Wide Panel: Packed arena. Energy electric. Banners waving. The crowd knows what's coming.

NARRATION:

Others?

They carry history.

Split Panel:

Tabar tightens his headband, eyes like steel.

Leo stretches his arms, eyes locked on Tabar.

NARRATION:

Two wings. Two warriors. Same position, same drive.

But only one can soar higher.

Tip-off at half-court.

Teddy and Mitch face off.

SFX: WHISTLE!

SFX: THWAP!

Mitch barely edges Teddy for the tip. Crenshaw takes first possession.

COMMENTATOR:

"And we are underway in what might be the most anticipated matchup of the summer!"

Game opens physical and intense.

Leo nails a mid-range jumper off a screen.

Tabar responds with a coast-to-coast and-one layup.

Mitch bulldozes Teddy in the post.

Teddy answers with a monster put-back dunk.

COMMENTATOR:

"It's a clash of titans! No finesse—just raw basketball grit!"

Crenshaw huddle during timeout. Score: Fairfield 18 – Crenshaw 18

LEO:

"Keep pressing him. He's not getting easy buckets."

MITCH:

"And we bully the boards. No free meals."

Second quarter momentum swings:

Tabar locks in and hits back-to-back threes.

Leo shakes his defender and throws down a powerful one-handed slam.

Teddy and Mitch get tangled—double foul called.

SFX: THUD!

REF:

"Double tech! Keep it clean!"

NARRATION:

Respect runs deep. But tonight, respect comes through pain.

Flashback (Sepia tone):

Young Tabar and Leo going one-on-one on a cracked outdoor court.

YOUNG TABAR:

"Keep up."

YOUNG LEO:

"I'm always a step ahead."

NARRATION:

Before the arenas, before the lights, it started on the pavement.

Third quarter intensity maxes out:

Tabar gets a steal and throws down a fast-break dunk.

Leo hits a deep step-back three in Tabar's face.

Mitch sends Teddy's shot into the stands.

Teddy answers next possession with a two-handed alley-oop from Tabar.

SCORE: Fairfield 56 – Crenshaw 54

Crenshaw timeout.

LEO (to Mitch):

"We're not losing this. Not to them."

MITCH:

"Then let's take it."

NARRATION:

No more smiles. No more words. Just war.

Final two minutes.

Tabar and Leo trade buckets—fadeaways, drives, contact shots.

With 20 seconds left, game tied at 70.

Tabar posts Leo, spins, and hits a clutch turnaround J.

SFX: SWISH!

SCORE: Fairfield 72 – Crenshaw 70

Crenshaw's last possession.

Leo takes it from the top. Isolation. Tabar waits.

Crossover—pull-up three—

SFX: RIM... RIM... CLANK!

Ball bounces out. Teddy grabs the board.

SFX: BUZZER!!!

Postgame. Handshake line.

Leo and Tabar meet, breathing heavy.

LEO:

"This ain't over."

TABAR (nods):

"Wouldn't want it to be."

NARRATION:

One rivalry settled—for now. But the fire never dies.
