Synopsis
Sixteen-year-old Amira has spent her life loving from afar. Zayn, her older cousin, was her first crush—the boy she once followed around like a shadow, the soldier who made her heart race before she even knew what love was. But over time, she buried her feelings under layers of sarcasm and silence, pretending not to care. What Amira doesn't know is that Zayn once loved someone else—Ayesha, their older cousin and the family’s golden girl. Their secret relationship ended in heartbreak, and Zayn returned home distant and changed. But secrets have a way of unraveling. Behind the screen, Amira finds comfort in a mysterious online friend. She confesses everything—her dreams, her insecurities, and her love for Zayn. What she doesn’t realize is that the person she’s been pouring her heart out to… is Ayesha. Ayesha, who already knew. Ayesha, who only pretended not to. When the truth surfaces, Amira is left shattered, caught between betrayal and the memory of comfort. As old wounds reopen and hearts collide, Amira must navigate the tangled web of hidden truths, forbidden love, and the painful beauty of growing up. Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 :A mamory: Garden at dusk

A family grathering in their shard ancrstral home's garden . The sun is dipping low, casting an orange hue over everything.Kids are playing . Laughter echoes. But little Amira is still, hidden halfway behind a tree .

Amira was six years old the first time she felt her heart do something strange.

It happened quietly, beneath the hibiscus tree, where she watched her cousin from a safe distance. Zayn was twelve, tall (in her eyes), and impossibly cool. He was laughing at something one of the older boys said, the sound like music in her tiny ears.

She tilted her head, staring dreamily. "Waaaaaaoooow," she whispered, the word long and breathy, drawn out in awe.

"Big brother is so pretty," she mumbled to herself.

Zayn turned slightly, and she squeaked, ducking behind the tree. Her heart pounded like she'd stolen something.

She hadn't learned the word for it yet—crush, love, longing. But right there, in the fading sunlight, a quiet seed was planted.

One that would grow in shadows for years to come.
