Kyuu started explaining all the basics—magic, stats, quests, and the
Cloak. Apparently, I had to get accustomed to the fact that I wasn't in
Kansas anymore—or Earth. This world, Vaylora, was a game-like
realm where everything was a grind. And the worst part? I was going
to be part of it. Whether I liked it or not.
"So this cloak," I began, eyeing the Cloak of 'Nah, I'm Good', "what
exactly does it do?"
Kyuu smirked, clearly enjoying my confusion. "Well, it's... a cloak.
Duh."
I just stared at it. "Great. So I'm stuck here, wearing this random
thing I have no idea how to use. Awesome."
Kyuu looked at me with a cheeky grin. "It's okay, Zerin. You'll figure it
out."
I sighed, still not sure how any of this worked. But at least I had a
cute fox spirit to deal with. I could probably survive this, right?
But one thing was for sure: I wasn't going home anytime soon.
