Chapter 19 - --Ascend, Eclipse Sigil--Chapter 19--

A sharp stillness washed over the battlefield.

The underground chamber trembled faintly, as if the world itself was holding its breath. Kael stood alone at the heart of it, sword gripped tightly in his left hand. Flames licked up the blackened blade, wild and alive, yet somehow under his control.

He felt it.

A pulse.

A surge of something ancient and relentless.

Power.

Not just flowing through him—but becoming part of him.

His right hand—his angelic hand—began to glow, a bright white light pulsing from within his skin. The mark of his sigil blazed furiously, radiating divine energy. But then, something else stirred.

From his left… a deep shadow emerged. Not heavy or cold, but fierce, alive, burning black with dark fire. Umbra Essence. Pure and untamed.

White and black.

Light and shadow.

Lumen and Umbra.

Kael's body trembled, suspended in the air as opposing forces wrapped around him. The contrast was terrifying. Beautiful. Divine.

All around him, the Black Fang soldiers stood frozen, their expressions twisted in awe and terror.

"What… is this…?" one of them muttered.

Veyrith, bruised and kneeling from the earlier battle, raised his head slowly. His confident smirk had vanished.

"No… It can't be…"

The sigil on Kael's back shimmered like liquid gold—then began to move.

First, just a ripple.

Then a slow, crawling shift.

It twisted along his skin like ink coming to life.

His Glow Sigil—no longer just glowing.

It was alive.

"W-What the hell is that?!" a voice shouted from the crowd.

Yuna stepped forward, her eyes wide. She didn't move. Couldn't. All she could do was stare.

His white side pulsed like a star. His black side blazed like a wildfire. The two powers coiled together but didn't fight—they danced, harmonized.

And in that moment…

Kael opened his eyes.

Brilliant silver.

Piercing. Calm. Absolute.

The energy around him flared, cracking the stone beneath his feet, shaking the very air.

Yuna whispered under her breath, "Kael…?"

He slowly descended to the ground, flames trailing from his sword, a halo of white and black energy surrounding him like a storm held at bay.

The Eclipse Sigil had awakened.

And with it, something the world hadn't seen in a long, long time.
