their eyes as the doctor stepped into Alex's room.
She moved with practiced calm, unwrapping the bandages to examine the healing wounds. Her brows knit slightly, but she said nothing as she cleaned and applied a glowing serum—thick, amber-colored elixir that shimmered as it soaked into his skin.
She set up another IV drip and adjusted the bone-support wraps around Alex's chest, leg, and arm. Each motion was gentle, methodical.
Finally, she stepped back and nodded to herself. "He still needs two more days before he wakes."
Amber frowned. "Why do you keep him asleep this long?"
The doctor smiled faintly, her gaze lingering on Alex.
"I've known Alex since the day he was born. My mentor and I… we worried about him even when he was crawling on the floor, dragging trouble behind him."
Amber tilted her head. "What's your relationship to him?"
A fond smile tugged at the corners of the doctor's lips. "His mother was my master. I guess that makes me… an elder sister of sorts. Alex was always a handful."
Ben blinked. "Figures."
The doctor gently patted Alex's shoulder before stepping out. Her presence left the room quieter, but warmer somehow for the days that keep happening they going to school and get trained to core and sleep with Alex. Sam and Xander train Gwen and Athina and Ben cooked alive at morning and evening training. The rumor starting to peak on Alex and 4 members. Instead of combat class Gwen switched to magic class. Ben and Athina listen to the boring class and getting irritated by the damn class.
That night they finished eating and went to bed again. The next day early morning the doctor came to Alex and check his healing condition. She saw Alex healing progress and take out a syringe and inject an elixir into his neck. Alex slowly open his eyes looking at the doctor face!, "Hey doc! Why does my mouth smell like shit!" Alex said. Amber was smiling at Alex and say "you done well kid!".
As he saw Ben Gwen and Athina eyes with tears, ready erupt. "He got understand the situation and say "who cut onions in my room! Did you guys!". They ready jump on Alex, the doctor catch three of them and say "you know his condition kids!".
Alex feel the sharp pain at his chest, "awww! it hurts!". She say "Alex keep the bands on your body! Till 2 weeks no matter what! You remember right!".
"Yep! No running! No battle spirit technique! No standing more and walking more!", Alex sighed.
She laughs and say "you have to sit on wheel chair wherever you go! Right bye!". Xander and Sam rushed inside looking at Alex. Xander hugs Alex gently and say "you worry me a lot! Kid!".
Alex say "sorry for the trouble pops!".
Xander nods and say "you listen right! You can't walk right! I will arrange a servant for you he will follow you". Alex nods and say "thanks pops!". The doctor take out box for Xander and give Xander. She open it and give a syringe to Alex. Alex hold it looking at Alex. She say "press it against your chest and press the red button!". Alex press the tube against his chest and press. Sharp needle enter his chest and a liquid pass through his body. Alex look at doctor and say "what it!". The doctor say "you have to inject this serum into your body! Every morning and afternoon and night!".
Alex nods and say "can't we have any tablets or syrups!".
She smile and ruffled Alex hair and say "for next two weeks you need to use this medicine!" rate it
