Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Prologue

Douluo Continent, Heaven Dou Empire, Fasno Province, Holy Soul Village.

"What year is it again? Judging by the time, spirit awakening day should be coming soon, right?"

Tang Yin lay on the mountainside, a Blue Silver Grass stalk in his mouth. The lazy sunlight spilled over him as he silently enjoyed the view—one he'd never seen in his past life.

"Brother! Come home, it's time to eat!"Tang San came running over, a freshly hunted rabbit in hand, and called out.

"Heard you, Little San."

With a swift kip-up, Tang Yin got to his feet, patted the dirt off his clothes, and followed Tang San home.

On the way back, Tang Yin glanced at the rabbit in Tang San's hand and chuckled inwardly:"Little San, oh Little San… if only you knew your future wife is a rabbit spirit beast… what would you think?"

He couldn't help but laugh out loud at the thought.

"Brother, what's so funny?"Tang San looked puzzled as his brother suddenly burst into laughter.

"Nothing. Just thought of something happy."

Tang Yin waved his hand nonchalantly.

"Oh..."

Tang San gave him a side glance, thinking:"Why's Brother acting weird again? Whatever, better hurry back and cook for Dad."

Soon, the two stepped through the doorway, only to see Tang Hao slumped over the table, a wine bottle in hand, fast asleep.

Tang Yin curled his lip:"A dignified Title Douluo, and yet we have to support him now. What a joke."

In his previous life, Tang Yin had no parents. He survived a harsh winter on sheer will—and perhaps a little help from the strange powers of his heterochromatic eyes. That winter marked the start of his fight to live.

Due to those odd eyes, people avoided him. Not even odd jobs would take him. Luckily, a ramen shop owner took him in, and he survived.

The shop owner was obsessed with Naruto, which aired during his youth. Under his influence, Tang Yin grew to love it too, especially the Uchiha Clan's Sharingan, which gave him the illusion he could awaken one himself.

Reality, however, was cruel. The shop owner died of cancer. Grief overwhelmed Tang Yin, and his eyes subtly changed… but no one ever saw. He shut himself in, burying his soul in manga and novels, trying to escape a world that held no love for him.

But the heavens weren't entirely heartless. At the exact moment he finished the final chapter of Naruto, his heart stopped.

And when he opened his eyes again, he was in Douluo Continent, reborn as Tang San's older brother. As a reader of the original story, he knew Tang Hao's true identity—but held no admiration for the man.

After all, he'd basically left Tang San to fend for himself. Had Tang San not been a transmigrator too, he would've long been dead.

Now a transmigrator himself, Tang Yin had no cheat system or golden finger. It was frustrating.

Thankfully, his unique eyes weren't totally useless. He had memorized all of Naruto's jutsu techniques, which served as his personal golden finger. As soon as he could walk, he began training Naruto-style.

Perhaps due to this world's laws, he couldn't extract chakra, but he could use soul power to mimic chakra training—tree climbing, water walking, and balance training.

"Looks like I'll have to wait until I awaken my spirit to see if I can really use ninjutsu."Tang Yin thought to himself.

"Brother, go wake up Dad. I've finished cooking."Tang San held a small bowl and spoke to Tang Yin, who sat beside Tang Hao.

Tang Yin nodded, patted Tang Hao's back, and said:"Dad, time to eat."

Hearing this, Tang Hao groggily rubbed his eyes and sat up, ready for dinner.

Knock knock knock… KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!

Just as Tang San placed the rabbit meat and rice porridge on the table, a loud knock came from the door.

"Who is it?"Tang San stood up, confused, and went to open the door.

"Could it be... Old Jack?!"Tang Yin's heart leapt in joy.

As expected, the door opened to reveal the tall, spirited, neatly dressed elder with slicked-back hair—none other than Old Jack, the man hoping his village could produce another spirit master.

"Grandpa Jack, what brings you here?"Tang San asked curiously.

Old Jack looked at Tang San with grandfatherly affection and said:"Little San, the Spirit Master will arrive tomorrow to awaken your spirits. I came to inform you and your brother, and to wish you good luck. May you awaken strong spirits."

Upon hearing this, Tang Yin sighed in relief:"I wonder what I'll awaken. A Sharingan? Or maybe the Clear Sky Hammer?"

