Chapter 3 - The Void Between Worlds

As soon as the word left his lips—"Yes"—the world fell away.

There was no pain. No light. No sound.Just… nothing.

Chris felt his consciousness slip from his body. He was floating, falling, and feeling weightless all at once.

It was a bizarre sensation—his awareness rolling and drifting without control. Like a dream he couldn't wake from.

And then, suddenly, it stopped.

He was standing in a place that could only be described as infinite. A realm with no land, no sky—only endless void and swirling blackness. Strange currents of glowing energy drifted aimlessly through the air. He stood on nothing, yet did not fall. Testing it, he moved his leg cautiously, then began to walk forward.

"WELCOME, CHRISTOPHER GREEN."

The voice echoed from all directions, neither male nor female—just a powerful, undeniable presence.

"You have been chosen."

Chris turned around quickly, searching for the speaker, but saw nothing but infinite emptiness.

"Where… am I?" he asked, his voice sounding oddly distant.

"The Threshold. The space between what was… and what is to come."

He frowned, trying to make sense of the words. "You're not that old man."

"No. He was a vessel. A messenger. I am the Gatekeeper. I open the way for those who are ready."

Chris took a breath. It didn't feel like breathing—more like remembering what it felt like when he was alive.

"The world you knew is no more. Ahead lies rebirth. You shall awaken in a different realm—a world of ancient secrets, hidden magic, and unseen dangers. You know it… by the name of Harry Potter."

Chris blinked. "The Wizarding World? That's… that's not real."

"To one world, it is fiction. To another—it simply is."

He stood silent, trying to grasp the weight behind the words.

"You shall be reborn in this world. But beware—it is not the world you remember. Magic here is stronger. Deeper. Older. The spells of storybooks are storms in truth. The legends, the battles, the beings… all are amplified beyond your imagination."

Chris's pulse quickened. This wasn't a childish fantasy. This was something far more dangerous.

"To survive in this world, you shall carry power from beyond—mutations, yes—but they will not exist as foreign elements within you. They shall bind to your magic, merge with your essence, and evolve as your magic does."

Three glowing orbs floated toward him, swirling in the void—each pulsing with unique energy.

Telekinesis – The manipulation of matter through will and magic. No artificial force—just the mind and magic, as one.

Energy Manipulation – The shaping and channeling of magical energy itself. With mastery, even wands become unnecessary.

Telepathy – The voice and shield of the mind. An evolved form of Occlumency and Legilimency, granting both mental defense and offense.

Chris instinctively reached toward them. The moment his fingers touched the orbs, they dissolved and sank into his being.

"Your abilities are capped at Beta-Level. To allow Omega-Level mutations would risk destabilizing this world. While Omega is forbidden, Alpha may be reached through intense magical growth and mastery. But beware—power beyond Beta may draw the eyes of this world's Archmages."

"All your abilities are tethered to your magic. As you use them, your magical energy will grow. And with it—your potential."

He felt it then. A pulse inside him. A cap. A limit. And he knew—if he wanted to be invincible, he had to break it.

"It is done. Your path begins anew."

"You will awaken soon. Not as Christopher Green… but as one who will shift the balance of this world. You shall awaken as Thorne Edric Dreadmore, last of a shattered bloodline.Wizard by birth. Mutant by fate."

"This world will test you. Break you. Shape you.But if you survive… you will become something greater than prophecy."

"Now go."

"Be born."

And just like that—Light.

Blinding. Consuming.And then—

Awakening.