As Tang Yin daydreamed about his spirit awakening, Old Jack turned his gaze to the still-eating Tang Hao. Rage boiled within him.

"Tang Hao! You're a grown man and yet you're living off two kids! Have you ever acted like a proper father?!"

Tang Hao acted like he didn't hear, munching calmly on the roasted rabbit Tang San cooked, as if Old Jack wasn't even talking to him.

Tang San and Tang Yin stood off to the side, awkwardly silent. After all, Old Jack wasn't wrong.

Just as Old Jack was about to scold more—

"Little Yin, Little San, if you don't eat soon, I'm finishing it all."

With that one line, Old Jack's face turned an impressive shade of purple. He trembled, finger raised, ready to explode.

Tang Yin quickly grabbed his hand, weathered with age, and softly said:"Grandpa Jack, it's okay. We'll be there tomorrow."

Tang San added beside him:"Yeah, Grandpa Jack. Go home and rest. We haven't eaten yet."

With a long sigh, Old Jack turned to leave, muttering:"Such good kids... what a pity they've got a father like Tang Hao..."

Both brothers heard the muttered complaint loud and clear—training had heightened their senses. The corners of their mouths twitched as they closed the door.

Tang Hao ignored them, finished his meal, then walked over to the forge, pulled the bellows, and began hammering iron.

Tang Yin and Tang San scarfed down leftovers, the sound of hammering spurring them on.

No other reason—Tang Yin wanted to see the legendary Chaotic Cloak Hammer Technique for himself.

Tang San, on the other hand, wanted to learn forging as a cover to make his hidden weapons.

After they cleaned the dishes, they saw Tang Hao still forging.

Tang San asked,"Father, can you teach me how to forge?"

Tang Hao paused.

"Little San, you want to learn forging?"

Tang San nodded. Tang Yin, intrigued, nodded as well.

"Alright. Watch carefully."

He picked up a hammer and began striking the metal.

Clang clang clang… clang clang clang…

Each strike echoed like a drumbeat. If you listened closely, it almost had a musical rhythm to it.

Tang Yin glanced at Tang San, who was totally absorbed in the hammering. He didn't even notice being watched—a rare thing.

"As expected of the protagonist… different breed."Tang Yin thought.

Soon, the lump of refined iron had changed shape under the hammer.

"So? You two learn it yet?"

Tang San nodded.Tang Yin shook his head.

Seeing this, Tang Hao's brow furrowed."You're the older brother. If Little San can learn it, why can't you?"

Tang Yin was speechless."Damn, since when did being the older brother mean you inherit your sibling's talents?"

But he didn't dare say that. He wasn't strong enough yet to sass back.

He pouted, voice full of grievance:"Maybe Little San's just gifted. I didn't get it."

Tang Hao's expression softened. After thinking for a bit, he said:"Fine, then watch again."

He motioned for Tang San to come over and began forging once more.

Tang San picked up the hammer. His first reaction:"Heavy. Damn heavy!"

He quickly ran his Mysterious Heaven Skill, which helped lighten the load.

Clang clang clang… clang clang clang…

The hammer rang out again.

"Ten strikes…"

"Thirty strikes…"

Before long, Tang San was drenched in sweat, unable to lift the hammer anymore.

"Thirty-one strikes, huh?"A glint flashed in Tang Hao's eyes. He turned to Tang Yin.

"Your turn, Little Yin."

"Mm."

Tang Yin took the hammer from Tang San—CLANG!—and dropped it straight to the ground.

Tang Hao's face stiffened. He snatched the hammer away and coldly said:"If you can't lift it, then from tonight onward, I want a thousand strikes from both of you!"

Tang San was stunned.

"Got it, Father."

Tang Yin, eyes glowing red for a split second, muttered:"Understood."

With that, Tang Hao returned to his room. Just as he lay down, he shouted:"Start tonight!"

Tang San patted Tang Yin's shoulder."It's okay, Brother. Just a thousand hits. I'll do it with you."

The red faded from Tang Yin's eyes as he smiled:"Heh, I'm your big bro. You think I'd wimp out?"

He struggled to lift the hammer, then began striking the iron.

Tang San joined in, hammering alongside him.

Inside the house, hearing the steady rhythm of iron on steel, Tang Hao's rigid face softened slightly.

He murmured to himself:"Looks like I can pass the Chaotic Cloak Hammer Technique to Little San…"
